This is a great stand, period! It's lightweight, climbs easy th-cam.com/users/postUgkxlQ7TDIrnnSXXbRgFFaxqwullRJJIuYAs and feels solid while in the tree. The seat is easy to fold up for climbing and sits comfortably for long days in the woods. The only downside I have is that it might be too comfortable, but I like napping in the tree anyway. This is the second Summit Viper I have owned. The old one is steel making it heavier, but this aluminum version is about 9-10 lbs lighter. I recommend buying a better fall harness as the one included is clunky and not super comfortable. I think it will work fine if you NEED to use it, but there are lots of other more comfortable options out there.

What a fantastic idea for people with disabilities. This invention will change hunting for those that can no longer climb tree stands. I had a bad fall 28 years ago and had to have several back surgeries over the years since. It became so painful to clime my stands that I eventually just quit hunting except for hunting a few times on the ground on our family farm. I’ve never felt safe on the ground during deer season. I almost got shot out of my tree stand years ago by someone shooting at a coyote across the field in front of me. My stand was just above the ground level where the coyote was. I was on the down hill side of a ridge. The bullet hit tree limbs on the tree next to me. I’ll definitely be looking into these stands.

When I was a young man there was no way I could have afforded a tree stand like this, or any stand unless I made a simple one that guaranteed great harm if I fell out of it which I tried almost every time I used it. Now that I’m old I could (and would) easily afford this man’s tree stand it looks terrific and is well worth the money, however I quit hunting because I can’t stand for very long or walk more than 20 minutes. If you can afford this tree stand not only will you have a great stand but you’ll be helping our service people who you should appreciate greatly. Thank you for sharing your video sir.

This is awesome and a fair price it seems. I will include you in my prayers for healing, strength of body and mind, and for you to continue to be able to hunt.

This is awesome. I love the persistence of a true hunter. However, I've never needed 3 to 5 guys to set up a treestand. In fact, I've always done it on my own and without a hiccup. Anyways, glad to see this thing exists.

Very cool idea and concept. Nice work and good idea. Just wondering about battery life in cold temps.

@ 1:15, I know it has been three years since this was posted, but you have the cable clamps on wrong. The saying goes, "Never saddle a dead horse." Meaning the saddle of the clamp should be on the cable part carrying the load and the cable part not carrying the load or dead end is under the bolt. Using the thimble is correct.

Read an article re: a hunter's disdain for stand-hunting: he said it is unsporting.
Fwiw, I know that there are plenty of
moral, careful hunters. That can actually be a better alternative to getting meat from the USDA, which is a grim alternative, but the only one most have available.
If anyone wonders why folks would care, it's because animals in the livestock assembly line - cattle, pork, poultry, etc have lives of fear and pain. This amuses a few, but hey. Once you care about critters, this stuff means something.
Thank you to everyone who's rescuing, fostering and adopting these days, btw. Bless EVERYONE who's kind to creatures in all places. You rock. ❤✨️🌿
