Love your She Shed ❤. I had a beautiful empty picture frame on the wall for a long time. I named it “Pure Potentiality.” It is now populated with a painting for which I bartered a handwoven dish towel. ☺️ Craft On, Sister❣️
I believe you would love a mini split for heat and air. It quiet and no wiring shows. It’s off the floor. Your work bench works well for you. Just paint and decorate it. You will love it if you expand your outdoor space as well.
So beautiful! Sewing machine, books... paradise 🥰. I love books, sewing and knitting and I just knew there was not going to be yarn in there. I hope you have many blissful days there.
@@weceestyle I just looked that up - that sounds so interesting... like a serious version of the movie True Lies. I'm a Stephen King fan and have not read much in years. I just started reading The Outsider and have a couple more in that series lined up. Once done, I'm going to re-read some of my favorites like It, Needful Things, Pet Sematary, the works. I love his books - they might not be for everyone, but I've been a fan since I was 14.
Great studio space!!! Sis think about switching to a "mini split" unit that can be mounted high up on the wall over the door or maybe on the wall above where the current hv/ac unit is. They also come with a remote and can heat and cool you small space and probably for the same price as the floor unit. If you do that you can add a wall mount fold down/out table that you can us to cut and layout your fabrics then fold it away when not in use. Great job!!! You can plant your outdoor plants in grow bags and pots to acclimate them then transfer to in-ground especially as you figure out the soil issues. Also having them in containers allows you to move them inside or into a greenhouse or your garage when the weather is really cold.
Yes, many people have mentioned a mini split in the comments so I’m going to do some research and check it out. I thought about engineering an extension to my workbench to cut, but I currently use the floor and I have no problem with that. The floor provides me with more space than any table can so idk 🤷🏾♀️ I think putting my plants for outside the shed in containers is genius!! Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions! ❤️
Looks great. I'm a quilter so I would just add a comfortable level cutting area and design boards. If a seamstress, I would add a padded dress mannequin
Hi! I really admire your space. I have desired a she-she’d/sewing room of my own. My home is crowded and I can’t designate a room for myself so this is an inspiring video.
Oh wow! Pink and gold are one of my favourite combinations - imho, it feels like a French lady’s studio space…..classy and elegant. Your decor items absolutely emphasize that vibe for me. The only thing I worry about for you is that fluorescent light. They often cause terrible headaches, so please be careful with that. BTW, that little pink cart is super cute! Love your She Shed, I have a 12 x 16 and I put 12,000 BTU mini split in my shed and it is wonderful and it’s on the wall up high so you get your floor space back and there is no noise because the condenser is outside very quiet
That is awesome! I’ll definitely have to look into that. Now, are the mini splits in connection to your HVAC for your home, or is this something that can be plugged in?
It's adorable! If you paint your work bench you'll love it. My husband made me a table very similar to your work bench and I painted it white ..... whoa what a difference.❤
I love it. Wish I had a separate creative space but I live in an apartment. Enjoy it in good health. A coat of paint would work for the table top but it’s fine as is too.
Suggestions pink paint for your work station put acrylic on top or even dollar store has peel and stick wallpaper sheets 18×11 nice patterns and for heat and air, a split air system prices vary by size of room
Wow, this is beautiful, well done!! We just renovated a shed ourselves, and it's a lot of work!! 😅 So kudos to you, and I wish you lots comfy and creative energy in your space!! Much love 💖😊
I have a 10 × 16 barn style she shed with double lofts. It was my art studio but I've discovered quilting and I am trying to stuff all my supplies, sewing machines, quilting tables in there. Fortunately for my birthday, my husband put up me a greenhouse for my so my gardening tools and plants have a new home. Your shed looks so uncluttered and I was envious of your desk area, but when I came across your heating and air conditioning unit, I stopped the video and went to Amazon to check it out. I really want a mini spilt, but it isn't in my budget until fall. I have had two window units in 5 years to go bad because the heat in the summers and the humidity in Louisiana are brutal. We moved my shed under some shade trees this winter hoping that it makes a difference. Our winters are mostly mild and a space heater warms up my shed comfortably. I showed my husband your unit and it is sitting in my Amazon cart. After, this summer, my husband can use it in his shed. 😂 Lol, now I want my shed repainted and spruced up as cute as yours.
Awww thank you so much for watching! Yes, a lot of people have suggested the mini split and I don’t really want to invest that much so I’m grateful that my Serene Life is a good substitute until I can invest that much into something better. I don’t think our summers are as brutal as yours and since my space is smaller than your barn, I might be able to get away with a window unit 🤷🏾♀️ Regardless, I hope we both find suitable solutions for our She Sheds 😊 I’m excited for you to spruce up your space too! 😃
You did a great job with your space, as for a heat and cooling alternative A mini-split is electric, fits 7 foot or so on the wall, is super quite, the compressor is outside, very economical to operate, have had one for 15 years and almost no maintenance, never has had any repair cost yet. Thanks for sharing.
I can suggest paint, moldable decorative mold (ETSY), removable wallpaper, wood molding, dollar store adhesive tiles (cheap) to cover your workbench wood. Every woman should be so lucky to have a she shed. I’m loving that awesome chair!
On the workbench consider the old fashion laminate counters… I completely blanked out when looking for mine and thought of it AFTER I had replaced it. It would have been much more cost effective and they really do make higher quality beautiful ones these days!
A Mini split is a great idea, but if that can’t be done in the near future would you consider moving your bench to that corner when renovating it? This way the ac unit could be under the bench and out of the way. I know this takes your reading nook away from the window, but maybe worth considering. I am envious, I am happy for you and your creative journey!
Ok, I so envy you right now! I had to move my craft to the storage to make a room for my granddaughter but now that she is almost four years old, it would be fun to do some sewing with her and other crafts. I wonder if I should buy a metal shed and put a sheet rock, would that work😅
That could possibly work! For the amount we invested into my shed, they make sheds comparable in price that already have the sheet rock and floors installed. Happy Shopping! 😂
That would’ve been great footage, but I didn’t have a TH-cam channel then 🫤 Any work or upgrades that I do now will certainly be documented though. Thanks for watching! 😊
I love your little space, soooo cute. When my youngest moved out on his own, I made quick work of his old room. I turned it into a craft / sewing room. I love that room so much. I have recently retired and am using it so much more than I have in the past. Have you thought about painting the work bench a deeper shade of pink and putting your plastic cover back on. If I could have convinced my husband to let me repaint my craft / sewing room, I would have done it in light purple or pink. He said no, so its still a soft blue. I look forward to seeing your upgrades.
Thank you so much for sharing and congratulations on your retirement! 😊 I never gave thought to painting my workbench, but I’m definitely considering it now! Thank you for the advice!
@@weceestyleYou are very welcome. Ive been working on mine for several years. I use a bookshelf for fabric. I roll it up on pieces of cardboard. I have the cubby shelves with the bins in them. Since I too have a small tv in my room, I have a entertainment center that doubles as storage. I built me a craft table on wheels out of a cubby shelf. I am very proud of that since I did it all myself. The room will always be a work in progress because you will come up with a new idea for something. :)
Painting the work bench will brighten the space. White or a very, very pale pink would look nice. You could mix the wall paint with white to be sure the paint color looks good.
Your space is dope! Absolutely love it. Also the organization under your desk is so neat. Im such a visual person I would probably sew up a lil curtain to cover the bottom for even more sleekness. Either way it looks great!
I have a little she shed space in my home. My room is just as big as your shed. I have very little room for laying out fabric and cutting. But its cozy. I will take your suggestion, got to get things up off the floor.
This is a lovely and inviting space. I also love pink and your space has such an inviting glow. Have you looked into a mini split? I have no idea of the cost but they seem to be very popular for tiny houses and workshops. TH-cam just recommended your channel and it looks like you are doing all the things I love. Sewing, gardening and crafting. I’m subscribed.🌸
I have loved watching this video - a sheshed! Soooo jealous! I’d agree, when funds / time allow, do something with the surface of your workbench. However, it’s an important decision , so take your time and enjoy 👏👏👏
So glad I found your channel. I to love to sew and I’m a gardener! I purchased a shed and turned it into my sewing space last year I did a video on it as well. I wanna make a few changes, what type of vacuum do you use in there?❤
Oh that’s awesome! Congratulations! I’ll have to go check your video out! ♥️ I upgraded my vacuum for the shed earlier this year, and I’m currently using the Shark HV301 Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Bagless Vacuum.
Love your creative space. I have a base board heater for my she shed that works very well for ontario, Canada winter. The a/c I use a window unit which works great. Even tho I’m in Canada the summers have been very hot and humid. The window unit i found preforms better than the stand alone ones. I think because they generate heat which then has to be vented out the window and they seem to not be as noisy because some of that goes out the windows too. I was shocked. I thought the newer stand alone who work better. Maybe it just the model I had but I went old school a/c and very happy. Also in the heat of the summer I have one window that really streams in the sun and I put I a black out curtain which helps considerably. I am blessed with 3 windows total so blocking one isn’t a problem. Like you I don’t have too much in my fridge. I’m a tea lover so it holds milk and Brita water for my dogs water bowl 😂 I also have a Tupperware of nuts and usually an apple and yogurt for snacks. Sometimes I get so busy I forget to eat. So it’s nice to have something quick to grab.love your plants. Mine didn’t like winter on the shed because I turn down the temp at night. I do so many things in my shed. I have power tools and furniture paint any sewing supplies. I upcycled our entertainment centre from the basement and made it into shed storage. One idea that I found was if you want water for cleaning up or just washing your hands I have a big jug(from a water cooler) I fill it with the hose and move it into the shed. Bought a battery operated pump off Amazon that sits on top. Works great. Have had it 6 months and only charged it twice. I don’t drink that water it’s just to tiding up. I put a bucket to catch the extra then just pour that outside. Another idea I’m not sure if you might need it but I have a luggable loo 🚽 for pp breaks. It basically a Home Depot size bucket with a toilet lid that closes. It’s been a game changer. Put a bit of vinegar in the bottom to cut the smell. Don’t put paper in and dump outside or in the toilet. I looked at composting toilets etc and this is what I decided on. Easy to clean. If you like tea or coffee I really get a lot of use out of my mug warmer. I originally bought it for a candle warmer but has proved invaluable for keeping tea warm while I sew. I tend to forget to drink it then it’s cold but not with this $5 item. God send. Enjoy your new space. Look forward to watching more of your videos. 😍
Wow! You’ve given me so many ideas and things to consider! I’ve seen those baseboard heaters and that would be my first choice to replace my current heater, and I’ve been suggested a window unit several times so I think that’s the next move too! Yes, I find myself getting too busy and forgetting to eat too so I definitely could get some nuts and yogurt for sure. 😂 Water supply and a toilet are the last things I need for ultimate survival 😂 I saw camping sinks that I could put right outside the shed, but I like the idea of your bottle pump. And a candle warmer would be a great use too for not only my candles, but for keeping my coffee warm! Thank you so much! You’ve provided me with a ton of great ideas and advice! ❤️
I had a long winter to plan and research for my shed and I don’t have little ones to distract anymore. They are in their 20’s. My family and friends were very helpful but prob tired of hearing about my shed obsession. 😂 I lived in Louisiana for a few years and the old house only had window ac units. It was very effective. I was shocked when my kids went to university got and apartment and needed ac I was told they didn’t allow window units. So I bought a stand alone from Costco. Wasn’t cheap. The thing put off so much heat from its motor and was so loud. I look forward to following your journey and happy creating. 😘❤️
Fridge, sewing supplies, plants, reading nook, has everything I would ever need! Love it!❤❤

What a great creative she shed- love it! Enjoy your space ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow, this is beautiful, well done!! We just renovated a shed ourselves, and it's a lot of work!! 😅 So kudos to you, and I wish you lots comfy and creative energy in your space!! Much love 💖😊
Thank you 🥰 and same to you!
I have this size shed. You have given me some great ideas for what to. Thank you!
Awesome! I love reading that! Thank you for watching! ❤️
What a beautiful she shed! I look forward to having one someday.
Thank you! 😊 I’m truly grateful to have this space, and I wish the same for you really soon ❤️
I’ll look into that! Thank you for the suggestion! 💜
I can suggest paint, moldable decorative mold (ETSY), removable wallpaper, wood molding, dollar store adhesive tiles (cheap) to cover your workbench wood. Every woman should be so lucky to have a she shed. I’m loving that awesome chair!
Thanks for the tips! I’m interested in what the Dollar Store adhesive tiles look like 🤔 I’m going to pay a visit tomorrow
Love your shed. What an awesome sewing space
Thank you so much 🙏🏾
I really love your space! I’ve always wanted a crafting shed.
Thank you! I'm truly grateful to have this space and I don't take it for granted. I hope you'll be able to have your crafting shed one day.
Details on purchasing the sleeper chair please. I love it!
I included the link to the Sleeper Chair in the description 😊
OK, got it! Thanks.
On the workbench consider the old fashion laminate counters… I completely blanked out when looking for mine and thought of it AFTER I had replaced it. It would have been much more cost effective and they really do make higher quality beautiful ones these days!
That’s a great suggestion! Thank you! I’ll look into that! 😌
Possibly! Thanks so much! ❤️
So nice. I would love a, she shed. I knit and crochet. I am planning on making quilts for dolls. I also live in a camper and have limited space. ❤
That sounds like fun and I’m so intrigued by tiny living! Thank you for watching! ☺️
Oooohhĥhh, i love it. What a sanctuary😊
Yes!!! Such a sanctuary! I’m so grateful for this space! 🙏🏾
What a great space, love the pink!
Thank you so much! 😊
Nicccce ❤ I love it, thanks for sharing … giving me ideas for my new shed😊
Awesome! I’m happy I could help! Thank you for watching! 😊
The space looks great! Would've loved to see more videos footage of the conversion work.
That would’ve been great footage, but I didn’t have a TH-cam channel then 🫤 Any work or upgrades that I do now will certainly be documented though. Thanks for watching! 😊
It’s fab, well done that lady 👏👏👏
Thank you! 🙏🏾
That’s a wonderful suggestion! Thank you! 😊
I just love your shed! Great job!
Thanks so much! ❤️
Your space is dope! Absolutely love it. Also the organization under your desk is so neat. Im such a visual person I would probably sew up a lil curtain to cover the bottom for even more sleekness. Either way it looks great!
Oohhh 😮 I LOVE this idea!! Never even thought of that before! Thank you so much! ❤️
I have a little she shed space in my home. My room is just as big as your shed. I have very little room for laying out fabric and cutting. But its cozy. I will take your suggestion, got to get things up off the floor.
I’m happy to help! Thanks for watching! ♥️
Thank you so much! ☺️ A lot of ppl have mentioned a mini split so I’m going to look into it. Glad to have you here ❤️ Thank you for watching!
That’s very impressive you did great!
Thank you! I truly appreciate that ❤️
I have loved watching this video - a sheshed! Soooo jealous! I’d agree, when funds / time allow, do something with the surface of your workbench. However, it’s an important decision , so take your time and enjoy 👏👏👏
Thank you so much and yes, I absolutely agree with you!
Beautiful space and love the color pink because I love Pink 💗💗💗
Yessssss!!! Love a good shade of pink 😂
Great space it's functional and cute a win win
Thank you! I'm so grateful to have this space!
Thais is beautiful. I’m using our guest room as my sewing space. I love that satin pothos.
Thank you! 😊 The Satin Pothos is probably my favorite houseplant. Isn’t it a great feeling to have a dedicated space to sew? I’m so grateful
Great space well organized was thinking of doing the same
Thank you! I’m sure your space will be great!
