      I imagine they will soon enough. GF9/battlefront has 1:100 tanks currently available all the way to Desert Storm era.

    #MLH great videos! For 15mm miniatures, I use a very small eye makeup brush for dry brushing.

    The Centurion Mk I, if memory serves, appeared in 1945 and was armed with a 17pdr and co-ax 20mm. It never saw action and served mainly as a prototype. It's turret was redesigned to take the 20pdr, which became the Mk 3. I'd have to double check but the Mk 3 might have been used in Korea, the Australians certainly used Mk 3's and possibly 5's in Vietnam. The Centurion kit is already out for Team Yankee and it includes the parts for the Mk 1. So far in Team Yankee the Danes get a 20pdr and 105mm gunned Centurion and the Swedes get a heavily modified one called the S.104

      Your quiet right about the Centurion MK1. A number was sent over to Europe, and the unit that received them was going through familiarising exercises when the war ended. There were more Centurions in Europe, while unlike the 1 Super Pershing, they never fired a shot in anger while it did.

      I will not be buying the game to play. I love painting up models like these as something on the side. Especially if their is a chance of putting them on the gaming table later. Like the Maus, we played 8 games with up to 4 of them. #MLH

      @MiniatureLandscapeHobbies That's a problem I suffer from. I find just about all tanks fascinating, especially their development. I start off with an Osprey Press books great for this. They cover a lot of armoured vehicles with lots of photos and water colours. They are soft cover or Kindle e-copy and tend to be around 96 pages. I find they give me inspiration for painting them up. I recently painted up a platoon of Australian Army MK3 Centurions for Vietnam. I found out the MK3 did not have a coaxial MG. Instead, they had a .50 calibre bolt action tracer firing rifle. That must have been frustrating for the gunner. Between the photos and water colours, I usually find where the aerials go. The more modern a tank is, the more aerials there are, especially command vehicles. But I would not know any of this, but for a friend talking me into painting them for him. This is why I love this hobby so much as it has a number of layers and you decide on the depth.

    I’m a diehard original TANKS player… I actually started in Tanks the Modern Age … then I picked up Hammerfall the Team Yankee intro similar to FURY … and then Battlefront released a little thing called Hit The Beach… and it’s been a love affair ever since … I’ve been slowly getting my hands on all the releases for the original TANKS and Tanks the modern age because I really like the game with its simplicity… I haven’t done anything with the new World of Tanks game… but this starter set is really cool… considering it has models that we haven’t seen before… Maybe I’ll have to see if they have some kind of card pack to get players up to date… tank cards for all the previous releases… because I sure don’t want to have to buy everything again just for the cards

    I was a little upset as my is-3 had too much paint and made it look bad, other than that this is awesome and really looking forward to the future tanks as well. It's unreal to own the Maus in my collection.

    The problem i have with this game is that you don't blind program your moves, so tanks with higher initiative seem to always have a clear advantage and basically a guaranteed win in a 1v1 game.
    I'm not sure why they did it this way when so many miniature games that came before it, did it better. The line of sight rules aren't particularly good either and this game generally lead to more debates over line of sight than other games.

      I play this as a beer and pretzels type game when looking for a quick miniature gaming fix. In particular it works well for young players. To me it is a stepping stone to Flames of war or Team yankee which have a much more refined and comprehensive set of rules. These might be more your type of game if you have not tried them.

    Dose this only include cards for the tanks included? Got a bunch of tanks for flames of war/TANKS, so no legit reason to buy the expansions unless thats the only way to get stat cards. Thank you 😊

      Yes it has cards for the tanks in the box. Although they are not officially compatible with the other BF/GF9 games.

    I have a question since it isnt very cleare to me. There is a game I can buy right now called "World of Tanks Miniatures Game" and it comes with a Panzer 4, a Sherman, T-34, and Cromwell. It seems to be very similar to this thing here. Are they both the same game? Is this an expansion to it?
    I apologize I just cant understand which one is which.

    • @MiniatureLandscapeHobbies
      @MiniatureLandscapeHobbies  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is the older starter set. It is the same game 100%. As far as i know there is no difference except for the models. You could buy either and be fully prepared to play the game. in fact the panzer 4, Sherman, t-34 and Cromwell det might be better as these are more versatile vehicles than those in the 2023 box.

    Hi, I’m wondering if you or anyone reading here can help me find game mode of the Cold War era Canadian Recce vehicle, the Lynx. A member of the 113 family. Not many nations used them. I’m challenged to find models of them. A bit sad as I was a Lynx Troop Leader in the 70s & I would like to show my grandkids on of several vehicles their Grampy soldiered in long before they were even thought of.
