Only a few things; hearing loss, vertigo and tinnitus. And fatigue. But no major complaints. I can walk and ride a bike. I am glad im alive. I work as a nurse in Amsterdam. Thank you for the great presentation
Thank you for sharing, I was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma at age 28. I am now 33. I'm doing good. Slight balance issues, slight head tension, and double sight. But i'm going the right way....
My son was diagnosed at 7 , had the balance issues, eye turned in, headaches, ,the csf was building up, thankful it was caught early enough, doctor said a few days more and he wouldn’t have made it, fast forward 4- 5 years later it has come back
I'm 27, I was diagnosed with medulloblatoma 2 years ago. It affected my speech to the point where I have to repeat myself 3-5 times to get what I'm saying across. I recorded myself talking, even I can't understand myself. I have to use a walker to walk, I have zero balance, my writing is sloppy, I have double vison. Everything on my right side is mess up, my right eye has worser vision, my right ear the sounds are muffled, I mean everything on the rightside. If only it was caught when I was a kid. Will I ever get better?
yes this does effect most of what we need to do daily things like take care of ourself and communicate. but you will be ok my son was diagnosed at 4 back in 2015, he is leagaly blind and def. and will need someone to help him for the rest of his life .
You probably didn't have the tumor as a kid. And you probably wouldn't be better off. Radiation causes brain damage on top of surgery. Being diagnosed as an adult allowed you to grow to full stature and mature mentally and physically without the need for medication. Unfortunately every person's experience is so different. -Mom of a pediatric survivor
Hello. My best friend was diagnosed with this couple of weeks ago. The tumour was removed and sent for biopsy. He needs to given radiotherapy and chemotherapy based on biopsy report.
I was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma Wnt in March 2021, I was 28 then.. Undergone surgery followed by Radiation and Chemo, in November 2021 my MRI showed I'm disease free, later on in 2022 July, my MRI report suggested a small recurrence (with a '?' attached) though my oncologist couldn't spot anything suspicious on the MRI film, for a second opinion I was advised to consult a neurosurgeon even he too could not trace anything from the film!! He suggested to to take the next scan in in 6 months which will be done within a month! My oncologist opines that it could be interpretational error from the Scanning center. As I'm not experiencing any major issues. My symptoms started initially with difficulty in walking then Vomiting Along with severe headache, later on Vomiting/headaches in separate occasions, post surgery I had major gait issues, double vision. Double vision had majorly reduced within a month though walking issues are still there but manageable!!! I haven't felt any major headaches or vomiting untill now though very mild & short head aches are felt maybe 3-4 times in a month for the last 1 year or more. Hope the next MRI comes clean!!
Hello, I really hope you're feeling better 🙏 I was also diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, grade IV, 10 months ago, at 28 years old too. Really hope you're doing well. Stay strong
My daughter passed away of a modular blastoma at 2 1/2 years old and then that was in 1981 and then my son was diagnosed with a teratoma. They were both in the cerebellum. He is alive today, but has some difficulties.
My 4 year old wa diagnosed with neuroblastoma last year. Our 2 year had some weird effects the last few weeks and I'm worried a little. I don't see the exact effects you have here but this is what I find weird so far, last month took him to school at 10 30am and he vomited, appeared fine after, no fever, the same thing happened last week. He has been poking his eyes and eyebrow on and off which seems strange. And last week he was holding the back of his neck and was in pain. Spoke to pediatrician doesn't seem so concerned as yet, we did see an eye doctor, my son was screaming so was hard for the eye doctor to perform I think a good investigation but from the little he says he saw he had no concerns. Are these symptoms to worry about doctor?
I would go take your son into a pediatric ER hospital and get a CT or MRI done, soon my son had same symptoms but his Pedi said was just stomach bug, at the time cause it was going around, she wasn't expecting it to be a tumor. After taking him to er because of the throwing up. and especially if you already have a child with cancer it is apparent its in the family and I would get the second child checked out, just to be sure.
I had it and it went to my spine the brain surgery would stop my hart long story . only way it stopped was radiation. I'm 25 now and still have problems from it
Thank you for the information.. My son having this brain stem medulloblastoma the doctors suggest for surgery and I cant decide because my son is only 2 yrs. Old can you suggest me any solution of it. 😢
You would have to get a second opinion from someone who can examine your son. I am so sorry to hear what he is going through and you having to make such a difficult decision

I cannot give medical advice on here, however if you are concerned I would seek a second opinion. I hope everything works out for your son.

Is this tumour similar to Glioblastoma?
Stage 4 is aka Glioblastoma
