Fun little visual gags: At the beginning, when he folds each shirt, he picks up a matching color from the lyrics. (“Decorations of red”, picks up a red shirt). Also when Kathy walks in, the color of his laundry basket changes from blue to white to signify that it’s not a Blue Christmas anymore. Geoff does have a natural accent, but he did exaggerate it a bit for the song. And he did write the entire texting section himself. It’s original text 🙂
I enjoyed your reaction- thanks! Although the Elvis version of "Blue Christmas" is the favorite and best known cover, the song was originally done by Country artist, Doye O'Dell. I always found this to be a depressing Christmas song (even though I like Elvis) that I never cared for much so I enjoyed Geoff's dry but unexpected sense of humor in his version of this song (Yes, Geoff wrote that bridge in the middle to spoof the narration bridges and common stereotypes about that era's country music- loss of truck, dog, woman, etc...). I agree with the other "Voice Players" in the comments that Geoff's recent release of "Carol Of The Bells" is stunning and epic- must see! His new "Carol Of The Bells" has only been on You Tube for two weeks and it already has 900 thousand views! You will hear bass like you have never ever heard in that one (trust me)!😄
Elvis did a spoken interlude in Are You Lonesome Tonight, but I never heard one in this one. And I'm very old and a huge Elvis fan, so I'm probably right. Loved watching you guys laugh your heads off!!
Geoff humour - and of course his rich, deep voice... you absolutely have to do "Carol of the Bells". PS: Folding laundry is not his strong point, but he is an amazing chef so Kathy is happy to do laundry duty instead 😉 🌹🕊
I love you guys reacting to Geoff and Voiceplay, you're always so funny 😅👏🏻👍🏻 Hope you will react to Geoff's new Christmas cover too 🙏🏼 It's like a dragon choir and an archangel singing Christmas carols... so epic it seems like the soundtrack to Lord of the Rings movie ❤ Thanks for your reaction 🫶🏻
Thank you guys for another great reaction to Geoff. Please do a reaction video to Geoff's newest Christmas solo cover of Carol Of The Bells. He goes extra deep. He brought the Dragons out for this one. He proves that even Dragons celebrate Christmas.
I never cared for the original mostly because of the background singing, but adding all the country tropes and cliches in text messages made it much better for me. Love it.
Geoff's sense of humor is perfect. Kathy comes in at the end to save him from a Blue Christmas. ❤

The interlude had the 3 country music tropes: She took my truck/dog/best friend. Geoff wrote that to add his humor to it.

I love Geoff's version, the humor puts it over Elvis's song anytime. Great reaction!

speaking of merch ..... the last shirt he folds before the texting bit is from his own merch shop. 🙃

This one took TH-cam by storm a little bit last year. Not as much as his Carol of The Bells this year though. Don't miss it! 💚❤
