Fly, levitate, haste, enlarge/reduce, invisibility, jump, longstrider, darkness, rope trick, tiny hut. The best fun about having an Abjuration Wizard in the party is watching other spell casters scuttle away like frightened cockroaches.
Need more love for my defensive nerds. I keep wanting to play one of these bad boys, but all the groups I play with have something similar and I wanna avoid stepping on toes
Abjuration Wizard is not a novice sub-class. Sure, your survivability is improved so it’s a little more forgiving of inexperience but its effectiveness scales exponentially with experience and each of its sub-class features is powerful and kicks in at just the right time. Arguably, the best of the 2014 PHB (Portent is over-rated tinsel) and definitely holds its own against any of the newer sub-classes from Tasha’s Chamberpot of Whatevering.
I just want to point out that dispelling someone who has the fly spell cast on them would be fun.

Abjuration is tight! Protect yourself, and your allys. Then absolutely shut down enemie spellcasters.
Super easy. Barely an inconvenience.
Honestly 9/10 is to be expected it's tanky but not invincible
