You, Me & the RV
Thanks... FYI, all the rest areas in MS on that stretch of I-10 have overnight RV dry camping sites away from the cars and the trucks. You were only a couple of miles away from the Jackson County I-10 WB Welcome Center (yes, you would have had to loop over and back but it is only a couple miles). The others Rest Areas, both the East Bound and West Bound, have the sites. The Hancock County Welcome Center on the LA border (combo E & W) is particularly nice with a dozen pull-thru sites. All the RestAreas have Dump Stations as well and potable water when not freezing. Same for I-20 in MS as well.
We USED to store things in the sink on travel days. One time I had a gallon water jug in there I think. As we travelled on the bumpy interstate system I heard a change to the rattling in the back. At our next stop I found out our sink (looks just like yours) was no longer connected to the kitchen counter. The studs used to hold the sink had failed and the only think keeping the sink off the floor was the drain pipes. That was a significant do-it-yourself fix when we arrived in camp. New travel rule: nothing with any weight rides in the sink.
Great info to pass along.
Good to know!
Thanka for taking time today to take pics with us. Glad you spotted my hat. Jean yelled at me for not thanking Stacy for her service. My bad. Thank you Stacy for your service. Lou & Jean
We learned NOT to do long drive days the hard way. Had 6 days to drive from Pensacola back to OR because we loved FL beaches. Never again! 😅😅
Spending school vacations in my parents big rigs, the sound of trucks puts me to sleep! My mom hated hauling refrigerated commodities, it’s the “refers” you hear. It’s the large refrigeration unit on the front of the trailers that’s the noisiest.
What a great team effort.
As always great info, love you guys.
Thanks for bringing us along!
I love watching yall. The videos are so informative and its good to get reminders of things we need or should be doing.
My wife and I are planning on getting an RV sometime during the next 6 months to a year. We are so excited to get put there and start RVing. We absolutely love to travel so we decided that RVing will be a great way to start seeing the country. We have been studying videos of many different RVers and their different styles. We will be in Tampa for the Florida RV show Friday and Saturday. Hopefully we'll see y'all there. God bless and safe travels
Love watching your videos. Always full of such handy tips and info.
Nice to see ya'll. You know your tips and process can help anyone traveling, with RV / trailer or not.
A little planning makes traveling a lot easier and more pleasurable.
I love ya'lls videos and hopefully can meet ya'll on the road one day.
God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels around the country. 👍👍
Well said!
I still use my slap band checklist that I first saw on your channel I don’t know how many years ago.
Thanks for all the good information.
Our pleasure!
Great tips from RV pros.
Great info, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, good video
Have fun at the show. We'll planning on being there next year.
My husband had one of them when he was working for R/L Carrier.
Great tips for RVing. Enjoy the Tampa RV Super Show!
Thank you! Will do!
Like you, with a big rig, we plan how far to daily drive, where we are staying the night, etc. However, in our itinerary (which is in Excel), there is a nightly camping location per day. When we reserve a location, I highlight in green each night of camping. Ones that can't be reserved because we can't book in their window yet remain yellow, until booked. Regardless of private park, HH, BDW, Boondocking each night is color coded. At a glance we can look at the itinerary and tell if we booked, need to book, etc. One stop shop as all info is in one place in our spreadsheet.
Also, giving Alasks is in your future, would you like to see our 86 day itinerary for Alaska? We did it with 36' DP towing an F150. Loved Northwest Canada and Alaska!! Saw all 8 Alaska US National Parks on that journey.
OMG! YES! YES! I would absolutely love to see your itinerary! Would you please email me at info@todayissomeday.net? THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Admitting you have screw loose is a start!🤣
Right!
Phil you need to add sensors to the spare tires. That helps know they are ready for use.
Enjoy the show. I have our tpms repeater wired into the clearance lights. We always travel with them on.
That's a great idea!
East McNeese my old hometown. Hope you enjoyed it.
Those salads look like the bomb. 👍
They were!
Yes, we turn the propane off as well on travel days, albeit there has been a 'did you turn the propane off'...and a 'whoops' happened, so an unscheduled stop at the next rest stop takes care of it! I 'love' to get behind the wheel, often wondering what's around that next corner, and feel very comfortable with our '36 Phaeton & towed, and if there is a lot of mountain driving I can get a little tired, otherwise I have no problem on long driving days..so far 14 hours has been the longest on a trip home when Covid hit, but that's not our usual driving day. 7 - 10 hours is no problem though, as often we'll get up at 4:00 Am make coffee, and are on the road when we have a select destination several days away! Thanks for the 'Plan to Eat' app, as I'll show it to my wife once she gets back. We're currently at an RV Resort for an extended time, with a ton of things to keep us busy, thus why my wife isn't here. lol. Stay safe you two!
Hey kids!! Perfect timing! Crashing on my chair and catching up on videos! Just dropped my cable so this is all we have now…just to watch our friends! Jack and DeeDee! ❤️❤️
Its good to see you again friends!
Also Goggle how to check the date codes on your tires.
Just because it looks like there's lots of tread left, does not make them safe.
Great tip!! We talk about that very topic in a few blogs and videos.
When you are at the show keep an eye out for Endless RVing and RV America Y'all and Our Journey In Myles. They are doing a meet up in the red barn Thurs-Jan 18-12:30pm-
We ran into a couple of them already. Great folks!
The next time you stop in Tallahassee make the effort to go to Ted's Montana Grill for lunch or dinner. I'll warn you though. It is so good you may never leave Tallahassee. Lol!!
I have a Garmin RV 770LMT. I usually plan my own route before hand and know where I’m going. Once however I was not familiar with where I was going and I had planned my own route but Garmin told me to a different route then I had planned to go. I decided to follow the Garmin instructions and it was almost a disaster. Narrow windy road NOT fit for a 42ft 5th wheel. I now always plan my route and if Garmin gives me a discrepancy I stop and double check before following the Garmin. So BEWARE. This occurred in Gilroy, CA heading to the Thousand Trails there
I just stumbled onto your site. I'm not an RV'er, but yall seem like a super cool couple, with some solid tips. I watch a channel You're New Zealand Family. They're trying to schedule an RV trip to the USA, I told them about your channel, if you see this, it would be super cool if you can reach out to them, I think you could help them out a lot and offer some great advice. Be well, and stay safe out there you two.
Awesome! Thank you! We will keep an eye out for them.
Hey guy, great video. Love the checklist. Question: my new rig has tire pressure monitoring already as it is a Ford F600 chassis. Should I also use TPMS to monitor temperature?
I need a tire pressure system and saw yours. Nice large screen, also need it with 10 transmitters. You also talked about a repeater any information would be greatly appreciated.

Phil and Stacy. Stacy and Phil. Nice video.
Great tips! Have you found that your Garmin has been more accurate and dependable than the gps through RV Life/Trip Wizard?
We do not use the RV Life GPS, just the Garmin. RV life is used mainly for route planning.
We looked at Eliks but you need a friend to sponsor you!
So many different tools to use, there must be a 1 all in one app
I , Rick, ALWAYS have a pair of ear plugs in case of loud noises at night.
Phil, What is the manufacturer of your double hitch receiver on Ruby. We are looking for one for our Class A for E-Bikes along with BlueOx. Also where did you purchase? Thank you for all the valuable content that you all share!
What is the dual hitch you are using? Like the fact you can move the blue ox in place with the bikes on the rack. Thanks
It is a RIgid, 10 inch dual rise/drop receiver.
Are you going to have meet up in the red barn?
No. We have a meet up at the local Elks lodge for our Veteran fund raiser. Check out our website for info. We will be walking around the show every day.
Where can I find the recipe for that salad?
She just throws things together. She will drop it in discord sometime this week.
Question for you;I noticed you have DV tags on your keep, but not on your Class A. Are you not allowed to have DV tags on the Class A?
Hello! New friend here! Great informational video.
Liked and fully watched. You have a beautiful day! See you around.
Thank you! You too!
Does your solar run your refrigerator or how do you do that
Our solar charges our lithium batteries that power the fridge. Before our solar, we used our onboard generator to recharge our batteries that ran the fridge.
What is your typical start/end drive time?
Normally, around 4 hours. It all really depends on where we are going and it we have to be there at a set time.
Crying Eagle is good 🍺
Which Garmin do you have? My wife and I are heading to South Dakota this summer, and RV trip wizard hasn't been our favorite. We have been trying to figure out better options.
We have the Garmin 890. You can find it here: technorv.com/collections/gps-navigation?Click=11774
@@todayissomeday Thank you very much!
Hello I just have one question as to parking with your vehicle hooked up. Is it possible to have someone in the car steering it as you back up so you can stay hooked up.
@@KylesRV. Ok thanks.
Correect. Not recommended by Blue Ox. It would damage the tow bars.
What did the snowflake say to the other snowflakes at the party? “Lettuce snow and have a great time!” Wocka Wocka

Hey guys! A lot of endorsements (commercials)
We cut most of them. YT adds them.
Dumb question here, what is the air hose to your car for?
Great question!! It is for the Air Force 1 braking system that is attached to the toad's brake pedal.
OK never heard of it before
Youre so pretty dear, you remind me of young jennifer aniston lol!
Yes she does! ;)
