You, Me & the RV
That gas station is better than a Buc cees😆
From 1987 to 1990 hubby stationed in Naples, Italy. We did a lot of walking in Rome. My younger days.
What an awesome trip! - Thanks for sharing - It was very educational - The history is mind-boggling. - Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks again for sharing your journey.
Italy is amazing. The people, the food, the wine, and of course the history. The shoes I was wearing the day we toured the Vatican actually fell apart! Did you make it to the Borghese Gallery? Thanks for the wonderful memories of our trips to Italy (2001 and 2022).
Great video with lots of great information. Thank You!
Great video guys. Hope to get there somsday.
WOW, u guys got the right timing shipmates, we are booked for beginning of March 🎉
Yaay, new videos !
God Bless both of you !! Yes Italy has got it all.
Waiting to retire there❤❤🇺🇸🇮🇹🍝🍕🍝🍕
❤🎉thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome
I've enjoyed all of your Italy video tours, but I think this one is my favorite! Ahhh.....someday! 😜
THANKS!! We had a great time!!!
My husband and I visited Rome when he was stationed in Sardinia. He was pick pocketed at the Coliseum, but being a sailor he had his valuables in his sock.
Sailors.....gotta love'em! Glad he was prepared!
We did a port call in Rome and I actually got to go to Christmas Midnight Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica with Pope John Paul II.
Same here. It was such an experience of great magnitude. We were seated at 9 pm , mass at midnight got out at 3 am…long day
Buc-ee’s with the Italian flare. Bags and pockets to the front. RFID / slash resistant bags are a must. I hope to see you try traveling on “Space-A” with the Air Force. Thank you for sharing and have a great day.
We did all of the above!!
The Scavi tour is a tour under St. Peter's where St. Peter is buried. It is an amazing tour down in the catacombs, but be aware that this tour fills up months and months in advance. We reserved space nearly 6 months in advance.
Would you be open to sharing a budget for the month long stay? I have no idea how to figure out how much we would need to save to do a trip like this and would love to have a starting point. I have always appreciated how open you have been about expenses.
Cool. Italian Buc-ee's
LOL
Be careful! My uncle was pick pocketed from his front pocket at the Colosseum They are really good!
Somehow that doesn't look like gas station food in the US. Who knew that Italy has good gas station pizza and from the looks of it lots of other stuff. It was nice meeting you two at the fund raiser and the show. Oh yea thanks for the hat and the fridge magnet. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Thanks! Glad to finally meet you!!!
What is the brand of the pick pocket resistance backpack please?
Baggallini. We bought it on Amazon.
Every time we have been there, the Pope was out of the country. You are so lucky.
Bet you are happy you are not in Nova Scotia now with all the snow
What is a noodle's favorite bicycle race The Tour de Lini
Was this gas station better than Buckees? With all your security tips it makes it sounds like your in the hood. I was in the Philippines and Korea and didn’t worry like this.
We were not worried about being in Rome. But pickpockets are a thing and its frequent. This was just a cautionary tail and tips to not lose your $$ or important documents.
And yes, the gas station was better than Buc-ees!
Thanks, but I saw in your video, Americans in Rome as they are. Everything that Rome or Italy consists of is missing, the small streets, the many no restaurants with Italian cuisine and the small communities around Rome where you can experience the history of this region in every aspect...
We only had a few days in Rome. We would have loved to have more time to explore and experience so much more.
@@todayissomeday I've seen it, it's such a tourist thing. I for one use hotels way outside of Rome, so I have to take the train there in the morning and have local restaurants to choose from in the evening.... But I also have it easier, live not far from Munich and sometimes take the train to Venice, spend the night there and travel on to Rome. I love it...
If you fast Stacy then you're not slow
The made Ceasar salad that day
Hmm, I'm not sure why I'd want to visit a place with so much crime. Did you get pick pocketed? It sounds like you did by the way you talked about it. I've had Hunt Bros gas station pizza. It's pretty good, get all the toppings you want for the price of one pizza (only in the USA).
Hunt Brothers Pizza is not what you can get in Europe, we have thousands of small businesses instead and real restaurants. Of course, there is pick pocket related crime in Rome because of tourists, but if you're prepared for this, you will have no problems, and it's an unbelievable city where you can see and feel amazing history everywhere...
We did not get pick pocketed. We prepared as the comment below eluded to. Crime is everywhere, if we were worried that much, we would never explore. We had a great time.
I have traveled all over the world and was never pick pocketed. I use backpacks. Nothing of value in the outer pockets. I also only take a days worth of spending money, the rest is spread out into different bags so I would only lose part of my money. Neck scarfs with a zipper so you can carry credit cards and passport. Pickpockets wouldn’t stop me from traveling.
What a gas station!
They let you in Italy😂
We are so glad they did!
That doesn't look like Rome Georgia.
