00:01👋 Courtney Ryan welcomes viewers to her channel and explains she will be reacting to two videos titled "Things That Hot Guys Do That Are Hot." 00:16📺 Courtney mentions that she has reacted to similar videos before and enjoys doing them because each list is different. 00:32😌 Courtney is happy there's no crazy voice effect in this video, and she's ready to get started. 00:42🧦 A woman in the video states that men should only wear calf socks, preferably with Boston clogs, rating it 10 out of 10. 01:17👟 Courtney reacts to the Boston clog and calf sock preference, stating it's a personal taste and explaining how fashion trends vary by region and demographic. 03:00🧦 Courtney discusses the divide between short socks and tall socks, noting how fashion trends change quickly. 03:36👓 A woman mentions black-rimmed glasses with colored lenses make her heart pitter-patter, specifically highlighting the Moscot brand. 04:03💵 Courtney acknowledges the high cost of Moscot glasses and suggests finding affordable options that suit individual face shapes. 05:22🧴 The woman claims that designer soap, such as Aesop, indicates a man has taste and is attractive. 05:53😅 Courtney finds the idea of expensive designer soap amusing, suggesting that it's not necessary to impress others. 07:12🧢 The woman admits she finds men who wear Seager Stable hats attractive, despite not understanding why. 08:29📱 The woman prefers when a man texts a reservation confirmation from the Resy app over Open Table, finding it more appealing. 09:16👀 Courtney appreciates the woman's honesty about her superficial preferences and discusses the subjectivity of attraction. 11:21💆♂ The woman starts the second video by emphasizing that hot men take care of their skin, specifically mentioning the Kiehl's brand. 12:00✨ Courtney agrees that having a skincare routine is attractive and shares a personal story about her husband's skincare habits impressing her.
Women find the strangest, oddest things attractive, like really stupid stuff and it honestly comes across as shallow and superficial to me. Like it's very minor, inconsequential, arbitrary stuff too.
Her list is full of high dollar items and intended to get men with money to believe that they need this look so that when they are out in public, she can easily determine who has money.
Don't have designer soap. But I do have "designer" soap bottles that Amazon sells. They're amber in color and come with generic labels. I use them for dishwasher soap and shampoo.
I love that you describe your husband as bourgie. btw, I've never heard of these brands. My skin care routine is Dial(Don't smoke, don't drink, don't sit in the sun, and hydrate. These are much more important).
As an older gentleman,I enjoy wearing quarter-length ankle socks instead of half-calf crew socks. I'm short(5'6"), and I think that crew socks cut my stature in half(legs). Short men should use what makes them stand out. Let me also say this: While I have sartorial leanings that aren't intentionally expensive (one can find good and expensive looking clothing in thrift stores if they do their homework), one also DOESN'T necessarily have to have knowledge of the latest music or drink to be hot. I've said it before and will say it again: It's about confidence in who and what you are--if a woman doesn't like that, it's their loss, not mine.
The most amazing takeaway from this for most men is that any of this (minute nonsense) would matter to a woman or anyone. The fact that different kinds of socks or the kind of soap would make some kind of difference to women.
my girlfriend and i have been dating for 9 months now, and i have to tell you, when I let her know that not only is there a show/concert coming up, but I already have tickets for it? Yeah that's going to result in a very happy text back. I mean it could be for some esoteric post-rock ambient show in a tiny venue, a string quartet performing at one of our famous venues, the ballet, the opera, punk rock show in a hole-in-the-wall place... it's all going to be an enormously fun time.
Designer soap: Smart guys would buy a designer soap and refill it with something cheap from TARGET or WALMART. I am particular about my soap but it is relatively cheap stuff from TARGET and whatnot. My go-to is METHOD’s Citrus, Ginger, & Sea Buckthorn body wash. It is probably targeted towards women but I like women and I like that soap. I also like LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS body wash. The classic flavor is okay but I’ve been into the Orange blossom flavor in recent years. It costs about twice as much as the METHOD brand (…because it is imported from France) and probably most hot guys can’t rock orange blossom [shrug]. The Citrus, Ginger, and Sea Buckthorn comes off as more of an incipient knife fight. So I think most hot guys can handle that.
I always have to buy my Jack Black “Black Reserve” body wash which is about $50. Not to impress anybody with the cost….it just feels great on the skin and has THE best smell.
My biggest take-away from these videos that Courtney reacted to is that most items were weirdly brand specific. This woman is probably trying to make money from those brands.
This girl's list is oddly specific and she definitely seems like a gold digger. The calf socks are way too high and it looks like someone's trying too hard.
Thanks for the video. To me, this woman doesn't come across as really conceited. She doesn't say "Stop wearing that." I appreciate that she doesn't make her video as an attack on things that she doesn't like. I'll never have the money or be willing to spend the money on the expensive brands that she likes, but that's okay. She's obviously not someone who would ever be right for me. I just like that she has a bit of a light-hearted attitude about this list. I tend to see sock length as dependent on the environment. Most of my socks stop about halfway between my ankle and calf, and that seems to work for where I am. I haven't found any good winter socks that are longer, but in cold weather, I'd like socks that came a little higher. In warm weather, lower socks can work pretty well. My skin care routine is soap and water. I'm sorry to all the ladies who don't like that. At one time, I had a Mazda B2600i pickup truck and a Saturn coupe as vehicles. I used the truck for truck stuff and the Saturn for other driving. That gave me the best gas mileage combination. Ultimately, neither of them was particularly reliable. Small, "econobox" cars have their place. I used to get almost 40 mpg on the highway on long trips, and I loved that. However, that little car didn't cushion the road at all. Eventually, I became too old to handle long trips in that little car. I like a good crossover now. Ultimately, a woman who doesn't appreciate that kind of car is not going to appreciate me.
What make a person hot is what's in their heart. For example, husbands loving their wife's and children wife's loving their husband and children. A person who worship God and goes to church. Is kind to other people and helps people. Gives to charity.
She hit the nail on the head when she said a lot of the things she mentioned were superficial. The very specific expensive products. I get that ne can have their preferences, but all that felt way to much. I much rather prefer Courtney's take. Rather than a specific brand of facial care products, simply have a facial care routine. Things like that.
Key insights 🧦 Men wearing ankle socks with Boston clogs is a perfect 10 out of 10, but not everyone may agree with that fashion choice. 👴 Fashion trends can change quickly, turning "Grandpa socks" into a hot item for young men. 🧼 Designer soap in a man's house can make him hot because it shows he has a taste and spends money on luxury items. 😍 "You don't need to fit this mould or box of a very specific type of man to be attractive to women right." 💄 Having a skincare routine and taking care of yourself is important, your grooming habits stand out. 🍷 Wine bars make for a more elevated and better atmosphere for a date, providing a great opportunity to talk and enjoy some cheese and snacks. 🧥 Wearing a white T-shirt under a crew neck sweater gives off an effortlessly sexy look that girls love. 🎤 Being informed and knowing about local events like live concerts or shows can be attractive, it's like you're in the know.

OK, taking care of your skin - definitely. Using a particular brand - no, superficial. Not every product works for everyone; we all have different skincare needs.
A quick question to all Courtney's subscribers here who were born and raised in the US … I fell for an American woman from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and suggested we start a relationship … She actually agreed but warned me right from the start that she had no intention whatsoever to learn at least the basics of MY native language which is Russian in order to be able to communicate with my extended family too … Do you think I should go on trying to convince her that this is rather unfair? … Or should I just drop it and give up on the whole idea of building a relationship with a person who is unwilling to compromise and converse with my family members speaking their first language like I do with hers? * Moscow, Russia
Just my opinion here but I'd be concerned. If you two end up being serious she's gonna have to meet your family. Her saying she has no intention to learn their language makes me think that she has no intention for anything long-term. Then again this is early in the relationship and she might come around. It's your call, but I'd personally be cautious.
As a word of advice, I'd ask her a hypothetical question of what she would make of meeting your family. Her response to such a question should enable you to have a sufficiently complete picture overall. As someone that is multilingual (with Russian as one of the languages that I speak), if your partner makes an explicit statement to the point that they "ha[ve] no intention whatsoever to learn at least the basics of YOUR native language", then that signals a seriously corrosive attitude (perhaps accompanied by the oft-encountered fickle princess (think "взбалмошная принцесса" in "Бременские Музыканты") mentality) that is incompatible with the tenets of a mature healthy relationship. The older she becomes, the less likely she is to take steps to shake off the entitlement.
In general, when we talk about "things that make men look hot," we mean "things that hot men can carry off." Beautiful people make anything look good, and it's often mistaken for style. In any case, I've never worn socks in any size but calf-length, because nothing else is practical or comfortable. (The only exceptions are the liner socks I wear on the inside when I'm hiking.) And yes, SCREW those ankle-length and no-show socks, even if the men's style channels keep recommending them: I don't flash my ankles. I do agree with Courtney about blowing off the "designer" soaps: I can get a HUGE bottle of Dr. Bronner's for half the price or less, use it for a million other things besides bathing as well, and girls actually like the smell better. P.S. That soap called "Aesop" should really be pronounced, "EE-sopp"; it's the name of that ancient greek storyteller who made up stories like "The Tortoise and the Hare." (The name is, admittedly, a clever pun.)
When I moved out of my parents' house into my apartment in late May / early June 2021 ... I ordered a couple of soap pumps that are glass. They're a set of two. I think they were. They're glass. One's currently on my shower caddy holding my baby shampoo (I shave my head). And the other's waiting for me to refill it. I ordered them on Amazon with a funnel. I was putting Soft soap in them. But now I'm thinking dish soap because I've noticed it's oftentimes less costly. And more readily available in stores. I can't justify laying out $70 on a baseball hat. Or $30 on soap. Or any of that stuff. And I wear quarter socks to workout. though I was born in 1981. I'm a millennial too. Go look it up before you say I'm not. This is Andrew Keener. I do not wear wools. They make me itch. Ironically my overcoat is wool. But it's the exception.
"If you are a man, start doing these things." No, I'm not doing it because I am a man. $80 for a ballcap??? Who knew there was "designer" soap? I thought all soap was designed by someone.
I used Kiehl men's tinted moisturizer but they discontinued it, I now love Ordinary - cleansers, toners, moisturizers, and retinol. amazing. PS I love cars like classic EU sports cars are sexy. having lived in EU for 10 years. hahah
Regarding personal vehicle: I drive an older {2003} Ford F-150. I cannot describe how USEFUL having a pickup is. If you have the option, buy one. And probably a 4x4. My only regret with my truck as it is only two wheel drive.
Courtney - Here's another 'weirdly specific' comment...I generally enjoy all your videos; certainly the content and advice, but also love that you play soft 'elevator music' in the background. Not sure why, but this adds a lot to your message!!!🙂
Calf socks 🧦 are just that…. for Calfs 🐄! No show socks with a pair of Brooks tennis shoes 👟 is the ONLY "STYLE" when wearing shorts. (Period) Also $80 for a hat 🧢 is ridiculous Unless you’re bald 👨🦲👴. What kind of woman doesn’t want to run/rub her fingers through a guys hair!! 🙄 I’m a 40 year old man & I have more "style" & sense than 1/2 the guys out there nowadays!! 😒 🤦♂️
I don't like no show socks. I can't find any long enough that prevent the top my shoes from rubbing on my skin. So I just wear slightly longer socks that just reach the bottom of my ankle bone. You can still see them but they're not technically ankle socks.
I wore tube socks as a child in the 80's and early 90's and I think they look ridiculous on grown adults. Then again I also think that ankle socks are terrible because they serve very little purpose and can rub the bones on the side of my ankle. I prefer a crew cut sock like dress socks, but I also don't pull them all the way up. To each their own though.
Courtney you are married and I am too. So, things are a little bit different if you are dating. When it comes to my clothing my wife tells me what she likes. I have no problem with that. I even ask her what do you want me to wear? My wife will sometimes ask me if what she is wearing looks good? Again, this is not a problem and in fact I like it. Thoughts?
This is a silly list, I can't take this woman seriously. I'd caution women with the Truck & SUV topic. Those vehicles are not economical to drive. It's one or two things, either the guy owns a business that requires a Truck or he's just stupid and burning through a lot of pointless gas money. There's no in-between on that topic.
This person in the video is intolerable. At a minimum you know she has expensive taste and will spend your money or she is pushing some product. The worst thing is that if Chad Thunder--- asked her out, his hat or soap won't matter a bit. Reminder to not take any of this seriously.
@Frontline35 I have been meaning to do that for a long time. I have just been distracted with my educational endeavors for too long. It's just difficult when you don't know where to go.
Depending on where you live, signing up for local activities can be a great way to meet people. Cooking/art classes, a book club, hiking/rafting/active days, wine/liquor/beer tastings hosted at local restaurants/bars can also be an option. Dating apps work, too, and if you're just looking to meet people as friends and not to date some have that option.

00:16📺 Courtney mentions that she has reacted to similar videos before and enjoys doing them because each list is different.
The bears can have that one.
I drive a 2009 Honda Accord LX. Speedy, stylish, and efficient.
I don't drive. I sometimes wonder in an alternative universe if women are impressed by a man with a chauffeur.
@@brianthesnail3815 If I can't trust others on the road, I can't trust a private driver. I'd rather drive myself.
Don't have designer soap. But I do have "designer" soap bottles that Amazon sells. They're amber in color and come with generic labels. I use them for dishwasher soap and shampoo.
She would hate me. Funny thing is, I would be happy about that. LOL
I love that you describe your husband as bourgie. btw, I've never heard of these brands. My skin care routine is Dial(Don't smoke, don't drink, don't sit in the sun, and hydrate. These are much more important).
I wear a batman cape everywhere I go and women love it!
She reveals her emotional maturity!
Courtney is definitely correct here. The girl in the video is just describing stuff that her crush has, does, or wears.
I buy Kirkland soap at Costco. Its creamy, smells great and doesn't dry my skin. Best soap hands down. Beats Dove's in every category including price.
I use dish soap for everything . 99 a bottle
I dilute dawn dish soap in a sprayer bottle😂 One bottle of dish soap will last literally a year or more.
👑
The most amazing takeaway from this for most men is that any of this (minute nonsense) would matter to a woman or anyone. The fact that different kinds of socks or the kind of soap would make some kind of difference to women.
❤ *What gets easier to pick up the heavier it gets?* Women
my girlfriend and i have been dating for 9 months now, and i have to tell you, when I let her know that not only is there a show/concert coming up, but I already have tickets for it? Yeah that's going to result in a very happy text back. I mean it could be for some esoteric post-rock ambient show in a tiny venue, a string quartet performing at one of our famous venues, the ballet, the opera, punk rock show in a hole-in-the-wall place... it's all going to be an enormously fun time.
As a man, we need to be really gullible to believe this kind of things...
It's how to be fashion victims 101 for men, basically...
I've been wearing hats since I was 6 years old, love them.
Women generally find men hotter without a hat, but some stylish hats they like.
Nice video Courtney, such a calming voice and a voice of reason 🥰
I always have to buy my Jack Black “Black Reserve” body wash which is about $50. Not to impress anybody with the cost….it just feels great on the skin and has THE best smell.
My biggest take-away from these videos that Courtney reacted to is that most items were weirdly brand specific.
This woman is probably trying to make money from those brands.
Cerve's hydrating bar soap is the best hand soap bar I've seen yet, no fragrance and reasonably priced as well.

😎
Single guy here, 30 y/o. I drive a 1993 Honda Civic del Sol and it gets way more attention from women than my S2000 or Tacoma. Named it Barbie dream car haha Compact cars DO work.
OK, taking care of your skin - definitely. Using a particular brand - no, superficial. Not every product works for everyone; we all have different skincare needs.
A quick question to all Courtney's subscribers here who were born and raised in the US …
I fell for an American woman from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and suggested we start a relationship …
She actually agreed but warned me right from the start that she had no intention whatsoever to learn at least the basics of MY native language which is Russian in order to be able to communicate with my extended family too …
Do you think I should go on trying to convince her that this is rather unfair? …
Or should I just drop it and give up on the whole idea of building a relationship with a person who is unwilling to compromise and converse with my family members speaking their first language like I do with hers?
* Moscow, Russia
That sounds worrying to me.
Didn't like the things on her lists but also didn't like the vibe of this woman so that makes sense.
"If you are a man, start doing these things." No, I'm not doing it because I am a man. $80 for a ballcap???
Who knew there was "designer" soap? I thought all soap was designed by someone.
The only cap I will ever wear is my "Mooby's" cap, and that is rarely.
I knew of designer bars, but liquid?!?!?!?!?!
Love your taste Courtney. Your videos help a lot! Thank you!
(Period)
Also $80 for a hat 🧢 is ridiculous Unless you’re bald 👨🦲👴. What kind of woman doesn’t want to run/rub her fingers through a guys hair!! 🙄
I’m a 40 year old man & I have more "style" & sense than 1/2 the guys out there nowadays!!
I don't have designer soda.
This Girl is a Red Flag she's confessing her very High Standards. 🚩🚩😂😂
Thoughts?
She's young and wants a trendy young dude and not a mature man. That's fine.
The first item listed probably knocked that woman's socks off!
She’s materialistic. Run.
3:34 - "I like to see your ankle bone" - Courtney Ryan (2024) 😂😂😂
😂🫠
Can't have that Cankle
This is a silly list, I can't take this woman seriously. I'd caution women with the Truck & SUV topic. Those vehicles are not economical to drive. It's one or two things, either the guy owns a business that requires a Truck or he's just stupid and burning through a lot of pointless gas money. There's no in-between on that topic.
Of all things, the "Oh my" reaction to the calf socks made me laugh. Even now, I'm still grinning. Thanks for sharing this video. ❤
Great video. Truly a profile in crazy. Men take note.
This person in the video is intolerable. At a minimum you know she has expensive taste and will spend your money or she is pushing some product. The worst thing is that if Chad Thunder--- asked her out, his hat or soap won't matter a bit. Reminder to not take any of this seriously.
When working out and running ankle socks are a must.
What is your opinion if you have not dated in a long time and you want to go out with people, but the pool of people that you know is extremely small?
Do not attempt to date again, you will be very disappointed. Get a new hobby, new pets, whatever it takes. Save yourself.
Dating apps
Go out and meet new people. Hobbies are great for meeting new people.
Great video and insights Courtney!
Plot twist, she's a paid influencer promoting fasion items
I think I can say that the colored lense on sun glasses is the late 80s to mid 90's look.
Aesop is pronounced a-sop. Hard A with the silent E, and sop at the end . It's the name of a writer who wrote Aesop's Fables. :) Just an FYI for the lovely Courtney.
I have a big voss bottle n would fill it up w water so I can drink lile a boss… honestly the taste really does make a difference psychologically.. you guys should try it
This list is goofy AF
oh and the Car/truck thing -- 1000000% not into trucks, haha! I actually love responsible and practical guys. So sports cars and expensive trucks do nothing for me. Call me craaaazy but I find guys a little more attractive (or rather, compatible with me) if they drive a hybrid or electric vehicle. I love when guys care about the environment and care about saving money rather than care about what he "looks" like.
LOVING the content!
