When you are looking for crappie in the winter, how do you go about it, do you side scan or use regular sonar, and what or how many fish are you looking for before you stop and put your trolling motor down. Thanks for your response.😊
First some of these fish will be really shallow 3'-10' deep so it would be hard to see them scattered up in the water column. Once the fish come up they will scatter in pockets and coves off the main channel A lot depends on your lake and where to look , steep banks lines with deep water is a good place to look, Over the creek channels. In this particular video we found them in deep coves. Good Luck!

Reason why I ask is that this is the first season of winter livescoping for me, still learning.😊
