Hi Allen - Thanks for that... as you say, if you have a few guitars and change strings regularly its worth a look. Next video on Friday, features - Guess Who outside "Guitar-Guitar" Store in Edinburgh! ;-) And yes... the parcel arrived on Saturday... all will be revealed on Friday... ;-) Regards: Stu
Hi Amin - As always... many thanks! Yes its even sunny in Scotland just now and we Scots do love to see the sun... which is not very often ;-) I trust you will have a great summer Amin... are you going to be able to go on a holiday trip anywhere? best regards - Oh... by the way... I have a guitar coming into the studio today I think you might really like... I hope to have a video of it next Friday.... : Stu
I always remove the batteries and then reinstall them when using the winder. The batteries will last much longer this way "and" you don't run the risk of having a battery discharging acid (leaking). Putting a thick rubber-band on the handle to hold the batteries, while not in use and your good to go every time!
Hi Derek - Yes, I only bought one because I was changing a lot of guitar strings at once, along with guitars owned by others where I needed to put a fresh set of strings on. Certainly made life a bit easier....Next week I will be changing strings on a rather unusual guitar getting delivered on Saturday which I will do a review on... regards: Stu

Motor doesn't last long. Had mine for a few years now and the motor slows right down to nothing I've moved up to the the pro and works alot better for me
Hi Robert - Thanks for chipping in... much appreciated. Always good to hear other folks experiences. I've had the unit a while now and I don't use it that often but so far it's still working fine. Certainly if I did use a winder more frequently then it would be best to look at something built of higher quality... regards: Stu
Very practical and well thought video. These are the things that folks with multiple guitars need to know. Thanks Stu, cheers mate!

Thanks for chipping in Robert... sound advice... regards: Stu
I didn’t realise how useful a string winder is until I tried one. Manual does for me but I can appreciate the benefits of a power winder 👍
