I am a carpenter, I have this gen 3 Dewalt and I love it ,nice and compact and well balanced. The nailer has plenty of power and doesn't jam and it is cheap and is easy to fix so I've heard.
I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.
I appreciate your video. When looking up reviews on youtube, I could only find fresh out of the box, brand new reviews. Of course it'll work great brand new. But when searching reddit, people complained about the proud issue. So I'm glad I found this video burried underneath all the others.
They were proud, because of the bounce of the board. It’s true the dewalt doesn’t have the power of hitachi or Milwaukee, but any nailer will leave proud nails if the wood is bouncing.
I did notice that with mine you have to have a stern grip on it or it'll bounce and not drive it as deep. And they send extra spring hammers because nail guns do wear out eventually under heavy use or misuse . Mine jams plastic coated sometimes but it's a pretty easy fix. Takes less than 5 seconds if you expect it . Just push the hammer back and you're good to go.
With Senco air nailers, I always could put the full clips in and if it was a few short from one more clip, slide it in the back in a ready position, then after I've used a few nails, pull the spring feeder back, they go right over the strip behind it and locks in the last full clip.
The issue your having with the nailer is the return springs need replacing, they have most likely brroken and dont have the strength to pull the pin back into position. I had the same issue and they are easy to change out, iv had mine for years now and is way more beat then yours and the springs have been my only issue iv had with it.
Dude, I don't know where you got your nail gun from. But I've had one for about 3 and a 1/2 years now and inthat 3 and a 1/2 years. I might have had 3 nails that didn't shoot all the way. And I may have have had 2 jams.
Uhm. Im a begginer of this kind of tools. I would like to ask if this framing nailer can nail wood to concrete? or do I need a specific nailer gun for concrete? I hope someone can answer my question. Thanks 😁
surprised to see no comments. on any video anywhere. so FIRST! i've had bad luck with dewalt and milwaukee nailers. inconsistent and always needing some kind of service. Hitachi is the way to go or stay pneumatic.

Thats is the nicest looking 2 or 3 year old nailer I have ever seen... Looks like its rightout of the box...

Saw it on both ends

This is the main complaint and is 100% user error. Lift some weights, keep the gun from recoiling, and make sure your work is sturdy.

Load a fresh strip of 25, shoot a couple studs and load in another strip of 25. No need to tear off any.
your comprehension skill or your ability to pay attention is amusing.
Or place 25 nail strip in, fire a couple of nails, and then add second nail strip?
Brand new - 150 nails or so and it stopped driving them in all the way. Cost me more on the job than the tool was worth...
Anyone know if DeWalt is coming out with a New 21° Framing Nailer anytime soon ????
I heard they're coming out with a compressed air using hydrogen instead of nitrogen, co2 or air
@@loucifer4205Theyre finally out now and they changed very little. Basically took a lbs or two off the weight and made it a bit faster.
I have 3 of these and none work properly. They jamb, refuse to fire and don't sink nails. I am a contractor and don't have time to screw with them.
How stupid of Dewalt to not have the brains to make the mag hold 2 strips of nails

This one cannot. Dewalt does make one. It’s DCN890
@@4thewinakthanks for the info. I really appreciate it :)

Thanks
That's odd
neumatic way to go
You need a better test bench to much bonce on the end it makes the nail gun not drive correctly !
I lost my tip already too lol
I had a 15 g hikoki and there was zero jams and zero sunk , it came highly rated but was junk. All nail guns are problematic
