Step by step door skin repair
Door mounted mirrors. Ugh. Especially on an old farmer vehicle. There must have been 4 different mirrors mounted on this beast. And that add up to a LOT of door holes I have to fix. Since it's gotta get done, I figured I would show you guys a step by step to do this yourself!

How to fix roof damage on a vintage car
มุมมอง 112หลายเดือนก่อน
The Tallhoe has a bunch of holes in the roof. One large one in particular that I prefer to believe was made by a shotgun. I like to imagine a farmer propped his shotgun in the roof frame, hit a bump, and BAM! Shotgun blast in the cabin right out the roof. Awesome. But sadly, is time to fill it in and all the others too. Mind the Gap! Building A pillars for coolest chassis swap on the internet.

this time around we are finishing the A pillars. We started assembling these quite some time ago but never did finish the assembly. So we'll get the rest of this all welded up. But first there is some serious rust damage that we've got to get repaired so we'll get that all taken care of and get one step closer to having this thing ready for the road. Tallhoe Part 57 - Hood and Hinges. The last major step in rebuilding and attaching the front clip. Lots of rust to repair including some major structural damage along the backside of the hood. and once that's all done, I still have no way of attaching the hood to the Tahoe. I picked up some junkyard hinges but it's gonna take done going to get them to work. Come check it out. Music - Alex Prote...
Same basic project, but a whole different adventure. Fender mods, driver side Travelall

Part 56 of the Travelall chassis swap. Last time we got the passenger side fender built. This time it's the drivers. While the basic work is the same, this fender ended up requiring a lot more and a lot different work compared to the first one. Music Alexander Naraka - Engine Anno Domini

มุมมอง 1.8K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
Part 55 It's finally time to fix and modify the front fenders. There are various holes and dents, a bunch of Bondi and a whole new wheel arch to deal with. Ends up these fenders took some real effort but the final result had been well worth it.
There's a lot of rust to fix in here. Restore a radiator support.
มุมมอง 1687 หลายเดือนก่อน
In the last episode I created frames that hold the Travelall fenders in place where I want them. Now I need to fix and fit the radiator support. With small mods from last time, the rad support bolts in but it's in terrible shape. lots of rust holes. by the end of this episode, the rad support is fully fixed and painted.

In this episode we have to make the Travelall fenders bolt to the Tahoe chassis beneath it. It takes me a few different tries to figure out how to make up something that does the job properly. Once we figure it out we even go the extra step to make everything look nice and clean when it's all assembled together. With the windshield frame fully attached to the Tahoe cowl, we gotta make it all look right again. I could have chosen to weld this cowl back on, but I didn't (likely because I'm either a masochist or an idiot, or both). This is yet another step that took way longer than I expected. There is a lot of work not even shown. But in the end, I have a removeable cowl, so anything I need to do under t...

Tahoe fuel neck. This shoulda been easy!
มุมมอง 271ปีที่แล้ว
One of the difficult things about combining mismatched chassis and body is aligning various systems that cross between them. with a new floor own and fuel system in this old body, I have to get a little frisky to make them work together. Step one is getting the Tahoe fuel neck in to the Travel fuel door. That way I know the diameters are compatible and I can make sure things point where I want ...

What was your motor pulley size?

    • @alchemymotorsports
      @alchemymotorsports 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

I don't remember but it is all based on the size of the compressor pulley and the RPM the compressor needs to run at. You could easily find a calculator online if you have the compressor head info.

Thanks! I'm a big fan of Wagoneers. I owned a '69 for a while, years back. I was hunting either a Wagoneer or a Travelall when I got this beast. As for flares, have you looked at the wide track Cherokee Chief or J10 trucks? I've wanted to use those flares on a Wagoneer build for a long time. I considered them for this build but again, I found a Dakota first.
