You can find crappie anywhere you fish, great job and great fisherman. You teach and show us so much to help us catch crappie. Please keep the vidio's coming. LOVE them. God Bless !
@903fishing the crappie jigs also can land you nice bass too. The added benefit adding trophy bass by procure and game on. You can use crappie cocktail if it seems hard to locate taget species it helps draw fish in by scent. Not being stingy with procure trophy bass or crappie cocktail. 😊❤
@@joegrande4848Funny you should mention doing that... I actually ended up recently using a Bobby Garland Crappie jig on a lighter action Crappie rig at a place where I like to fish at and thought that I had just snagged a rock, since I was jigging it near a bank covered with fairly large rocks, right up until the "rock" I snagged started swimming off to the side when I pulled on it to try and free it. When I got it in after a bit of a struggle, it turned out that it was actually at least a 5 pound pretty nice looking Largemouth Bass that was seriously thick AF and it felt like I had truly just reeled in an actual train with a twig or something similar. That was actually the single biggest fish, and Bass as well, that I have caught in quite some time and I honestly had an absolute blast fighting the thing to the bank after I caught it before snapping a few quick pictures and turning it loose. 10/10 would do that again but with a slightly stouter setup just for a bit of extra leverage and assurance that one of my favorite crappie poles won't potentially get broken in the process.
Those perches sure made my day I woke up feeling bad but feeling better now. Hope the young guys are taking everything in. There’s lots for them to learn, you’re a great teacher !
I just got a new fish finder yesterday I went from a Garmin striker 4 to the Garmin echomap touch 74sv I'm hoping the weather holds off over the weekend so I can try it out
Great video, really nice crappie . Is that noise your trolling motor? You said you use a Piscifun Viper X 500. I ordered two Piscifun Viper X 2000. Is there a reason you use the 500? I wanted anti reverse and bigger spool, so 2000 it was. Thanks for the great content.
I don’t use anything over a 1000 reel. Way to big for my liking. The spools hold plenty of line for me. Do you ever use the anti reverse? I don’t lol it has drag and that’s all you need really. Thanks for watching! God bless!
That is the shorten scientific name. But yes, it’s fine to eat! And it comes right off, it’s not in the meat, just on the outside of the fish. Thanks for watching! God bless
Would you like to come up here and ice fish this year. a lake up here produces 14 plus inch crappies. Would like to have you up here and fish wth ya!!! @@903fishing
Got to tell you guys it's frustrating to watch fishing videos and nobody mentions lake names or towns. I get tired of watching people catching fish and not know where to go.
Won’t find many TH-camrs tellin you where they are, and that’s for a reason. The purpose on making these videos is for you to use these techniques on your own lake. Not to come fish the BrushPile this video was made on. Surely that make sense. Thanks for watching!
Gotta put your own time in dude. Maybe a good starting point though- in my state, the fish and game website and reg book lists every body of water statewide and the species of fish that are in that body of water. If you’re just getting into fishing, shouldn’t take much to figure out peak fishing seasons, usually prespawn periods. Up here, May/June is a good time for a newer fisherman to be out honing their craft. The rest of it you just have to figure out through experience.

When its serveral minutes of no bites and cast at least 4 times minimum. Going back a little later sometimes helps
That is true! And it definitely does work! Thanks for watching! God bless

That is the shorten scientific name. But yes, it’s fine to eat! And it comes right off, it’s not in the meat, just on the outside of the fish. Thanks for watching! God bless
What store did you get your slip float from?
I get mine Walmart! I have heard a lot of wal marts do not carry them! Every Walmart in my area carries them.
@903fishing Are they the 1.5 or 2" size?
we would like to see the bobber float but your rod & hand is always in the way .
Hard to do that on these videos. But I do have plenty of kayak crappie videos that shows zoomed in bobber action. Thanks for watching! God bless
Are you fishing in Indiana?
