Just a guy in a garage trying to build custom cars out of rusted, abused, and neglected old rundowns. Chassis swaps, rust repair, engine swaps, suspension mods, I will probably fail at all of it. But since it will be on camera for everyone to enjoy, it should still be awesome!
Step by step door skin repair
Door mounted mirrors. Ugh. Especially on an old farmer vehicle. There must have been 4 different mirrors mounted on this beast. And that add up to a LOT of door holes I have to fix. Since it's gotta get done, I figured I would show you guys a step by step to do this yourself!

How to fix roof damage on a vintage car
มุมมอง 112หลายเดือนก่อน
The Tallhoe has a bunch of holes in the roof. One large one in particular that I prefer to believe was made by a shotgun. I like to imagine a farmer propped his shotgun in the roof frame, hit a bump, and BAM! Shotgun blast in the cabin right out the roof. Awesome. But sadly, is time to fill it in and all the others too. Mind the Gap! Building A pillars for coolest chassis swap on the internet.
มุมมอง 4013 หลายเดือนก่อน
this time around we are finishing the A pillars. We started assembling these quite some time ago but never did finish the assembly. So we'll get the rest of this all welded up. But first there is some serious rust damage that we've got to get repaired so we'll get that all taken care of and get one step closer to having this thing ready for the road. Tallhoe Part 57 - Hood and Hinges. The last major step in rebuilding and attaching the front clip. Lots of rust to repair including some major structural damage along the backside of the hood. and once that's all done, I still have no way of attaching the hood to the Tahoe. I picked up some junkyard hinges but it's gonna take done going to get them to work. Come check it out. Music - Alex Prote...
Same basic project, but a whole different adventure. Fender mods, driver side Travelall
มุมมอง 1615 หลายเดือนก่อน
Part 56 of the Travelall chassis swap. Last time we got the passenger side fender built. This time it's the drivers. While the basic work is the same, this fender ended up requiring a lot more and a lot different work compared to the first one. Music Alexander Naraka - Engine Anno Domini
I took a Travelall and I made it better looking. New Fender design on a D series.
มุมมอง 1.8K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
Part 55 It's finally time to fix and modify the front fenders. There are various holes and dents, a bunch of Bondi and a whole new wheel arch to deal with. Ends up these fenders took some real effort but the final result had been well worth it.
There's a lot of rust to fix in here. Restore a radiator support.
มุมมอง 1687 หลายเดือนก่อน
In the last episode I created frames that hold the Travelall fenders in place where I want them. Now I need to fix and fit the radiator support. With small mods from last time, the rad support bolts in but it's in terrible shape. lots of rust holes. by the end of this episode, the rad support is fully fixed and painted.
Transforming an Old SUV: Bolt-On Frames for Swapped Chassis Fender Fitment
มุมมอง 2718 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this episode we have to make the Travelall fenders bolt to the Tahoe chassis beneath it. It takes me a few different tries to figure out how to make up something that does the job properly. Once we figure it out we even go the extra step to make everything look nice and clean when it's all assembled together. With the windshield frame fully attached to the Tahoe cowl, we gotta make it all look right again. I could have chosen to weld this cowl back on, but I didn't (likely because I'm either a masochist or an idiot, or both). This is yet another step that took way longer than I expected. There is a lot of work not even shown. But in the end, I have a removeable cowl, so anything I need to do under t...
Windshield frame repair on a chassis swapped vintage suv
มุมมอง 39410 หลายเดือนก่อน
Ever since I attached the travel body to the Tahoe there's been a large gap between the windshield and the firewall. This time we're going to try and fill that gap and strengthen the windshield frame. It's a little bit funky the way it all has to go together but I think it's strong and will work well. Check it out. Project Tallhoe part 50 Fuel neck part two. Time to hook up the newly fitted neck to the rest of the fuel system. Holes to cut, pipes to fit, lots to do! Tahoe fuel neck. This shoulda been easy!
มุมมอง 271ปีที่แล้ว
One of the difficult things about combining mismatched chassis and body is aligning various systems that cross between them. with a new floor own and fuel system in this old body, I have to get a little frisky to make them work together. Step one is getting the Tahoe fuel neck in to the Travel fuel door. That way I know the diameters are compatible and I can make sure things point where I want ...

This is a superb project
Keep up the god work!
Good job. Not trying to tell you what to do but you should make more videos the more videos you make has more chance of people seeing them which means more chance of subs good luck keep them coming buddy 👍
My friend, you are nothing but correct. I need to upgrade my hardware for video production. But I keep spending that money on car parts....
The Talhoe, is getting closer, seems like smaller details take a lot of time
Be nice mine worked out like that mine starts off slow and boogs down all new stuff
Hello there, i am a professional digital marketer. i have analyzed your youtube channel and findout some problems. i can solve it and help you for grow your youtube channel. do you want to talk about it for a while?
Hi there, would you please tell me which capacitors this motor uses at 220v? I'm asking because I found the same motor of yours, but the capacitors are missing, thank you very much for your time
I think my head hurts after falling off the roof, ha haha. Probably feels like you're never done welding on the talhoe
Indeed. It's been a long road but I think I can FINALLY see the end.
Should of made a single cab truck instead of this
I imagine it feels like the work on the Talhoe never ends
There is truth to that. I really thought I could do this in a year. I'm now 2.5 years in and not done.
Welcome back
So cool!!! Great job
What was your motor pulley size?
I don't remember but it is all based on the size of the compressor pulley and the RPM the compressor needs to run at. You could easily find a calculator online if you have the compressor head info.
Sometimes the sheet metal needs an attitude adjustment to cooperate. 😁😁
Stomping. The attitude adjuster. 😁
Hood looks encouraging, I imagine you are very happy
If theres a will there's a way, your'e moving forward accomplishing what you need to do
I think I saw Karl Fisher (JapHands Kustoms) use the stand-on-hood method once or twice to put a precision bend in his hood.
I'll take that as a compliment. I am far outclassed by that dude. If it's good enough for him, it's gotta be good enough for me!
Great
dang, you making me dizzy when your walking around swinging that camera. your getting closer though
but you are getting closer to the end keep plugging away, slow and steady wins the race
unbelievable how long stuff takes
Your an inspiration for me
Awesome video , keep up the good work and post it!
looks good I really like it. maybe if you raise the rear an inch or two it would level out the hood line a bit .
NICE WORK! I like it. I'm restoring an 86 Grand Wagoneer and thinking of giving her some bigger flares. Keep the videos coming, I just subscribed!
Thanks! I'm a big fan of Wagoneers. I owned a '69 for a while, years back. I was hunting either a Wagoneer or a Travelall when I got this beast. As for flares, have you looked at the wide track Cherokee Chief or J10 trucks? I've wanted to use those flares on a Wagoneer build for a long time. I considered them for this build but again, I found a Dakota first.
I don’t like it at all and I would not ever have done that but I don’t have to like it
Great job, coming right along 👍
Looks good to me.
Good work
I think the new arches work really well
Awesome work
Thanks!
You can’t put 37’s with a wheel well like that. Silly boy.
Hard work 💪
Looks like a lot of hours of work, just for the radiator support, looks good,
The puzzle is coming together 🎉
Why not just add a couple of brackets to the side panel like you did the fender brace. Then you could use the riv nuts you already installed to stop the side panel from vibrating
It's totally doable, you are right. But I'll wait until I'm driving it and see if its really necessary. Because lazy.
I think it's cool
Easily one of my favorites of all your creations
i see you are using 1/2 inch hydraulic type air line what type of line is it thanks
I'm not sure what you mean. Are you asking brand or something else?
The line I am using is an off the shelf unit I bought from Tractor Supply Company. It had the correct threads for me to use between my tank and the Harbor Freight Compressor Head I currently have on this compressor.
The Talhoe is an amazing project, will be really cool when it's done
Thanks! I'm only about 18 months behind where I thought I would be 😁. I'm hoping to be driving it come next May, another 6 months or so.
Welcome back
Is it weird that I want to try making an RC car out of this
A brushless DC motor is what you would want
That's one way to remove the roof rack
Im definitely going to use the flange pliers idea
Thanks. Nice job. I would start with cardboard templates.
Where you located
Thanks. Looked a bit rough when you started but the finished panel is real nice. True craftsmanship.
Thanks 👍. I'm looking forward to skimming it with a bit of filler and painting it up. I hope it comes out nearly as nice in reality as it is in my head.
The holes are for the afterburners.
