Gabi, this is SO WELL DONE! Your presentation and charts are flawless. I like how everything you recommend is reasonably priced - you are so understanding about the fact that most of us can't spend a ton on beauty products, but still want to look our best. You are so sweet, helpful, and professional. GREAT WORK! Thanks for helping us all feel pretty.🦋
You are so welcome! I appreciate the kind words. I do really want to spread confidence and encourage women to try new things! Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and everyone has a unique and different meaning to that idea.

Thank you so much for acknowledging the time it takes. I spent two full workdays just buying, testing products and reading hundreds of reviews from drugstore products so that I could break it down into visuals and make the best possible makeup kit for my viewers. My co-worker Laurie made all of the graphics and they turned out so great. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and to support.
I'm so glad I watched this video. I just purchased the Elf foundation for the first time and I smiled when I saw it made your list 😀. I've been wearing makeup for 40 years, but it's important to stay current and change your techniques over time.
PHENOMENAL VIDEO GABI!!!! Thank you for breaking every product down completely; I feel like I've been wearing makeup for 1,000 years & you totally helped me by taking all the guess work out of each category/product. This video is EVERYTHING! 💯❤️🔥
I’m so glad I came upon your videos. They are always so informative and detailed. I use very little makeup, except for when it’s a special occasion or meeting friends. I’ve learned so much. Now that you’ve educated me about makeup, I’ll probably use it more often. Thank you for your hard work in putting together your videos.
Just wow, thank you so much for this! At 54 I recently decided that I wanted to up my makeup game a little bit. I don't like to spend a lot of time on my makeup, so having some good basics will help me out tremendously. I'm so happy the universe lined me up with your content. I've loved all your videos so far. I have several to catch up on. Thank you, Gabi! 👑💯✨
The world of makeup is so overwhelming for me. After watching this video, I feel like finally I will be able to make an entire kit with basic products that I can use for light everyday makeup. Gaby you are amazing teacher! Thank you.
Another one for the tinted moisturizer category is the Wet-n-Wild tinted moisturizer. I would consider it light coverage, more than most tinted moisturizers and the finish is beautiful. And thanks for this video. I'm not a beginner, but I like a streamlined routine.
Gabi. You are a breath of fresh air! I have so many products that I have bought trying to put together something simple. You make it so easy, and girl, I am not spending a fortune ever again. I’m dumping everything and putting your suggested kit together. It’s pure genius.❤️
Gabi! THIS was the most unique, concise, informative make up selection videos I've ever watched. And to top it off...you did budget-friendly!!!! Thank you soooooo much. Too many influencers promote high end make up and fashion that is so unaffordable for most. I tell others about you...keep up the great work!!!
Fantastic video, Gabi! Thank you for all your hard work. I’m almost 60, and have been wearing make up since I was 14. You explained things perfectly in this video, and answered so many questions I’ve had for years!! ❤thanks so much!❤
I can’t believe you don’t have millions of followers. I’m sad I’m just finding you but will proceed in binge watching. Thank you for these amazing videos.
I think I would have appreciated all this knowledge had I been interested in utube while I was working. Now I'm retired, watching you and learning how to use makeup all over again. Thanks for sharing 👍 ❤❤
I’ve been wearing the Maybelline BB cream for years at 62 years old because I have pretty much unblemished skin but have lines a some wrinkles, and it doesn’t settle in the lines. I have combination skin, my nose is oily so I do a very light dusting of translucent powder on my nose. Another great video!!!
What an absolutely fabulous video! I’ve already taken a few of your recommendations and they’ve worked well. Now I need to watch this again with pen and paper to work up a shopping list. You really are one of the best creators out there. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
New to your channel. Love it! Can you do a video on makeup brushes and which ones to use for each product and how to clean and store them. That would be helpful, I think :)
Gabi, fantastic video! I am appreciative of you expanding on dry and oil women and the level of expertise. BTW can totally relate to shopping as a just outside Toronto girl. ❤
Gabi, I’m so glad that you shared these affordable options. I’ve been wanting to buy the urban decay eyeliner in teal but the price is 25.00 per pencil. I think I’ll try the NYX vivid💕💕💕
Love your videos. However I have not seen any videos about makeup for older women who experienced acne in their young years and ended up with deep acne scars. What makeup techniques do you recommend? I only see videos on wrinkles but not combination of those two issues. Can you make a video on this? ❤
I am 50 (although I look 40) and I just started having wrinkles and insecures? 😬😏😅So at this age I started searching how to use makeup products it's been few months trying to understand how to apply concealer, foundation, powder. Yes yes I know I was late.. Lol.. I only was wearing mascara and eyeliner and shadows and that's it and lipstick very rare and light color... So now I feel ready to learn more because I like all this 😄❤and after seeing so so many videos, you are the only one which I love the way you explain everything. Thank you so much for all this informations about each product. You are absolutely amazing and so so precious helpful 🙏🥰✨♥️🌹sorry for my english 😬🌹God bless you 🙏
*100% ♥* . Gabi, you've done it AGAIN! Fabulous recommendations! For my 57 yro face, which is normal/oily T, I want a 10 minute routine that gives me consistent, polished results. My go to's are Wet-n-Wild tinted Hydrator, Elf Putty Blush in Caribbean, Clinique Black Honey Pop blush (for longevity), a taupe/light brown crease color, pinky shimmer for lid, love a tubing mascara..Essence Bye-Bye Panda Eye, Clinique Black or Pink Honey for lips. I skip concealer, prefer a color corrector if needed and use Physician's Formula Butter Believe It Translucent in the T-zone. Essence Matt Bronzer in Sundai for added warmth without orange if I'm feeling extra. No one wants to spend cash on products that don't work, your affordable picks are most appreciated.
Girrrrrrrl! You're the greatest! Seriously! This is by far, hands down, the absolute BEST makeup video with explanations and examples that I have EVER seen, period! You're so knowledgeable and I adore how you explain everything so nicely, clear & precise, and at a good speed. You're not too fast or slow, thank you! I love how you broke it down, showed pics, and gave a couple of options for us to try out. I definitely wanna try some of these products and get going! Running to the drugstore and Dollar Tree, lol! Since I'm such a beginner, I don't wanna break the bank while I experiment! Plus, if you ask me, the drugstore makeup seems just fine and gives beautiful results! Just one question, if you happen to see this... Is there a very thin & lightweight serum foundation that you would recommend for more mature dry skin? One that has more anti-aging ingredients/properties in it? Possibly more than the BB cream that you just recommended? I actually already own that one, but I'm not sure if it has enough of what I need in it; bc I am older. Any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated! I trust what you tell us, I value your opinions, and I know you're honest, genuine and won't lead us astray! Thank you so much again for this fantastic video! Love you, your channel, and all of your content! You really do an amazing job! Cheers! 😘🤗🥰👍🏻💯👏🏻😁💄
You are so sweet! I'm really glad that this video was helpful for you and I did spend A LOT of time testing to find the best possible recommendations for you. If you find the BB Cream isn't enough you might like the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow go.shopmy.us/p-3913692 or L'Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation go.shopmy.us/p-1940433
This episode finally got me to subscribe 🎉! Thanks for breaking it down in such a clear and concise way, without being condescending 😅. I’m not a beginner. But a ‘basics refresher’ with great recommendations is super helpful.❤
I big THANK YOU for bringing your knowledge as well as product recommendations, you are byyy faaar at the top of my list when I’m wanting to learn more about looking my best on my over 60 skin 😊 love you girl & loved your video today!!
Thank you Gabi for all your hard work and breaking everything down for us. I'm almost 60 yrs old and love your content even though I've been wearing make-up for years I always learn so much from you.❤
I am 34 and just starting to be interested in makeup. This is the most informative, helpful video I have ever watched. The pantyhose/tights analogy was genius!! Thanks for putting so much time and effort into explaining this! I’m actually excited to go makeup shopping now!
Thank you very much for this helpful video. It shows, that no one had to break the bank to get great makeup products. I am following you from Germany ❤
Gabi, I love your Chanel. I am not a make up person because I struggle just to put foundation on. As I’m getting older my dark circles had made me try to look for fur ways to cover them, hence I found you! I do know about lashes because is the only make up I have used all my life, I think that the best drug store mascaras are L’Oréal lash paradise and essence super affordable and give you the longest fullest lashes!
As usual, you presented yet another winning video. I appreciate the effort you put into your videos. I definitely come away educated and inspired after watching.
Thank you so much for this incredible tutorial on the basics and the product recommendations. I love that you have highlighted affordable drugstore products.
Love this video!!!! Love all your videos! I'm watching everything I can for older (I justvturned 49) matured combination skin. I'm just beginning with makeup after not wearing since 2015. I am starting over and relearning and appreciate all your videos. I am having so much fun! You are so great!!!
Great video presentation! The analogies used were spot on, making complex concepts easy to understand. I particularly appreciated the visual summaries at the end of each category. Well done, A++.
I’ve been looking for a video like this for about three years! I was always kind of a tomboy growing up and I have skin sensory issues, so I never started experimenting with makeup until in my late 20s when I matured and really “stepped into myself” / femininity. It’s so overwhelming to know where to start with makes up and I always wished someone would just give me a simple, direct “guide” that wasn’t hundreds of dollars. Instead I just learned basic skincare first and now stick with mascara and blush most days. But this is awesome I’m excited to try more 😊 thank you so much ❤
I've been following you for a long time and I must say this is my very favorite video! I'm not a beginner but sometimes I just need to remember the basics.. Would love to see this format for intermediate and advanced users. Also for mature ladies. thank you!
This was just what I needed, Thank you! I'm not a beginner but I'm older and wanted a minimal makeup kit for everyday wear and this was perfect 🙌 I buy so many products thinking I need them and I just end up overwhelming myself 😖 Time to declutter and start fresh! Thank you!!!!!❤
Im older & wore light makeup when younger.Never got into makeup...till now! I didnt even know that you put foundation on then concealer! Im learning so much hear, cnt wait to go to the store & grab some of these products.I wanted to add, when i put foundation on it like idk how to explain it but you see it! Almost like instead of coving my bad face skin it brings it out.
Wonderful video, there are many who will appreciate this especially during these times where things have become unaffordable for so many, particularly young people who also may not have the knowledge to know what may work best for them and in this way save themselves some money by watching your video and picking up the right products the first time they purchase. Thanks Gabi x 💐
L'oreal just does it right. They have long been my favorite drugstore (even over some high-end brands) brand. They have solid products. I also am in love with the Nyx powder that you mentioned. It's so good.
Thank you so much. What a great tutorial. Just what I need. Have you ever done something that talks about picking colors? I struggle with foundation, concealer and lips.
Hi Gabi , great video, really helpful even though I am not a beginner to makeup, I found your knowledge on these products helpful especially for us mature, oily skin women. Love Katherine xoxo
Dear Gabi, your recommendations are spot on from the start! I have oily skin and my go-to everyday foundation is L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear. All other recommendations are fantastic, only some of these brands are (sadly) not available in my country. Thanks for a great video!
GABI, i love this video! So clear, not confusing or fussy. Excellent analogy with the pantihose. Also, what colour is the E.l.f putty blush that you used please? Thank you
This video is exactly what I needed to see, thank you! You explain everything really well and give great advice. I can’t afford the high end brands and this is so helpful for recommendations for drug store makeup.😊
🙋🏻♀️ I bought the L’Oréal Pro Glo Foundation bc of a previous video of yours recommending it. Used a sponge to apply. It is SO GOOD! Thank you! This is a great video too. I look forward to trying a couple new things. 🦋
Thanks, Gabby! Awesome video. Could we have a suggestion for a drugstore loose powder that is available in Canada, please? Also, what about application? Would love a video regarding brushes and sponges and how to apply your makeup for beginners as well ❤ Thank you!
You are the best makeup artist ever ! You explain and go over everything! And show affordable products..! My problem is getting the right coverage for my face... I'm a brown skin girl .. and omg I love elf and nynx and the falsies mascara.. my picture will show up in my profile here,I'm not sure if I'm wearing makeup in my picture.. but I was wondering if you could tell me just by looking at my picture if you know what color I am for coverage... Thank you so much for everything! ❤️
This is an excellent video! It’s really helpful for someone who is new to makeup and needs a 101. The analogy of the pantyhose is perfect. I also appreciate that you focused on affordable products. Excellent job!
The Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder is also fantastic, like 8 bucks CDN. I'm not new to makeup, but I've always wondered what the difference between pressed and loose powder is. Is pressed just more convenient?
¡Hola qué tal! Te sigo en inglés poniendo mucha atención para tratar de entender todo...¡hoy te escuché en español! ¡muchas gracias! Me gustan mucho tus videos, gracias por compartir tanto. Saludos desde Zacatecas, México. ❤
Thank you for this! I will be buying the elf foundation for sure. It's just always so difficult to find your shade when they all look so similar. Can you share where your dress/blouse is from? It looks lovely on you.

Love the pantyhose analogy and the charts! Best ever explanation. I am not a beginner and still found this video interesting! It is amazing for light to medium coverage and it is so easy to use. It truly is super blendable! The good news is L’Oréal has a huge range of formulas. Something for everyone!
Yes, I loved that pantyhose analogy, totally made sense and helps me to decide what coverage I want.
Just bought Loreal true match super bendable. I LOVE it! More than infallible but they're different. So many good products.

Thanks for sharing!! I hope you have fun finding your new routine.
The NYX Sweet Cheeks in Nude Tude is one of my favorite blushes in any price range. LOVE ❤
Also for mature ladies. thank you!
This is a great suggestion! Thanks.
The comparison of tights with foundation is such a good one!
This was just what I needed, Thank you!
I'm not a beginner but I'm older and wanted a minimal makeup kit for everyday wear and this was perfect 🙌 I buy so many products thinking I need them and I just end up overwhelming myself 😖 Time to declutter and start fresh! Thank you!!!!!❤
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!!! 1 question: What about primer for someone like me who doesn't need foundation?
Hi Gabi, would you be able to list the products you used on your look today please? X
Thank you, Gabi! So much great advice and detailed product info. Ah-mazing!!!! ❤
Gracias y mil gracias, un vídeo estupendo diría perfecto por la información clara y sencilla, un saludo desde Colombia.
Gabi what a great video! Thank you so much for helping a mature woman like me feel more confident.
I'm here to help! Thanks for watching.
L'oreal just does it right. They have long been my favorite drugstore (even over some high-end brands) brand. They have solid products. I also am in love with the Nyx powder that you mentioned. It's so good.
I totally agree!
Great video love how it is so organized and easy to follow. Great products too.
I'm glad it was helpful for you!
I ran out to Ulta and got the Loreal Fresh Wear foundation for oily skin. and the Nyx eye shadow palette. I love them! Thank you so much!
I'm so glad you found some products you love!
Wow! Such a detailed, thorough how-to recommends vid! And all drugstore. Thank you!
I’m so happy I found you.

Do you have a makeup brush for beginners video?
Here's a video I made about which brushes to use where: th-cam.com/video/DwM8M1spYPg/w-d-xo.html
Dear Gabi, your recommendations are spot on from the start! I have oily skin and my go-to everyday foundation is L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear. All other recommendations are fantastic, only some of these brands are (sadly) not available in my country. Thanks for a great video!
I'm glad it was helpful for you. Thanks for watching!
Great information, I am going to forward this to my sister who could use help in her makeup routine. Thank you!
Would love a video regarding brushes and sponges and how to apply your makeup for beginners as well ❤
Thank you!
Thanks for all the tips, Gabi!! I’m not a beginner but I’m always up for affordable choices!
L’Oréal Voluminous is one of the best mascaras at any price point! Sooo good!
I'm not a beginner but I'm no expert either! This is wonderful. I'm about ready to update my products too!

I’m a starting over!❤😂
LOL! Don't start over! Just add a few things here and there to top it up if you need to.
@@GlamGirlGabiHi Gabi , Ok , I love you and your videos!
unless she didn't have good products maybe. Thank you so much Gabi!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for this affordable and very helpful video 😍 definitely have to try this collection!
Tysm for all the guidance in make up… it really helps to a beginner like me… i love how you explained everything ❤😍
The Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder is also fantastic, like 8 bucks CDN.
I'm not new to makeup, but I've always wondered what the difference between pressed and loose powder is. Is pressed just more convenient?
She looks stunning, what a pleasure to watch the wonderful tweaks you made!!!!
She was beautiful to begin with AND was stunning at the end!! 😊
Thank you for this! Love the summary at the end of every category! I will go to my Ulta and just get everything! Just so they match me on the color.
¡Hola qué tal! Te sigo en inglés poniendo mucha atención para tratar de entender todo...¡hoy te escuché en español! ¡muchas gracias!
Me gustan mucho tus videos, gracias por compartir tanto. Saludos desde Zacatecas, México. ❤
Hi Gabi, love your channel and your honest reviews. FYI...Wet N Wild is available at Rexall drugstores in Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this! I will be buying the elf foundation for sure. It's just always so difficult to find your shade when they all look so similar. Can you share where your dress/blouse is from? It looks lovely on you.
Would love for you too please please cover somebody’s under eye puffy bag.something I have been fighting with for years.
