Triton being the kid of a god and goddess would also be a god, unlike Percy who was the kid of a god and a mortal woman so he was just a demigod(who got offered immortality) Edit: I’m pretty sure in PJO it’s also said that the gods don’t grant immortality that often and that Heracles is one of the few but he didn’t become a prince of the sky, while Triton is the prince of the ocean (and the king of the ocean during little mermaid) also no Dionysus was not a regular demigod who got granted immortality, he was basically a god but just needed to be accepted by the people in Greece which is why he traveled around bringing wine with him as he went and caused chaos to those who didn’t believe he was a god

Based on the illustration in the book and the lush vegetation I don't think it's Aladdin. Though even if it were, she talks about it like a fiction book, so it would actually suggest the two universes aren't the same, but rather he was a character in a story. Now, it could be that he wrote the story well after the events of Aladdin and the story made it's way to France where Belle found it.

The Beast also turns up in the tower of figurines that Jasmine's father was stacking in his palace, in the scene where you're introduced to him... JUST a thought. It could very well be that they're part of an interesting multi-verse where they're stories in each others' universe, and Aladdin wished the Genie would make that happen from his end in order to meet Hercules in the TV show Hercules... that's how he met him.
I always thought the book that Belle reads was her own story. The "far off places" thing can be solved by the phrase "Once upon a time, a long time ago in a land far, far away..." that appears in every fairytale storybook. On another note, if Aladdin and Hercules are in the same universe as Beauty and the Beast, then they're in the same universe as Tarzan, Tangled, and Frozen. That connects a lot of Disney movies. Albeit, not as many as Pixar.

I saw on video suggesting that the book Belle was talking about was beauty and the beast. There are swordfights. Since Belle is new to the town that the movie took place in, it would seem far off to her. Magical spells, well, the spell of the prince turning into a monster. The most important thing is that Belle does not find her love for the beast until later in the movie, who is actually a prince, in disguise.
I actually think that Belle's favorite story was "The Sleeping Beauty". I mean if you think about it, she was in a farther place than France, there was a sword-fight between the prince and Maleficent, and she didn't find out that Philip was a prince for a while. Also, if you mange to see the illustration in the book (before the sheep ate the edge of a page) it looks as if it is Aurora and Philip...
There's a scene in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, where both Belle and Carpet make a cameo. Theory is that because of the turmoil in Paris, Belle's father moved them to a small town, which is why Belle doesn't fit in (being new) and why she finds it so boring, after having been in exciting Paris.
I heard the description of the book was Disney's way of foreshadowing the rest of the movie. Think about it: daring sword fights? Beast vs Gaston. Magic spells? The rose. A prince in disguise? The beast. The Prince Charming that she doesn't find out it's truly Prince Charming until chapter 3? Again, the beast. Belle doesn't find out who he truly is until later on in the movie

It wasn't meaning that she met him knowing he was a prince and finding out he wasn't, it is meaning she met him, NOT knowing that he was a prince and finding out AFTER, the exact opposite of Aladdin. I'm pretty sure the story Belle was ready was reffering to Sleeping Beauty
I didn't watch the other video I just came to this one and That part with Aladdin and Hercules blow my damn mind. At fist is like "I don't know maybe???" But than he showed that picture of them together and than I was like "this ain't no theory, this true." Now I can't watch either movie again without thinking of this theory.
Jon Solo the super carlin brothers did a theory about the book belle was reading and while they admitted that it could be aladdin but determined that it was most likely her own story based on hints and evidence in beauty and the beast. it was a great theory and i highly recommend it.
It kinda sounds like Sleeping Beauty to me too. Prince Philip is in a daring sword fight with maleficent and maleficent, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather cast magic spells and when Aurora meets prince Philip in the forest he is disguised as a peasant and she later finds out that he is a prince. This is for the Disney version of Aladdin btw... What if Genie didn't really have rules, and it was just his morals because we know he has morals. For example Rule number three: I can't bring people back from the dead. IT'S NOT A PRETTY PICTURE, I DON'T LIKE DOING IT! Does that mean he did it before? He probably did and it ended badly, and the only reason he calls them rules is because if he said "these are the 3 wishes I don't like to grant" some people wouldn't care and would still make the wish that he would be forced to grant, but if since he said "they are rules" people wouldn't even bother making the wish. Another example, What if he did grant a wish of making someone fall in love with someone else and it ruined an entire family or even caused an entire war. What if genie caused the battle of Troy. What if Paris made a wish to Genie that Helen of Sparta would love him, and that's how Paris "stole" Helen because as I remember it Helen had the freedom to choose her husband why didn't she just choose Paris from the beginning. (this is just an example its the only thing I could think of at the time, and I really don't know the story that well) Also what if he just feels bad when people die so he doesn't like to grant the wish to kill people. If you agree could you possibly help me elaborate because I personally suck at anything that has to do with communication, and there might be things i missed Edit: So after watching this video I came up with a theory to why Genie can only grant 3 wishes. What if Genie isn't immortal, and he has a certain amount of wishes he can grant before he dies, and he wants to satisfy as many people using his given amount of wishes, so he tells people that the limit is 3. Another possibility is he knows that if you tell a human that they have unlimited wishes they will end up power hungry and be consumed by their greed. So to avoid this he just sets the limit to 3. Also what if genie can grant his own wishes, in Aladdin you see him shape shift and do this using his powers even though he is not instructed to (even before Aladdin freed him from the lamp). What if he has the ability to do what ever he wants with his powers when he is out of the lamp as long as it doesn't defy his masters wishes, So technically if he wanted to he could create rules and regulations for himself as long as the master didn't tell him not to.
Also if you watched both the Aladdin and the Hercules animated series you will see crossover episodes where Aladdin goes to Greece and where Hercules comes to Agraba. This further supports the Aladdin Hercules connection

Hercules is connected to Tangled, Tangled is connected to Frozen, Sleeping Beauty The Little Mermaid and Snow White, Frozen is connected to The Little Mermaid and Tarzan, Tarzan is connected to Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid is connected to Peter Pan and Hercules and there are plenty more but I don't have the energy to search for them right now. Here is a twist. At the beginning of hunchback of Notre Dame. There is a span on the city of Paris and you see Belle reading by the fountain. Therefore, Aladin, Belle, Hunchback, and Hercules are all in the same universe.
I think conecting Beauty and The Beast to Alladin and Hercules is a stretch, but just Alladin and Hercules being connected is canon... Sort of. The TV shows and direct to DVD sequels aren't considered part of the Disney canon, but you could argue they are part of a seperate canon. At least in Alladin's case the show and sequels take place in the same universe; you can see a character (I forgot her name but she's the one with sand based magic) from the Alladin TV show at his wedding at the end of the third movie, which places the events of the show between the two sequels.
A purple shooting star has the chemical composition of Calcium, thus making it purple. So while it's true that Hercules and Aladdin had a crossover episode that doesn't mean he was the shooting star. Shooting stars can be purple, that's science.
First off, Aladdin isn't a prince because he had to wish himself to be a prince in the movie and the whole "A prince in disguise" thing means a prince disguised as something else, Aladdin was disguised as a prince, the reverse of that. Besides that, the illustrations look nothing like Aladdin, even two characters looking white and it didn't seem like it took place in a desert and as you said, the description could be any fairy tail so this is very flimsy. For Aladdin and Hercules though, they had a crossover where Jafar is in the River Styx and teams up with Hades so that right there is conformation that they coexist. We then also have the fact that King Triton, father of Ariel is the son of Poseidon so that would make Hercules and Ariel related to some extent which puts Little Mermaid on the list and we also have that bit where Genie grabs the crab when he is looking through a book so there is another connection. Pinocchio could be a story since Genie is aware of the whole "lying making your nose grow" thing, of course he is knowledgable on a lot of things so maybe not. Mulan could easily be in the same universe though I don't think there is any crossover or connection. For other Disney things we have Repunzel and Fin showing up in Frozen so there is a connection there. Also in the Lillo and Stitch series they had a crossover with Kim Possible and the Proud Family so all three of those coexist and we have the Pixar theory to show how all the Pixar movies connect and we at least know that the Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story and Monsters Inc coexist. So there are a few things we know coexist but not every Disney thing coexists together unless you take Kingdom Hearts or The House of Mouse cartoon into account.
Also in cinderella we see some books the king owns about greek mythology, aka hercules. We see the teapots from beauty and the beast in tarzan so they pulls in hercules, beauty and the beast, alladin, cinderella, and tarzan. Tarzan has been thearized to be related to ana and elsa, so that pulls in frozen, and technically hercules is cousins to triton (Poseidon, father of triton, is zeuses brother) pulling little mermaid in.

I think Ariel should be also in there because Hercules is related to her because Zeus and Hades have a brother named Poseidon (the god of the sea) and at least in greek mythology Poseidon's son is Triton (Ariel's father) which will make sense because Triton is having his dad's powers.

The way I see it at the moment there is several disney vverses including pixar verse. Tarzan isn't in same verse as Beauty and the beast in princess universe. There are disney princess in one universe and I have been tryng to figure out with in princess universe how to connect Mulan and Jasmine. Tarzan is just in plain disney verse with things like rescuers and hunch bacj of notredame. I refuse to do pochantas forreasons. First I have to figure out disney princess verse connections tthat make sense then will go onto diffrent disney verses.pixar has seperate verse to.

Hercules is in the same time as Aladdin and Belle reads about both of them in the future. Belle then hands down her possessions to Jane who marries Tarzan who of course is Rapunzel's cousin and Elsa and Ana's brother. I think it's Belle's story. And I think a better tie in for Aladdin and Hercules would be when Aladdin flies through the "I won't say I'm in love" area and plucks Jasmine av apple from the same tree that Hercules grabbed a flower from for Meg.
The book that belle is reading could be any story. Last Friday, I watched Aladdin and while Jasmine and Aladdin are singing a whole new world, while on a magic carpet ride traveling through different places. I did notice that they were in Greece where Hercules takes place. It makes sense that Aladdin and Hercules are in the same universe.
I think those theories are a bit thin to be honest, they could've used more ideas to support them. With the Hercules one, I think it could be more likely that the purplish-blue shooting star was actually Genie shooting off in joy after finally being freed. Maybe.
Genie's live forever, or at least a hell of a long time. Surely if the genie wanted to, he could have sold the book he wrote to the bookstore owner. The genie could have performed the story to an audience at some point and it could have been written down with his act as the prologue and epilogue
yeah but isn't there a part during the same song when she's talking to the baker (I think...) and she tells him "...it's about a bean stalk and an ogre..." to which he replies something like "That's nice! Marie the baguettes, hurry up!" I think the book might just be a generic fairytale story, or stories.
I think the picture doesn't match Aladdin's timeline. Maybe... Belle could be reading her story before it actually happens. A prince in disguise? The beast! Magic spells? Prince becomes beast and servants become magical objects. Sword fights? Maybe Gaston and the beast had swordfights while battling on the roof. It's just me...

On another note, if Aladdin and Hercules are in the same universe as Beauty and the Beast, then they're in the same universe as Tarzan, Tangled, and Frozen. That connects a lot of Disney movies. Albeit, not as many as Pixar.

Belle is related to Jane from Tarzan (theory about how they look similar and Jane has a Mrs Potts-esque tea set)
Tarzan is Anna and Elsa's brother and it's in the same universe as The Little Mermaid (theory that A&E's parent's shipwreck is the one Ariel finds and they wash up on the beach, have a baby Tarzan then die)
And Rapunzel is Anna and Elsa's cousin (you can see her and Eugene during the 'For the First Time in Forever' sequence).

I saw on video suggesting that the book Belle was talking about was beauty and the beast. There are swordfights. Since Belle is new to the town that the movie took place in, it would seem far off to her. Magical spells, well, the spell of the prince turning into a monster. The most important thing is that Belle does not find her love for the beast until later in the movie, who is actually a prince, in disguise.

I mean if you think about it, she was in a farther place than France, there was a sword-fight between the prince and Maleficent, and she didn't find out that Philip was a prince for a while. Also, if you mange to see the illustration in the book (before the sheep ate the edge of a page) it looks as if it is Aurora and Philip...

There's a scene in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, where both Belle and Carpet make a cameo. Theory is that because of the turmoil in Paris, Belle's father moved them to a small town, which is why Belle doesn't fit in (being new) and why she finds it so boring, after having been in exciting Paris.
I heard the description of the book was Disney's way of foreshadowing the rest of the movie. Think about it: daring sword fights? Beast vs Gaston. Magic spells? The rose. A prince in disguise? The beast. The Prince Charming that she doesn't find out it's truly Prince Charming until chapter 3? Again, the beast. Belle doesn't find out who he truly is until later on in the movie
I always thought that Belle's favorite book was foreshadowing the events of her own fairy tale. Personally I like my idea better and to me it makes more sense. Also, as a writer myself, it would just be better for the story with the book being the key to the foreshadowing future of the beast being the prince in disguise.

Belle said in the story that "Here is where she meets prince charming, but doesn't know that it is HIM till chapter three." It wasn't meaning that she met him knowing he was a prince and finding out he wasn't, it is meaning she met him, NOT knowing that he was a prince and finding out AFTER, the exact opposite of Aladdin. I'm pretty sure the story Belle was ready was reffering to Sleeping Beauty

I didn't watch the other video I just came to this one and That part with Aladdin and Hercules blow my damn mind. At fist is like "I don't know maybe???" But than he showed that picture of them together and than I was like "this ain't no theory, this true." Now I can't watch either movie again without thinking of this theory.
Jon Solo the super carlin brothers did a theory about the book belle was reading and while they admitted that it could be aladdin but determined that it was most likely her own story based on hints and evidence in beauty and the beast. it was a great theory and i highly recommend it.

It kinda sounds like Sleeping Beauty to me too. Prince Philip is in a daring sword fight with maleficent and maleficent, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather cast magic spells and when Aurora meets prince Philip in the forest he is disguised as a peasant and she later finds out that he is a prince. But I like the Aladdin theory also.
Theory:Hercules is also connected to the little mermaid because his dad is zues and Poseidon is zues’ brother and triton is Poseidon’s son which means that Ariel is second cousins to Hercules

What if Genie didn't really have rules, and it was just his morals because we know he has morals.
For example Rule number three: I can't bring people back from the dead. IT'S NOT A PRETTY PICTURE, I DON'T LIKE DOING IT! Does that mean he did it before? He probably did and it ended badly, and the only reason he calls them rules is because if he said "these are the 3 wishes I don't like to grant" some people wouldn't care and would still make the wish that he would be forced to grant, but if since he said "they are rules" people wouldn't even bother making the wish.
Another example, What if he did grant a wish of making someone fall in love with someone else and it ruined an entire family or even caused an entire war. What if genie caused the battle of Troy. What if Paris made a wish to Genie that Helen of Sparta would love him, and that's how Paris "stole" Helen because as I remember it Helen had the freedom to choose her husband why didn't she just choose Paris from the beginning. (this is just an example its the only thing I could think of at the time, and I really don't know the story that well)
Also what if he just feels bad when people die so he doesn't like to grant the wish to kill people.

Edit: So after watching this video I came up with a theory to why Genie can only grant 3 wishes. What if Genie isn't immortal, and he has a certain amount of wishes he can grant before he dies, and he wants to satisfy as many people using his given amount of wishes, so he tells people that the limit is 3.
Another possibility is he knows that if you tell a human that they have unlimited wishes they will end up power hungry and be consumed by their greed. So to avoid this he just sets the limit to 3.
Also what if genie can grant his own wishes, in Aladdin you see him shape shift and do this using his powers even though he is not instructed to (even before Aladdin freed him from the lamp). What if he has the ability to do what ever he wants with his powers when he is out of the lamp as long as it doesn't defy his masters wishes, So technically if he wanted to he could create rules and regulations for himself as long as the master didn't tell him not to.

I always thought that Belle explaining events of the book was just alluding events of the movie itself. Beast being Prince in disguise and so on...
Also if you watched both the Aladdin and the Hercules animated series you will see crossover episodes where Aladdin goes to Greece and where Hercules comes to Agraba. This further supports the Aladdin Hercules connection

Also The Little Mermaid. King Triton is a figure in Greek mythology. King Triton is Poseidon's son, which makes Ariel and Hercules cousins. They even have family resemblance as they both have red hair.
I always thought the book Bella read was actually her story. She meets the Beast, a prince in disguise but doesn't know that it's him till she breaks into the West Wing. There is a magic spell all over the castle as well. There is a sword fight as well when the castle is being stormed.
Hercules is connected to Tangled, Tangled is connected to Frozen, Sleeping Beauty The Little Mermaid and Snow White, Frozen is connected to The Little Mermaid and Tarzan, Tarzan is connected to Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid is connected to Peter Pan and Hercules and there are plenty more but I don't have the energy to search for them right now. If you have any questions about this just ask them, I know most of this is pretty confusing...

Here is a twist. At the beginning of hunchback of Notre Dame. There is a span on the city of Paris and you see Belle reading by the fountain. Therefore, Aladin, Belle, Hunchback, and Hercules are all in the same universe.

I think conecting Beauty and The Beast to Alladin and Hercules is a stretch, but just Alladin and Hercules being connected is canon... Sort of. The TV shows and direct to DVD sequels aren't considered part of the Disney canon, but you could argue they are part of a seperate canon. At least in Alladin's case the show and sequels take place in the same universe; you can see a character (I forgot her name but she's the one with sand based magic) from the Alladin TV show at his wedding at the end of the third movie, which places the events of the show between the two sequels.
A purple shooting star has the chemical composition of Calcium, thus making it purple. So while it's true that Hercules and Aladdin had a crossover episode that doesn't mean he was the shooting star. Shooting stars can be purple, that's science.

First off, Aladdin isn't a prince because he had to wish himself to be a prince in the movie and the whole "A prince in disguise" thing means a prince disguised as something else, Aladdin was disguised as a prince, the reverse of that. Besides that, the illustrations look nothing like Aladdin, even two characters looking white and it didn't seem like it took place in a desert and as you said, the description could be any fairy tail so this is very flimsy.
For Aladdin and Hercules though, they had a crossover where Jafar is in the River Styx and teams up with Hades so that right there is conformation that they coexist. We then also have the fact that King Triton, father of Ariel is the son of Poseidon so that would make Hercules and Ariel related to some extent which puts Little Mermaid on the list and we also have that bit where Genie grabs the crab when he is looking through a book so there is another connection. Pinocchio could be a story since Genie is aware of the whole "lying making your nose grow" thing, of course he is knowledgable on a lot of things so maybe not. Mulan could easily be in the same universe though I don't think there is any crossover or connection.
For other Disney things we have Repunzel and Fin showing up in Frozen so there is a connection there. Also in the Lillo and Stitch series they had a crossover with Kim Possible and the Proud Family so all three of those coexist and we have the Pixar theory to show how all the Pixar movies connect and we at least know that the Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story and Monsters Inc coexist.
So there are a few things we know coexist but not every Disney thing coexists together unless you take Kingdom Hearts or The House of Mouse cartoon into account.
Also in cinderella we see some books the king owns about greek mythology, aka hercules. We see the teapots from beauty and the beast in tarzan so they pulls in hercules, beauty and the beast, alladin, cinderella, and tarzan. Tarzan has been thearized to be related to ana and elsa, so that pulls in frozen, and technically hercules is cousins to triton (Poseidon, father of triton, is zeuses brother) pulling little mermaid in.
Hercules and Ariel are also cousins, thus connecting the little mermaid universe aswell. In Hercules there’s also a rug of Scar.

I think Ariel should be also in there because Hercules is related to her because Zeus and Hades have a brother named Poseidon (the god of the sea) and at least in greek mythology Poseidon's son is Triton (Ariel's father) which will make sense because Triton is having his dad's powers.

The way I see it at the moment there is several disney vverses including pixar verse. Tarzan isn't in same verse as Beauty and the beast in princess universe. There are disney princess in one universe and I have been tryng to figure out with in princess universe how to connect Mulan and Jasmine. Tarzan is just in plain disney verse with things like rescuers and hunch bacj of notredame. I refuse to do pochantas forreasons. First I have to figure out disney princess verse connections tthat make sense then will go onto diffrent disney verses.pixar has seperate verse to.

I thought i saw an interview or something where he states that he was just ab-libbing into the microphone for fun and the ppl liked it so much, they created the merchant to toss those lines in there. also just for a fun fact, they had to cut out like half of what the genie talked about because of William's habit of cussing and inappropriate jokes. also i do believe that belle is talking about the book Alladin....mostely because i'm pretty sure one movie came directly after the other. coincidence? possibly but i find unlikely

Hercules is in the same time as Aladdin and Belle reads about both of them in the future. I think it's Belle's story. And I think a better tie in for Aladdin and Hercules would be when Aladdin flies through the "I won't say I'm in love" area and plucks Jasmine av apple from the same tree that Hercules grabbed a flower from for Meg.
The book that belle is reading could be any story. Last Friday, I watched Aladdin and while Jasmine and Aladdin are singing a whole new world, while on a magic carpet ride traveling through different places. I did notice that they were in Greece where Hercules takes place. It makes sense that Aladdin and Hercules are in the same universe.

I think those theories are a bit thin to be honest, they could've used more ideas to support them. With the Hercules one, I think it could be more likely that the purplish-blue shooting star was actually Genie shooting off in joy after finally being freed. Maybe.
The book is a mashup - the illustration is fairy talish, while the page is from a french romance novel "Le Songe d’une femme"
Genie's live forever, or at least a hell of a long time. Surely if the genie wanted to, he could have sold the book he wrote to the bookstore owner. The genie could have performed the story to an audience at some point and it could have been written down with his act as the prologue and epilogue
yeah but isn't there a part during the same song when she's talking to the baker (I think...) and she tells him "...it's about a bean stalk and an ogre..." to which he replies something like "That's nice! Marie the baguettes, hurry up!" I think the book might just be a generic fairytale story, or stories.
