I knew from the beginning that the customer is a Russian guy, who cannot return back to restore his banking app. That's a beautiful recovery job, Sorin, and I'm saying it from experience, because I once failed at data recovery job with an iPhone 12, which is a nightmare to disassemble, and even bigger one to solder the sandwich mobo back. Also, I'd really love to see a next review for tools from Temu, because there are some cheap rosin vaporizers, that make finding a short circuit so much less cumbersome compared with alcohol.
Well done Sorin, this customer would have been in real trouble without you. After over 50 years in consumer electronic repairs, the same components ie capacitors are still causing a lot of issues, so much for progress !
I actually remember Captain Kirk from Star Trek saying to his engineer, Scotty that "he is a miracle worker"..... it surely fits here as well! You are a "miracle worker" for sure!
Hello Sorin, it's a great job, you are a magnificent professional and I never get tired of watching your videos and trying to apply your knowledge. Thank you
Hi Sorin, thank very much i Learn much more, good job, but i think for this kind of device so micro Is Better to use rosin vaporizer or ice spray because of you can see immediately the faulty component that produce heat Better than thermal camera that meanwhile visualize a larger area of heat..but same result a working phone...bye Francesco Timpano from Florence Italy
Nice video, i really like your repair jobs. One things...did you try to use the heat sensor of a multimeter to pinpoint which cap is shorted? I used it a few times already and you can easily find which is the hottest part with a multimeter heat probe.
It is not clear whether Sorin has a multimeter that can test temperature. I watched all vids and never saw him do that so I would say he does not have one with that function. Or if he does he doesn't know it has that function so never tried.
It seems data recovery in the UK means something different than it does here in N America. Here it means one gets the device working enough to get the data off and that is it. The device is not necessarily usable on a day-to-day basis. Data recovery jobs are a lot more money and could indeed mean swapping CPU, memory and the storage IC to a donor board if necessary.
It's the same thing. There are several stages of data recovery. Simplest form is just fix the phone so data can be copied off by user and this is what Sorin did. Next more time consuming step is swap nand, cpu etc.
Hello I have Hp Zbook 15 g3 Xeon processor my laptop not turn on without battery, With battery work fine and charging also fine. My Hp adptor is 200w HP adptor but still without battery not working.
I have an asus gl553ve laptop , one of the screw brass insert near the battery was loose .I tried to fix it with glue , unfortunately glue stuck the screw with brass insert , need idea how can it be loosen? tried forceps ,oil ..not loosening .

Brawo Sorin. Świetna robota i cenna dla mnie wiedza!!! Dziękuję.
Unbelievable. If it was my phone I'd just hammered it. Only Sorin can repair irreparable things.
At some point we'll get a 24 hour long video of Sorin replacing all the capacitors he didn't replace in the past.
Good job mate 👏
This is awesome!! well done sorin!
Congrats Maestro!!!
we need more like this

You can also use tweezers to pry the bracket off the port and put it on the new port before soldering if you need to replace it
