Very envious, No way will the fabric stash diminish, saw some lovely space in the eaves to hide fabric !!! 😂 Honestly, an amazing space and love the extra roof lights
I keep thinking about a shed. I’m not happy with my current space, but I have more space than a lot of my crafting friends. I got spoiled by the last two craft/sewing spaces I had.
Congratulations on your new space! I am absolutely jealous. I cut fabric on my living room floor, sew in my kitchen, press/iron in entryway and do everything else either on the floor or the coffee table. Pure chaos. Having a dedicate space is going to be awesome. And thanks for addressing the window situation. I was worried for your fabrics.
I can completely empathize with your situation. At one point I was going upstairs to iron (which definitely didn't encourage me to iron 😒). But I think it's amazing that despite the space, you still make things!
When I designed my new crafting/sewing room last year, I made sure everything has either wheels or sliders so I could easily move everything around for versatility & cleaning. Congratulations on your new studio! I’m loving mine ☺️. BTW big glue traps work great to catch creepy crawlers or even mice which inevitably find their way in.
Well, if you've just done all that, I should get my arse in gear and finish some trousers I started in April! Fascinating build, congratulations on the new space and here's to new projects.
No wonder you’ve been AWOL - that’s a huge job you’ve accomplished. It looks fantastic and I’m sure it will inspire you. As an owner of an almost permanent trash highway myself, I’m dead envious. 🤣
I keep shifting it around while trying to get everything else together. Pretty soon I think the whole outer wall is going to be covered and it'll turn into a trash speedway!
I used those rubber/foam workshop floor puzzle pieces. They're super cheap and easily replaceable, and provide a little insulation so the floor doesn't get super cold. Also, I can lay fabric out on the floor and pin directly into the foam and I don't feel bad if I spill anything on it.
Awesome space and fantastic work! 🎉 Go you! So looking forward to seeing what creativity a dedicated bespoke workspace frees up. It feels like room to think and make and play. And yep, however silly it looks, if it works for you, it ain’t silly. 🌻🛼🪁
“…drywall is the devil”…omg I was dying! Congratulations such a cool well deserved space. May you have many fruitful creative adventures 🌷
What a genius idea, to line all the walls with pegboard!!! 👍🏻
I've dreamed of that for a while so this was the perfect opportunity

I may or may not have leather up there now 😳
That made me laugh so much 😂

I'm in love with my space. It's an absolute disaster but it's MY disaster and doesn't bother anyone else. I can't recommend it highly enough!
That is "sew" 🤭 awesome.. Great job, exciting.. I look forward to your videos 😄
I'm always tempted to put a "sew" counter in my vids; I find myself saying it A LOT!! 🤣
Sewing Space Goals!!! It's AMAZING!. Great job 🎉
How exciting for you. Can’t wait to see the finished space

How fantastic! I can't wait to see the finished space and what you will create there.
I can't wait to share it (once I figure out the rest of it)!

Oof, my unfinished pile is...overwhelming. Best of luck to you!
I have to only allow myself one project at a time, otherwise I get overwhelmed and finish nothing.
Late to the video, took a break from TH-cam. So excited for you! love it!!!!!
I love the music you use
Proud of you. Looks great.
What a lovely space! Your hard work definitely paid off!

Katie, I am so inspired. I am in the process of designing the shed I am going to order for sewing. How big a shed did you start with?
This is 14'x24' and after a year it's busting at the seams. But I love it SO SO much!
I love your space, what about heat?
I installed a mini-split that does both air conditioning and heating. It works really well for the space in both warmer and cooler temps.
Beautiful! What did you put on the floor? Congrats!

And I'm okay with embracing the silly! Sometimes it helps balance the bad!
