I also did this landing today in MSFS but what I did differently is that I got closer to the ground as possible before the last leg. You got too high which is a bit unstable as an approach. You can check mine in my shorts. ☺️

Shouldn't that cause more disruption on the ground though? And mean less chance to recover from any mechanical failure? Why not just take the steep landing instead?

If his approach was unstable because he was too high, yours was even more unstable because you were way off the centreline on short final. Just saying.
