Is the DSO153 sufficient for analyzing 12v DC relays that triggers for approx. 10ms to 120ms? I'm thinking between the DSO153 and DSO1511G (although it costs almost twice as much as the DSO153). Maybe additionally analyzing n-channel MOSFET-s to confirm on time (arduino controlled). I don't own any oscilloscope yet.

That’s tough to answer…I do like the quicker screen refresh rate on the 152. But the X axis trigger and the signal generator on the 153 is also nice. The 152 is only like…20 Bucks. You really can’t go wrong with either. 🍻 PS: although I haven’t re-scoped an injector with 153 I highly doubt the issue is resolved, as the update file size was tiny.

though not in the specs, we can deduce that both those scopes have a small 1000 point buffer DSO-153 with its 5M sample rate uses the entire buffer on that 200µs wide screen...then a lag as buffer refreshes for next screen DSO-152 with its 2.5M sample rate gets 2 screens out of that buffer...no lag between screen 1 and 2 ... then buffer has to refresh I think that's what's going on... hope all is well out your way, Ian ... we're getting heat wave up here...rare for us, so I'm soaking it all in:)

Yeah should be fine. 10ms is a lifetime in electronics. @ 40 bucks you can’t go far wrong 😁 Thx for watching 🍻

I just saw they have 2 channels scope and and multimeter touch screen, any thoughts on that one?

Kinda like up grading to larger injectors and not up grading the fuel system for the added flow (fuel pump)
Perhaps a crisper signal was the goal on the newer model, I'd rather have a bigger buffer than a multi signal generator.
5M * 200µs = 1000 pts
