Figuring out a new latching setup and tailgate cover panel

My tailgate doesn't fit right anymore after welding in those floor pans, so first up we are going to mess with the tailgate fitment. but that only causes me more problems. Also in this episode, we take apart the Suburban tailgate I bought a good while back and start using its parts to build a functional Travelall tailgate.
