I wonder how many of us here would still be breathing if we stuck an aquarium where there once was the wife's closet space? You're a lucky man, Ed. She's a keeper. Tank looks fabulous, by the way.
I think even Joanna would draw the line at a closet conversion. Haha

Tank envy!! Live on 2nd floor in old building! Bummer!! I did have a 140 that I mixed cichlids in like that and had no issues. Ran it for 5 years and was very happy as well as fish healthy and calm!
I wish I could get a tank that size into my basement!

It was mentioned that people ask if the tank is a salt water. I get that with my discus tank. Great video. Beautiful tank and fish.🐠👍
Discus can definitely hold their own against saltwater fish!

Super cool tank! You should clean up the look of the equipment though. Hide the heaters or straighten them at least. Lol!

Love it! That design would hold the weight of a Bus. The fish mix is awesome hope it works out. I thought of trying to mix cichlids like that but was afraid it wouldn’t work out. If it were me the background would be black. It helps hide the heaters, hoses etc since they are black. To each his own! Enjoy.
Ya, the supports on the stand are double 2x6s. :-) Should do well.

The build is really nice. But, in my opinion, the tank in itself, is not aesthetically pleasing. I don’t know if it is the light blue background, the aquascape, the substrate....
That's the great thing about the aquarium hobby - people get to make their tanks how they want them based on their tastes! :-)
Prime Time Aquatics Sure! I always go for a bamboo forest kind of vibe because thats my taste, but this kind of look is totally valid too.
@@afonso1816 me too. How they could keep up with the mix is hands down spectacular, the fish are awesome but the tank, I don't know what to pinpoint which is wrong but somethings not right haha

Such a nice tank & beautiful fish! How long did it take to cycle that big of a tank?
We let it cycle a week but we also had good bacteria from my previous tank

That might be one of the OB cichlids.

Sir why dont u keep monster fishes like flowerhorn, arowana, catfishes, etc.?
For me it's mostly because I can't get larger tanks into my basement. :-)

What fish was that at 3:04? Center screen it looks like a Black Crappie.
That is a Polleni cichlid from Madagascar. They can be very aggressive. :-)

I whould put small schooling fish in it and plant it and that whould be a whole world for them
Most cichlid tanks need to be overstocked to prevent aggression - that's why you see a very calm tank right now with no fin-nipping and no fish hiding in a corner.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Not to mention what would happen to live plants! I was digging the purple on those artificial plants! 💜 My aquarium in a planted tank with lots of manzanita branches but appropriate fish dwell within....
Because his fish are smaller, his 210 looks way bigger than my 210 🤣
Ya, some of those fish are going to grow to about a foot! :-)
