I find blizzard videos irresistible for some reason. I really liked it when the house lights came on that nice street. People got out there and cleaned that snow off the entire street, not just their own house or car. Great teamwork!
But they only moved huge amount to the center or parking. That's all they done. All the snow were taken away by heavy machines. Without it they would stuck till summer in that huge snow drift they made in this "teamwork".
I remember this storm... I live in Maryland as well and I remember walking outside and sledding down my backyard hill as the snow fell down in a complete utter silence. I love snow so much. The silence when it's snowing is beautiful. I don't know how this turned to me fangirling over snow but it did.

Careful what you wish for ... as a 65 years old Canadian I have seen more snow than I ever want to see. It might look like fun at the start but it's really a pain in the ass because it disrupts your mobility and daily life. - shovel snow out of your driveway for 15-30 minutes before you can get out of your driveway in the morning. - clean up the snow off your car (and de-ice your windshield/rear window) for 5-10 minutes. - warm up your car hoping the battery hasn't died overnight because of the cold. - Get stuck in horrendous traffic because the roads have not been fully cleared out yet. Yeah, lots of fun before you go to work in the morning ... then if it snows during the day, you need to shovel again when you get home at night so you can get in your driveway. A lot of us hire local contractors ($$$) to clean out our driveway, it just makes our life easier. Do that several times a year then tell me if you like snow.
