I would suggest a NAS drive setup, if you get one will more than one drive, you can have drive redundancy and it can automatically backup to backblaze. As mentioned below, follow the 3-21 principle, 2 physical copies and 1 in the cloud, or stored at another location.

Remember that Online storage is not backup if your files on your computer gets currupted or other file crypting virus. It also destroys the files to the cloud if it is connected to the computer. Use 2 onsite backups at home and 1 offsite. It is important to save files in places that is only connected to the computer when backups are copied. I have seen too many times people whos dropbox or onedrive "backup" failed.

If you're tech savvy enough you can build your own NAS using TrueNAS.

I've had 3 WD drives all fail recently including a Time Machine drive. Have been advised by a recovery service to use Toshiba drives. HDD.s are easier to recover than a failed SDD.

In over 30 years of using Macs, 1 have only lost 3 hard drives due to drive failure. Since the beginning I have always had multiple backups so I never lost any files.
In my current setup, all my photos and editing software are on an external SSD drive independent of the internal operating system drive, along with an identical external SSD drive to back up on a set schedule using Carbon Copy Cloner software. Additionally, i send a backup to my iCloud daily and an additional weekly backup to an external HD which I copy and bring to my office for offsite storage.
This might all sound too paranoid to some but you won't know what a catastrophe this could be until it happens to you.
    Another useful video and lesson.
