  • Audi TT RS 2022 Review: End Of An Era (Again)?
Back in 2019 I drove the Audi TTS ( • 2019 Audi TTS Review: ... ) and I harped on about it being an end of an era as the car was to meet its death, but guess, what? It’s still alive! Better still, I have the TT RS, which of course means a bigger engine and more performance. Let’s be under no illusion, the TT as we know it will eventually come to an end, but thankfully we’ve been able to enjoy it for a little longer thanks to a complete unwillingness for the TT to meet is maker.
The TT RS is powered by a 2.5 litre turbocharged five-cylinder petrol offering 400hp with 480Nm. This power is of course fed to all four wheels via Audi's legendary quattro system via a 7-speed S Tronic transmission. 0-62 is dealt with in just 3.7 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 155mph unless you select the right option, which will give you 174mph.
At the time of filming, the TT RS has three trim levels; TT RS, Audi Sport Edition and Vorsprung, with respective prices of £59,450, £63,450 and £69,450. The standard car offers RS Styling, 19” alloys, RS Sport Suspension, 12.3” Virtual Cockpit, LED lights, rear privacy glass, Super Sport Seats finished in Fine Nappa Leather, keyless go, smartphone connectivity, navigation and drive select to name a few.
The Audi Sport Edition adds to this with 20” alloys, RS Sports exhaust system, carbon inlays and black styling pack.
The range-topping Vorsprung is able to boast add ons including Audi Magnetic ride, Matrix LED headlights and Driver Assistance Programs.

Still love these - just a shame they sound so lame these days with the GPF. I reviewed a 2018 one a few years ago and that sounded glorious. Very well put together video as always, deserves more views. Come on subscribers!!

I’ve just got a 66 plate roadster & as it’s pre OPF it sounds like a bastard on full send……

The good thing about this car is that you can have fun driving it and survive the expirience!🤣

I can see a few of this monsters in my city. I guess it’s cheaper than a Porsche. right ?
The other day, you drove a Korean EV.
Well, when I m behind the wheel. I want to enjoy the « exciting music » coming from the engine.
I definitely think that the engine is more responsive in Manual mode as it is in my car s case.
    I l o v e Petrol engine cars
    Thanks for the ride Aaron.

Hi Richard, thanks for watching. No, they're a similar cost to Porsche Cayman, which is a similar car, albeit rear wheel drive.
