I usually put the ball bearing before turning the wheel on the lathe to be sure the bearing is centered, but as i can see you did it centered as well! Very good job
Cant find suitable wheels for a ball launcher project so I'll make my own doing this. Who would have thought coupling a wheel to a small motor would be so frustrating.
What are your long term experience of using MDF as a drive wheel? I think about going with a wooden drive wheel too but I wonder if multiplex would be more suitable and longer lasting.
It is! I used wooden wheels before and it was just a pain in the ... The mdf wheels work like a charm, I‘ve been using them for many many hours now and they’re still perfect. Only downside is that it isn’t water resistant, in case you’re doing wet grinding.
Thanks for your feedback. That’s true, if it comes to loose sleeves and gloves. But tight jackets like woodturners jackets and strait gloves are often recommended
Yes. I was wondering , why the gloves. Be aware ladies, if they catch in the wheel on a powerful motor you'll snap your arm off and it will fly over to the next door neighbour.

I thought about doing that as well, but because I hollowed out the inside on the lathe, the inner wheels were perfectly centred
Excellent experience well done 👍
Thank you!
Really great. Quite funny, just because I recently started thinking about building my own one😄👌🏼👍🏼
Nice work bro 👍

Круто!
Not that I want to be that guy. But long sleves and gloves are a nono when it comes to lathes.
Thanks for your feedback.

Trust me. I found out the hard way that even tight gloves will get you entangled.
