    Thanks for this video, It's inspired me to get out and just drive the car and stop obsessing about cleanining and polishing it, and worrying about it getting damaged or stolen. I'm sure Mr Abarth himself would approve.

    My 2009 is on 107k miles and I've had to spend quite a bit on replacing parts already. They used a lot of standard 500 parts on them which can't take the stress so well :/
    There are a few common failure points. It's worth replacing the end of the gear selector cable (for the solid metal one off the Punto) because the rubber bush on that will eventually fail and cause a breakdown. The pipes from the oil seperator and the small rubber one from the turbo return will go brittle due to heat and crumble away too.
    Mine is also my daily though :)

    Looking at getting an Essesse when I *fingers crossed* pass my test this year. Good to see a review from someone who has thoroughly used it! Majority of the pre-facelift Abarth's have the Dynaudio system, was wondering if this is any good?

    I bought a U.S. '12 Sport last year with 124k miles on it. I didn't bat an eye for I've seen Hondas for decades now with twice that on the clock & still running strong. I figured FIAT had to be somewhere close to that to be competitive. I now have 128k on the clock a year later, & even with Multiair (not that Multiair is bad), I've had no major concerns. The engine runs fine. Now, that said, although the gearhead in me likes the turbo versions, the complexity of them & extra plumbing & tight packaging leaves me uninterested at my age. It's doubtful I would have bought a turbo version FIAT with as many miles as the non-turbo one I bought.

      @@RichReviews_ Or you could be a knob about pretty fair criticism. To be straight, the in car audio is awful. You own a 458 but not a simple £20 wireless lapel mic. Love the Fiat.

    • @RichReviews_
      @RichReviews_  ปีที่แล้ว

      The in car audio is not awful at all. I can clearly be heard above the road noise. We own an extensive amount of camera kit, including lavalier mics, however we often choose to use the audio straight from the in car GoPro as it does the job absolutely fine. You’re the first to criticise it.
