Went to visit Amanda's Grandma Then a look at next doors new house build Then a walk along the beach #Pattaya #Thailand #housebuilding #jomtien #beach #travel
absolutely mint location, a little bit hard work and some tlc would have that looking great, and on a calmer sea with blue sky WOW WOW WOW, but the sea level is very close to the house at high tide, has it ever come up to or into the house, thanks for sharing
I think in the last month they had a very high tide and it got to about 5 foot of the front porch It is a beautiful location and it could be repaired but a lot of hard work
Dave your right never get involved in family business but government take back land to build hotels I remember reading this about a fishing village in Thailand in the south it was very sad Dave
Dave I would suggest the near impossible. Get Amanda and her grandmother to sit down and explain to you what property rights they have and what the whole family's plan is to do with the yellow house. You can hire labourers from 3/400 baht a day to clear up outside if need be.
I've not a clue of the ownership of the property but I assume grandma owns it She has other family and I don't know how it works It's bad enough to get Amanda to explain anything to me without involving her grandma lol
No planning regulations there then. The height of the plinth they built it on I'm guessing they get flooded regularly. Hope you brought your hard hat for that big head of yours. I know your man means well but not normally a good idea to get involved in family business.

I love the turtle art! The traditional home looks tired, but I prefer that to the new build!
Yes I prefer the old style house

Her family has an oceanfront home??? She should be giving you a monthly allowance 😂
I don't know how much money The family has
To me they live a simple life
The grandfather was a fisherman up to a month before he died
Hi Dave, the new build looks a bit of an eyesore, Grandmas house is much nicer it has character.
Yes that's what's happening now
I to prefer the character of Amanda's grandma's house

Maybe grandmother too old to care.
Take care mate
Yes too much for her to worry about
She has family I'm sure they would do it if they were told to
The sea there don't look that clean tbh.
No it doesn't and its only a few miles out of Pattaya

No what goes on there has nothing to do with me
Yes think the sea sometimes gets up to the front porch but not very often
