    I ordered BloxSport spacers for my 2019 Tesla Model 3. I used 25mm spacers in the rear and 20mm spacers in the front to get a nice flush fitment with the lightweight stock 18" Aero wheels. It looks amazing and handles great too!! Please make sure to watch the entire video for important information regarding the install, re-torquing, etc. This video is aimed toward beginners who may not have the right tools or knowledge needed to do the job easily. Hopefully this video helps everyone who desires a flush fitment to safely install high quality spacers on their Model 3.

    Install begins at 12:44 if you don't need all the introductory info on tools, jack puck, etc. CORRECTION: 129 ft lbs spacer to car, 105 ft lbs wheel to spacer

      Thank you for this detailed video and this clarification. I came to the comments to ask about these torque specs👍
      Questions: did you have any issues with either torque spec? 129 or 105 wheel to spacer? Any long term issues?
      Will be installing mine ina few days 😎

      @@knight2386 I didn't run into any issues but after this video I chrome plated my wheels so when I took them off and put them back on I corrected to torque.

      @@ryan.vision thanks for the reply. I've seen a fair bit of conflicting information on the torque specs on the interwebs but what you posted above appears to be what is intended from my research.
      Thanks again keep up the good work 👍

      @@knight2386 the most important thing to remember is after driving with the spacers for a bit, take the wheels off and retorque the spacers. Then put the wheels back on, and check the wheels again after driving a bit more. You want to make sure the spacers and the wheels are both retorqued initially

    A very thorough video Ryan. I've watched quite a few as I have a set of Blox Sport spacers on the way to me for my Jag XK, you are the first person I've watched who quite rightly suggests checking the spacer nuts after a few hundred miles but it just occurred to me, is it ok to use threadlock? Or is that a bad idea? Anyone?

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know people in the off road world who use thread lock on spacers but I don't recall which color lock is appropriate.

    Have you encountered any issues with Autopilot/FSD? Has it affected the efficiency (MPGe) in anyway? Thanks for the video!

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will likely affect range a bit just like removing the aero covers does. I haven't noticed much difference though. Autopilot still works just as before, no issues at all. Mainly for me it just made things look better appearance wise. I also ended up chroming my factory wheels.

    Good video, but you don't have to use star pattern to loosen lugnuts, just for tightening.

    Hi any vibration at higher speeds after the spacer install? Are they smooth, meaning can you even tell they were installed?

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No vibrations. They are balanced so as long as your tires/wheels are also properly balanced, you shouldn't have any vibrations after install. I've driven well over 100 with the spacers installed and no vibrations at any speed.

    I’d highly recommend a realignment after doing aggressive spacers.

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry just seeing this now. I've had the spacers on about a year now with no alignment done afterward. Haven't noticed any issues, still tracks straight. Angle and direction of wheels is unchanged, they're just further out by a few mm. These cars do have a bit of camber from the factory so the inside of the tires will wear a bit more than the outside.

      You dont need to do that if you use max 20-25mm ones

    Have you noticed any range loss/gain? Any noticeable change in driving and handling dynamics?

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not the typical Tesla owner in that I have zero concern about the efficiency haha I know that sounds funny but I have an owned solar system and a short commute so I just hot rod this thing around without caring too much about how much juice it's using. With that said, I do know my friend who is all about range/efficiency noticed a difference with just removing the aero wheel covers so I would imagine pushing the wheels out flush with or even wider than the fenders would create a bit of aerodynamic drag and probably decrease range/efficiency a bit. I did notice the car feels more planted in turns. Other than that, normal driving feels the same. This was mostly a for looks mods for me personally.

      RYANVISION Thanks for the response, it does look much better with the wheels pushed out!

    Did you torque both sets of lugs to 129? I think I read the spacers torque spec is like 105 while the wheel lugs are 129. Thanks

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did 129 on both initially but later torqued spacer to car with 129 and wheels to spacers at 105 or so. 129 on wheel to spacer felt a bit too tight like it might eventually stretch or snap a stud.

  • @superfly2323
    @superfly2323 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    did your front spacers come with 2 sets of lugs? Mine came with a small lug and a larger one that looks like the back one. If yours did which one did you use?

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My front and rear spacers only came with 1 set of lugs which were threaded onto the spacer studs for shipping. I used those lugs to mount the spacer to the car, and my factory Tesla lugs to mount the wheels to the spacers.

    • @s13silviaman
      @s13silviaman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My 15mm spacers came with 2 sets of lugs as well. I haven’t installed them yet, but I plan to use the larger size that matches the set that came with the rear.

    Hey Ryan, i got the same spacers and torqued the spacers and the wheels up to 129 and am experiencing slight creaking when i fully turn the front wheels. Wondering if you had this problem

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't noticed any creaking. Is this only when you're stopped or also while driving? Maybe the wheel is contacting something like a loose wheel well liner?

    • @dhruvapatel3821
      @dhruvapatel3821 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      RYANVISION it’s both, although it’s significantly worse when standing. Also it’s primarily on the left side. I also took the wheels off after 150ish miles and retorqued the spacers and wheels to 129. Still have this issue though
