Bravo PG and Mark, huge shout out to all of the puppeteers and a collective thank you from the FOTE!! The moves were spot on - and those suits, props, and bonza, that song! Thank you for your dedication and love. The spirit of the Enz remains strong! x
Wow! You two have really surpassed yourselves this time Peter and Mark, with some help from your Frenz! The amount of effort and creative thought that has gone into this whole project is unbelievable! Thank you so much for providing such unique entertainment for us Frenz of the Enz! I totally loved it! The Tim and Neil puppets even moved like Tim and Neil!
Oh my goodness-what an utterly delightful and beyond creative project! Congratulations to you Peter, Mark and your wonderful puppeteers-this was worth the wait! 🩵
Thanks Mr. Green from Austin! I'd bet there would be a solid audience for the Enz over here in Texas! Saw the Finn Brothers at Stubbs back in the 2000s and they rocked it! Thanks for keeping the Enz alive and kicking!!!
Beautiful. Sounded great. Looked great. Concerned some of the band members seem to have liver issues..? Expected to see a brick or two laying casually in the wings (but that’s just btwn us). 😅💕 Now I’m going to be humming “MUR-dah…” when I’m at the shops tomorrow!
Thanks to you and team for creating this Peter - this is great! The song is fun and you are the Master Puppeteer! The true Frenz will appreciate each caricature despite Eddie's being quite disturbing, each one is cleverly crafted. Clearly a lot of time and tide involved - well done and very appreciated 👏
MASSIVE…yet tiny. A grand nod to Weill/Brecht-ian Euro-style puppet cabaret? Peut-être? 👏🤠😸 Well done! Especially Nigel’s red Spector bass!! As a fellow bassie, and having met Nigel perambulating about, downtown on the summer streets of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada(1981/2…yes, we puffed and yabbered on all things bass-ical, ‘We’, gotta luv dat important and unmistakable instrument!!! And, Neil’s Yamaha SG!!
Absolutely love it thanks PG and Mark. Puppets work perfect lot of work gone into it. Very Rootin Tootin Luton Tapes, and I'm sure the true fans will hear the Fire Drill riffs! Hope it's streamed on services as a single. Definitely share this!
This is a song only Split Enz could do and shows there's so much more to them than the hits. Maybe the protagonist of the song is the one they won't let his girlfriend talk to. This is terrific, and congratulations to everyone involved in the making of the video.
The song reminds me of 1971/72-era Pink Floyd. They could easily have gone off on a 10-15 jam session, especially if that was Noel clanging away on the spoons 😁
I’m going to have nightmares for weeks, but I love it, haha. The band must have loved that piano/guitar riff so much because they used it for both Fire Drill and Outer Mongolia. Thank you for providing us Frenz with amazing content.
ummmmm wen they couldnt play. its got shark attack vocals but its such a bad bad song and i rave about enz every week. so um ta for crappy video. i thought they may be re grouping.........wishful
Cool stuff... Is it to be released? Anymore in the wings, Should I write letters to all my friends? I'm thinking around 78? Am I right. Frenzy, or Luton
The video was a low budget labour of love. And done by Peter Green who for several decades was the PR man for Split Enz, Finn Brothers, Crowded House and solo Neil and Tim. He also ran the Frenz Of The Enz fanclub. The band obviously love it cos Tim, Neil and Eddie have all shared it. It's from 79 so two years after Phil left. The Judd era was the last breath of real Enz 😂😂😂😂? Good luck getting people to agree with that cos it's rot.

All good re: badge my pleasure. 1979 a rather amazing year for the band especially around live. In some ways the abundance of new material meant songs like Murder existed in the live set for a blink of an eye. I heard Murder on the ABC yesterday sounded so unique. Anyway thanks for watching the clip.
This band saved my life when I was a teen back in the 70s

Great song. I thought I knew all their songs, but never heard this one. I saw Split Enz in a club called Erics in Liverpool 1978. Just Brilliant.
Yes Eric's,they played that place a few times, glad you enjoyed the clip.
Love it! Eddie’s keys really stand out.
So so brilliant hah!
Thankyou glad you enjoyed it.
Absolutely worth the wait! Bravo, Peter and Mark!
Thankyou-phew! Glad it was fun.
Absolutely BRILLIANT!!! The song and ceaftsmanship. FULL MARKS :)
Thanks Dave glad you enjoyed it.
Well that was a bit of fun! Captures the bizarreness of the Enz era perfectly!

Crack up . Eddies eyes look worrisome. Noel looks like he needs to loosen up a little LoL But I'm sure he would approve. Luv it ...
The song reminds me of 1971/72-era Pink Floyd. They could easily have gone off on a 10-15 jam session, especially if that was Noel clanging away on the spoons 😁
Sadly you can't see puppet Noel's spoons he is holding them...stolen from Barbie and spray painted silver.
Love this band so much split enz one of the worlds greatest bands BIG JOCK KNEW 😊
Love it. Tim sounds marvelous
LOVE it! Well done Peter and Mark and everyone involved! Rikki M x
I feel so uneasy, i'll be seeing the "puppet" Enz in my sleep for weeks, and I LOVE IT! 👏👏👏👏👏
Love Neil’s hair and the way he is dancing is perfect.
Thanks boys x
Yes that Neil Finn circa 1977 fresh in the band..the brotherly shove onstage always fun from those Finn's.
Split Enz are still my all time favourite band. First saw them on countdown in 1976 or 77
Those early countdown performances were great, some of the very early ones are on this TH-cam page, enjoy.
Love the hair detail on puppet Neil 😍
1977 era Neil Finn...fun to create.
Nailed it with the unilateral myopia! NEW music from the Enz, please!
Glad you enjoyed the clip, thanks again.
@@petergreen2534 No problem.
One of my favorite memories is seeing Split Enz in San Francisco. I believe it was the Kabuki.
😂 Sooo good. Ripper 24!!
You got Nigel's guitar style down pat. 😅

Superb.
Rageworthy
Special marks for nailing Tim.
That is just great! Well done, everyone.
So good to see the finished product. Love it. ❤ LJC no e. 😂
BRAVO‼BRAVO‼They certainly have aged but they've still got it :) Sounds great too. Brilliant that you did this 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is amazing, what a track. Perfect Split Enz. Thanks boys xx
I’m ready for an entire concert!! What song will be next from the boys, Peter Green????
A...no the Enz puppets have retired to the old puppet home..
Always a pleasure to revisit
So cute! The costumes were perfect! Loved seeing Tim and Neil rock out 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The brotherly shove just like they did in 1979. Glad you enjoyed it.
haven’t heard this tune. big Frenzy vibe; which I love!
Yeh I thought the same
Brilliant. Parts of this song would emerge as "Fire drill" great job Mark and Peter .love it.❤
Indeed plus 2 other segments in other Enz tunes.
Fantastic job Peter!! I love all the details. Such a happy-maker!
Thanks for watching glad it was fun
@@petergreen2534 SO fun! It must have been a blast to make. I love doing that kind of thing.
Thanks for the smile on my face😁🌈🤘
Brilliant. Get them back on stage and back to the UK…… please!!!!!
This is beyond awesome! Thank you so much for this!
Thankyou for supporting it.
TIM FINN is PERFECTION ❤
Even as a puppet. Lol
What a voice Tim has!
@@petergreen2534 🤣
👏Soooo mischievous but totally the ENZ all the way.. Love it🤩
That frenetic (frenzetic?) energy on stage kills me… murder I tell ye
I think tim is supposed to be holding a mic. But it looks more like a cigarette
It does..lol however it is a real microphone...hard to get a puppet size one...so used the one from my mini recorder....
Interesting. Reminds me of early ENZ 👍👍🇦🇺
ummmmm wen they couldnt play. its got shark attack vocals but its such a bad bad song and i rave about enz every week. so um ta for crappy video. i thought they may be re grouping.........wishful
Fabulous! Thanks to Peter and Mark and of course, Split Enz, from one of your many Frenz!
Really glad you enjoyed it. It certainly is doing well
Love this! All the puppets look great but Nigel is my favorite
Haha great stuff. 😂😂 I particularly loved Eddie! What do the Enz think of their imitators?
They seems to love them, the guys have been amazing around this video...
Awesome stuff guys! Love it!
Thanks Dion glad you liked it.
Absolutely excellent 👍🎶🇳🇿🎶👏👏👏
So great ;) Thank you!!
Very clever loved it👏👏👏👏🤝🤝🤝
Brilliant stuff!
Very impressive! Love it!!
Is this possibly a taster for an upcoming Enz archive release?
No...well never say no around the Enz...anything really is possible around Split Enz.
Much much love!
Those puppets look like they have been murdered
Ha. Yes the Enz are aging...thanks.Glad you enjoyed it.
Well done 🎉
this is so odd… i’m in love
Odd is good as long as we are never predictable. Thanks.
BRAVO!!!!
Tremendous!!❤

Oustanding outtake.
Wonderfully done!! But I’m not sure that Neil’s guitar is plugged in properly?
YES! This is awesome!
THIS IS AMAZING ❤
Glad the Muppets oops puppets were appreciated. Good luck with your new video in 2 weeks.
Wow!
Is Noel T-Posing? 😅
His God like pose.
😍
🎉
Thankyou.
!
This is well creepy.
Mal looks as if he's having a quick 'personal handshake' behind the kit.
But - this is really great, so thank you for this amazing effort 🙂
Which is so much superior to boring, we'll happily take creepy.
Glad you enjoyed it too.
That's not them!
You so know it is. The real Enz...puppets on tour will be next. Lol
Sheesh. That video.. 🤦🏻
The song tho, is fairly decent.. it feels like their last breath of the “real” Enz (Phil Judd era)..
