I absolutely have to give Mats dad a compliment , we love the way he enjoys his time with Mat and gives off good energy and happy
❤❤
Agree
i mean he drives a ferrari😂
they clearly have a great relationship
The way i watch Matt's videos with so much concentration, you'll think I can afford these cars
I thought i was the only 1 thinking about that 😢😂
One day bro. Why not... I own a 2013 328i and I am intent on doing as much of the work on it that I possibly can. Its not unreasonable to dream that one day Ill have the money but more importantly the technical skills and friends to pull off amazing projects like this one.
You can I can to the toy wants kids drive yeah
The headlights worked because those modules you swapped were already coded. I’m so glad you figured it out I was yelling at the tv 🤣
I'm very surprised. How can a module change the lighting colour of the headlights 😮😮
@@OratileTrusts all the colours are already built in. The coding controls how they behave
"I'm far from a mechanic." yeah idk if you can say that anymore mat.
He should take classes and get certified.

this guy knows more about cars than most mechanics I know.
I’ll tell you something, I’ll never get tiered of seeing Tony drive his Ferrari ❤ good on you Mat for making it possible.
has a constant annoying laugh tho - like a tick
@@HelenCrane-jl1nvmate just need to laugh and enjoy life sometimes
@@HelenCrane-jl1nv you sound depressed
I know you usually don’t work on Hondas or Toyotas but a Honda s2000 build or a Toyota Supra build or old JDM cars would give a nostalgic vibe… cheers to all you do bruv
I was thinking along the same lines but with an Escort or Sierra Cosworth
I'll go with the Fords. Especially the Cosworth, I can even work with the Supra, but a Honda S2000? Unless you put an obscene amount of money into it, You'll never get it even to the point of taking on my Opel Astra... YES! I drive an Astra. You British guys would probably rather associate that with Vauxhall, But no. Mine is an Opel. The least talked about German brand. Yet. I am still waiting for the Golf G.T.I that can take me. Oh, and did I mention she's 24 years old? Your Golf doesn't need to be, though. She eats 2023 G.T.I's for breakfast. In fact. There's still some G.T.I stuck in her teeth from the last race. And I will admit. Had that car a driver that knew what he was doing, he could have murdered me. Sometimes having a fast car is not all it takes.
@@riaankruger9572 uhh buddy ol pal, enough with the essays. Sometimes driving isn’t all about speed, but nostalgia and aesthetic of a good looking car…
Second gen Eclipse GSX, please!
@@richardjames1402 I could go for the Eclipse, yes. Beautiful car with some quite surprising performance.
The best TH-cam mechanic Mat 💥 😁👏🏻🙌🏻
I was a collision tech for 26 years, have now moved on to a light rail collision center. After watching your video I can confirm that you are one of the most detailed shows that really breaks it down in depth on how it really is to bring these cars back to life. I was a car-liner certified frame tech and I absolutely approve of all your repairs! Congratulations!🎉
brother im so glad you put out a 3hr video i hate the 20 minute vids lol but its good to pass a bit of time
some of us dont have time to consistently watch 3 hour videos lmao. 20min are THE BEST
Your dad is hilarious man! His laugh and spirits are infectious.
No kidding man, I hope to be like that when I’m older
So Mat, you really gonna have us watch this like a movie for 3 hours bro.... am in lol
i learning about these cars knowing 1 day i will buy 1.
buy a crashed Bugatti
Crash one first 😂
😂
what colour brokie
I have a feeling he may already have one, but is currently sourcing parts before he starts on it
Not a chance that a bugatti survives a crash not at the speeds they can go
I watched all these videos individually but still just spent a full afternoon watching the full video, never get bored with this bunch.
Another banger from the best TH-cam mechanic
I've seen the vast majority of your builds and this is by far my favorite. The level of achievement with this one is outstanding. Keep up the good work.
Is so hearthwarming seeing your amazing Dad with his Ferrari, he love his car. Mat, you are so blessed to have a Dad like him, i wish i had one like yours ❤️
i watched the whole video all in one sitting and didn’t even get slightly bored
I watch an hour then fall asleep and watching as soon as. I wake up now
Mr. Mat Armstrong you have accomplished to build a great team. Congratulations. You have room for a third channel all the ground work and behind the scenes. Hard work pays off
Mat brings people into car culture and breaks stereotypes
At 47 years old you regret me not making the decision to be a mechanic you're an inspiration and I love what you do
Matt seems like the person not to fix the collapsing bridge before he walks on it but fixes it while he on it haha always fun to watch 😂
Tavarish is the nicest dude. Love when he shows up in these videos.
One of the best car rebuilds I've ever seen, great fun to watch and very satisfying! well done :)
I like when you put your personal touch on your builds. I understand the concept. It's your car, do what ever you want with it, you want to stand out against what comes from the factory. In my opinion, that's what real cars guys do. Car snobs can go kick rocks. Keep rockn to your music. 👍
53:53 I love how you're a younger version of your dad, and when you make a joke that he would make, he laughs hahahaha it's precious, to be honest.
The workmanship and skill is just incredible

Here we go again
Matt there’s nothing like seeing the end result when its complete seeing your dad still enjoying what he does temting me to get back to panel beating one thing I enjoyed 😅
The guy who owns the car is now selling it on autotrader for 94k
u can check also the rim mugs rigth if u need to align the rim
Who's watching in 2025?
that front bumper is batman savage , awesome , what a none stop action packed 3 and half hours , amazing vid
Love the idea that Matt is unashamedly reposting for views and TH-cam money, Dude is smart he’s got an Buisness to run😊
Yes but also so so new viewers can watch everything in one video. They’re very popular videos of his.
@wd7525 this is exactly how I come across mat armstrong. It was the m5 comp full build to be exact
not really a repost if its multiple videos edited together
It was the full rebuilds that got me to the channel took two weeks catching up on everything thats been posted - now I am hooked and wait impatiently for the posts. I like to leave the full vids on in the background now for when I'm working in my man cave!
I like watching the full ones tbf. Even the ones I've seen. Always spot new things I've missed
Guys, I've watched a few of your videos to include the Mansory Rolls, and I'm enjoying the videos more and more. I especially love the interactions with your dad. I wish you and your team continued success and I also wish you and your dad many more days of fun and happiness.
My urge to watch this guys videos is unhealthy
Wow niceee. I would def listen to the song “Dupe - CTM” in that car 😅😅
You are far more than a mechanic!! You have a master mind 😮
Best TH-cam mechanic with another banger. Keep up the good work
Mind blowing
You do sweet jobs with Bimmers, but that GTR is the ish!!!
Love watching you on your channel. Especially with your father such nice relationship 😊😊
Love this build 🤟
You do wonderful craftsmanship and it’s great to see you working with your Dad and it’s only one minor criticism and most people don’t bother but from a retired aerospace welder you really need to back your welds with argon to prevent oxidisation of the back of the welds 👍
In America we call them interior "door panels" rather then "cards". Awesome job. This is what I call living the dream and putting it on video for all to enjoy and learn.. Thumbs up all the way.
Amazing how much you love your work, & it shows in the end product!! A+ I am currently trying to get a Mini cooper/ BMW road worthy for a friend who is an orphan who is taking lessons. No money to do anything yet but you inspired me soo much, I will make it happen!! thank you! AMAZING skills, transformation & wonderful happy people.
love the vids they teach me so much
I absolutely love this guy! I actually find myself waiting for his videos to post!
Americans men, well real American men don’t normally admit it! But this guy is awesome! Keep up the great videos!
I love seeing you working with your Dad. The relationship between Father and Son is so special and strong. Take as many steps to spend time with him you’ll be grateful later. Sorry just lost mine not to long ago and your dad reminds me of mine. Love your vids keep up the great work
Another Video wich safes the day
A silent Filipino follower here bro Matt! I wish I could have one of these lit sports car in the future. You're such an inspiration to the Youth and a great son to your dad! Hope you would visit Philippines soon. God bless you and your team. Cheers!
Wait didnt we see this already or another house crashed one
its the same video its just the longer version
Derrrrr!
This is the movie
Mat has joined up with the other goons repeating the repeats 😢
It's all episode's in a 3 hour binge... an I'm new to the channel... love em
I have no interest in any modern cars at all but I do have a huge amount of admiration for individuals such as Mat, his dad and the team around him for taking on these challenges. It seems that as he progress onto each and every new project that he and they undertake, their knowledge grows and well as their skill set. Very entertaining video feeds Mat. I look forward to seeing more....
The ADRO front bumper definitely takes this car from a 5/10 to a 10/10.
Love the channel and the bmw builds . Had similar with my 330d basically did what you did and just removed damage and welded in new simple . I will never own an M3 or 5 but thank you for the great videos ✌️✌️
2:01:20 If only you knew haha 🤣
Omg I was hanging onto the couch watching how the m3 bounced 😅what an incredible trip to make with your friends and your dad!! Well done boys
'its a competition' maxx would be proud
Great work, it’s amazing that you aren’t afraid to tackle any project. You should wear a respirator when you’re spraying paint, though.
Lots of love kenya 🇰🇪
Blood , Sweat & happiness from the no1 TH-cam team paying off
Come on Matt! This is old! Your channel is going downhill with the bigger more expensive builds! Go back to more affordable builds where you can put out new content.
I love the way your dad just full of life, well the entire team
why are we just getting repeats ????
Because it’s a second channel meant for full long video builds. So all the episodes from the main channel in one video.
the interior choice is spot on
Thanks guys. What I enjoy about watching you all is your very different laughs 😂
They absolutely crease me.
Good build
Woot... i love these.... ive seen all the seperate episodes but i really love watching it again in one massive movie i always seem to see something i missed before... thx... from Australia 🇦🇺
The second half of the video was so satisfying 😊
These long forms compilations are so much better
"Congrats, Mat! Your hard work and passion make every video a hit. Keep up the amazing work!"
Absolutely love these 3 hour episodes
You don’t have any idea how motivating clips are you doing. I wish in one day I will can earn from the most I like to do . Thanks for your motivation and congratulations for your family which is next you and helping you out with your crazy passion. Thanks ! And big respect from Romania 🇷🇴 ❤
Love this transformation! Good choice in the black arm rest!
I'm officially asking Mat to start a mechanic school because I've learned so many tricks on this channel. It makes me want to rebuild something lol
Honestly man if the car means a lot to you, isn’t crippling you financially and you enjoy it then keep it, the journey you have been on to get the car is truly one of a kind so I’d say keep it 👍👍
Best car channel on youtube hands down
bro im at 1:30:25 and just seeing this car go from a mangled mess to this is just mental!!! props to you mad!!
Actually excited for a 3 hour video. Like a long movie I'm fully invested in
Man u make the best Videos... love that you show start to finish.... and Love u have Dad 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 in Videos Father Son work stays with u forever the road trip minor breakdowns make great memories 😅
Love these full build videos!!!
First time I ever watched a 3hr video on TH-cam… good stuff Mat
normally I skip through vids but this I watched this from start to finish absolutely amazing work mat
Much appreciated!
I really like the after-market bumper...but it does make the car look more like a DODGE.
Man, the amount of effort you put into this rebuild is awesome! It’s like watching a masterpiece unfold. 🚗💨 Plus, who knew a BMW could get so much love after a crash? It feels like a comeback story. Can't wait to see what you tackle next! 🔧💪
DUDE THAT FRONT BUMPER IS MADDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hats off to u guys !! O my at the connectors and sensors and hoses on these newer cars it’s overwhelming and if u forget to connect one thing it all has to come back apart!! Really ppl don’t think about how difficult this all is !!! Bravo bravo bravo
I've been following adro for a while and seeing you use it for this m3 it's just a bliss, their kits are awesome and together with the yellow lights it's perfect match ❤
this is the best video i have ever watched of Mat Armstrong
Squad goals honestly
I want to say that the job on this one was eggcellent. However I wanted to give you a tip on the 1/4 panel install. Insurance companies require a 3 inch piece of metal to bridge where the jamb and roof line meet to support the unusual marrying of the outer metal. You spray the piece that goes underneath with weld through primer then weld it in. I hope this helps you.
Bro is living my dream life.
Having a garage and rebuild cars.
I now can only build my tiny 150cc motorcycle on the side of the road lol.
Textbook definition of “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” 😢🤯🔥🔥😭
The results of the rebuild on the rear quarter section were more than impressive. It appears that Jack's involvement was quite key, but Matt, Tony, etal obviously did their parts as well. I would have thought the trunk gap which the team achieved was not possible, at least not without adding material to edges and/or seams. Says something about the consistency of fit BMW parts were stamped to. I would like to know whether you tracked the hours the team spent on the job, not including the videographer's time. Multiple that total number of hours by the typical shop rate in your favorite body shop, and you'll have the true investment of getting this vehicle back on the road. But it would not change the fact that you have shown it is possible if a DIYer is willing to put in the time. Not sure Mat, or Tony qualify as a 'typical DIYer' after the series of cars you have had your fingers into. Thanks for the entertainment throughout.
I've already sat through and watched all these episodes before and now I just sat through and washed them all again
Your dad is funny .love that he comes out on video
1:19 in Tony’s “wow” has me laughing so hard my side hurts. 😂
Love the videos. You crack me up when you always reference wing…or fender if you’re American. But you always say bonnet. 😂
Hey Mat! Modern headlights often contain some intelligence within their electronic circuits to control and monitor various functions. These are known as control units.
During the vehicle's initialization, the headlight control unit and other modules register on a communication bus (CAN) to exchange messages, receive commands, etc. This is an addressed communication bus, which is likely why swapping the modules resolved the issue. If the new one has an address that is already taken or not registered by the master system, it won't be recognized and can't function properly. :)
Hope this helps!
Vince
In the industrial enviroment we can't forget were the bolts are. We put them back in the thread where they were. Except for multiple bolts from the same kind like the underplate.
