Love that you sacrificed a good ratchet for a video, goes to show anything can be broken. Just an idea, although thing might be this way already. I had a good excuse to buy a chrome half inch set specifically for lug nuts because my rims have the nuts recessed and sometimes the impact half inch won’t fit. Amazing how overtight people put these wheels on, if only everyone owned a torque wrench, your days would be a lot easier lol

I love watching Snap-On break. Makes me smile, all while Snapper divas blame you on why it broke. Good thing it has a warranty. But will he be there this week to fix it, and then question you on what you did to break it? HF will replace their's same day, no questions. The difference, there is none, they both would've broke. 😂

@@fancybiscuit4472 No the center cap flares outward preventing a thicker socket from going in the lug walls without damage to the center cap itself. Removing the center cap will indeed give you the clearance to fit your 1/2 drive impact socket and a gun to remove the lug nut. You'd know this if you've ever had to find the 2 hex screws that are actually screws and not decoration to remove the center cap on those ultra wheels instead of eyeballing the lug walls through a cell phone video. One day you might actually get to check tire pressure if you ever decide to work on cars and not just watch videos of other guys doing it... poorly.
Quick tip for when you do- A 3/8s flex head with a cheater bar is not the tool to use when removing full size truck lugs. I'm glad it broke on camera for them. Up until then that moment the video was painful to watch.

  • @FLINTmitten810

Dudes using a flex head ratchet, pushing not pulling up for leverage, and a 3/8 drive to top it all off. You’d think someone with shiny chrome wheels & shiny brand new snap on tools would have enough money to just buy the correct tools. Coulda took a 20 dollar bill to harbor freight and that would’ve done the trick. Also ALWAYS pull upward and rather then try to push down on a ratchet to achieve the most leverage therefore applying the most amount of torque.
