I’m convinced that finding the exact right shade of anything is the key to thinking it really looks good. I blame the size of my makeup collection, in part, on finding the right shade. I have too many high end items that I wasted money on because the shade is wrong 😑. I have drugstore stuff I love because the shade is perfect.
Have you tried the LA Girls foundation correctors? There’s a white to lighten up foundation that is too dark; and a blue one that neutralizes foundation that pulls too orange or warm. They are super inexpensive. ❤👍🏼🥰
@@sandybowers5085 Thanks for that tip🙏. I'm now photosensitive and only a tiny bit yellowish. Every warm or neutral foundation turns apricot/orange on me regardless of price.. So the blue would be very handy. I love NYX's Colorant porcelain which you can add to lighten things or add to sunscreen, moisturizer, etc. It's $14 and lasts about 10 months, and I wear makeup everyday!
My commitment to my sensibilities are every time I buy a new pallet, I will be throwing $$ in the trash. We ALREADY HAVE EVERY-SHADE, BLEND-ABILITY, BRUSHES, skincare- I’m done being a another sheep in the pasture. Sorry but makes financial sense for me. When your collection is 15k plus- it’s time to explore other important interests and investments. New year , new focus.
The flower beauty bronzer is also perfect if your eye shadow is to warm for your skin tone and making you look sick, just go over the top of the last color used in transition.
So nice to have options other than high end. I haven't bought high end cosmetics in years. I'd love a video on drugstore cruelty free cosmetics as that is all I purchase these days. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Really informative videos, well presented. Thanks
For anyone who struggles with concealer creasing, the Candid concealer is a must try. I have little crinkles under my right eye and this doesn't crease on me.
@@carmeng5421 Usually wherever Revlon is sold, though some Walmarts don't stock it for some reason. I bought my most recent tube on Amazon. I would imagine Ulta would have it too though i haven't checked there.
I agree, it doesn't crease. The formula is not thick at all but not too thin either. It's just right. I've come to the conclusion that concealers that are too creamy will cause more creasing. Too much of a thick formula is also not ideal for a smooth application. I bought Revlon's new brightening concealer, thinking Candid was discontinued and it's also a good formula.
I just finished my Milani foundation so my Flower Beauty foundation is next in line, that will be my go to until it's gone as I only keep a couple foundations on hand. I have the bronzer too, need to pull that out but I have been using my Milani Silky matte bronzer (another good), bronzer is another thing I only keep a couple on hand because they take forever to go through. Nice to see Flower Beauty recognized, really like their products and their Perfect Pout lipsticks are a favorite too.

Once your fav foundation/pump is empty, replace the pump in the high end brands with the “better” pump. If they fit of course. I do that. 👍🏻 Getting the plastic bit off the jar … I use a bottle open. The kind that has the narrow end. 👍🏻
I went today and picked up 3 colors of the nail polish, and I am so happy with the results so far. The brush wasn’t nearly as scary as i thought it might be and found that as long as I had a decent amount of product on it I could keep the polish smooth. I have over 40 Deborah Lippmann polishes, and this $2 polish has impressed me so far. Thank you!

I love Sally Hansen's Mega Strength nail polishes. All colors are gorgeous, and--like you--I have three backups of my favorite, Queen Trident, a pinkish-purple.
I have so many luxury bronzers yet I reach for the Flower Beauty Heatwave bronzer all the time, I have two backups I love it that much. It sits next to my Gucci and Tom Ford in their beautiful packaging, but it gets more love than they do 😂😂 Yesterday I pulled the Milani baked blush in Berry Amore back into action and OMG, it’s SO good. It rivals my Hourglass blushes especially Mood Exposure. And I also love the Flower Beauty Light Illusion foundation, which imo is a close dupe to my Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation. Another drugstore lipstick I can’t put down at the moment is the Milani Color Fetish Matte lipsticks particularly the shade Petal 😍😍😍 It’s difficult to find a matte bullet lipstick that’s comfortable to wear but Milani did a great job with this collection!
That candid concealer is truly one of the best concealers I've tried and I've used high end concealers before. I thought it had been replaced with the new eye brightening concealer that Revlon put out recently because I couldn't find the Candid anywhere. I too looked everywhere. Maybe they brought it back because of the demand. I will definitely look for it on line.
I have picked up the Flower Beauty bronzer a dozen times and put it back on the shelf thinking nope, not for me. Too light, too shimmery, too pink, I don’t see what Mandy is getting at. Finally after your last video I went back and decided to see what you you were getting at. OMG I get it now. I can’t put it down. I like the nail polish! I discovered that formula about a year ago when I bought “linger” for a light Fall color. It wears great! I’ve since added several other colors to my nail polish collection. I also like the mascara, but my job is fairly physical and it has smeared below my eyes a little. If I’m not sweating, the mascara is wonderful!! Thx for the tips! I love your videos! Wet n wild Incognito is the best concealer for me. Period. Covers beautifully and not greasy and I'm fair so it's the perfect color that brightens with no chalkiness. I'm a Senior and it doesn't cake up in lines either.

You know what? This morning I tested two things. 1. In the Riviera palette, the brush included, and a ABH brush I found at Marshall’s. No competition. The blender one from Marshall’s crushed it. It was soft and perfect. 2. With the same brush, a Tarte blush and a Physician’s Formula butter blush. I was terrible at blending both so in my frustration I buffed my entire sides of face. It was really interesting and a way I recommend testing face blush. Forget swatching! Afterwards take photos of your face from above, below, the sides, etc. I was convinced the Tarte would look better because it had brighter flecks included versus an allover even glitter. It makes me want to try all the Physician’s Formula butter products to find one to use over my entire face. Kidding.

Would you happen to have, a comparison for the Dior forever foundation in matte? It’s so hard for me to find the perfect shade. I recently tried Sephora comparison link, and it said that I am a 2CR in color. I had purchased the it cosmetics in fair light, which seem to really match my skin. Unfortunately, that caused me to have some clogged pores and you could see the product settle in my pores and sometimes creases. I really love how the Dior foundation goes on and blends but having an issue with finding the perfect shade. It seems a tiny bit too light. That foundation is great, but costs a pretty penny. Do you have any products that you love that may be a comparison? Would greatly appreciate your expertise. Thank you!

I bought that Flower Beauty bronzer a few weeks ago when you mentioned it and reminded me that it had been on my loves list at Ulta for a while. I will preface this by saying that I am a mostly high-end and luxury be really lover, but this is absolutely my new favorite bronzer!!! By the way, I have a light medium skin with a cool undertone. This builds pretty well and is definitely suitable for up to a late medium skintone.
I can’t through anything away either! If I dint love something I put it in my work or going no where makeup. Lol. My mom was very frugal. In the situation like your broken bronzer I chop up the pieces with the tip of a spoon (safer than. Razor lol) and then drop rubbing alcohol in. Make a paste and smooth it out. Let it drey. When it’s almost dry put some paper towel over it and press down with a uniform diameter tool like a glass bottom. You’ve probably seen this on TH-cam

Besides being as good as expensive makeup, I find it very satisfying to be able to throw out makeup that has passed the expiration date and it hasn’t cost me $60 or more.

OMG, I just found your channel! I really love all the high-end and drugstore comparisons. I, too, dabble in drugstore, but mainly use high-end products thinking that they are better. Can’t tell you how much money I’ve wasted on high-end products that really disappoint. Thank you so much for this video. Would you happen to have, a comparison for the Dior forever foundation in matte? It’s so hard for me to find the perfect shade. I recently tried Sephora comparison link, and it said that I am a 2CR in color. I had purchased the it cosmetics in fair light, which seem to really match my skin. Unfortunately, that caused me to have some clogged pores and you could see the product settle in my pores and sometimes creases. I really love how the Dior foundation goes on and blends but having an issue with finding the perfect shade. It seems a tiny bit too light. That foundation is great, but costs a pretty penny. Do you have any products that you love that may be a comparison? Would greatly appreciate your expertise. Thank you!

You might like the Becca Bali Sands bronzer - it can still be found on Poshmark. I bought an extra to keep on hand I love it so much!

I bought that Flower Beauty bronzer a few weeks ago when you mentioned it and reminded me that it had been on my loves list at Ulta for a while.
I will preface this by saying that I am a mostly high-end and luxury be really lover, but this is absolutely my new favorite bronzer!!!
By the way, I have a light medium skin with a cool undertone. This builds pretty well and is definitely suitable for up to a late medium skintone.

I can’t through anything away either! If I dint love something I put it in my work or going no where makeup. Lol. My mom was very frugal. In the situation like your broken bronzer I chop up the pieces with the tip of a spoon (safer than. Razor lol) and then drop rubbing alcohol in. Make a paste and smooth it out. Let it drey. When it’s almost dry put some paper towel over it and press down with a uniform diameter tool like a glass bottom. You’ve probably seen this on TH-cam
I’ve grown to love cooler toned bronzers! NOT gray a contour shade but a more pinkish in tone bronzers!!!
The Flower Beauty bronzer hands down is the best drugstore powder bronzer. I have two back ups because I am concerned that someday they will discontinue……

Hi new subscriber here! I love the Flower beauty foundation & bronzer & the maybelline lifter gloss too!!! I love the Lash Princess in the waterproof one, it’s really good. I always have transfer and flaking with most mascara! I even been trying out the Covergirl, Lash Blast waterproof. No flaking so far 👍I’m going to look for that Revlon highlighter & the concealer! Great new creator and you’ve already got me making a list. 🌺🌺🌺
That mascara flakes off. It was all over my face at the end of the day😅
