Oh, yes this was a fun snow storm .....these deep ones are especially fun on my street which is long straight dead end street - one winter storm dumped so much snow there was no plowing of the snow - the county brought in an excavator and big dump trucks to get the now out - another year, when they brought in a front end loader and if there were any empty parking spaces the piled the snow there (not empty for long - heh heh) the driver also asked property owners at certain points along the road it it was ok for them to pile snow on the grass strip along the curb AND on the sidewalk......they had to put it somewhere or else we would have never gotten our cars off the street - heck by the time the county equipment made it onto our street most of us had already dug out our cars clean down to the road surface and some of us had even dug the street clean to the center - man did we have a lot of snow on our front yards!
Yeah I live there too and it was fun. One year in the 90's it snowed so often and so much and never melted till May. We dug pathways and a special snow shelf with scooped out areas to place out trash cans. Snow was way over our kids heads where it was piled up, like 50".
joelshack85 ok and ? It makes sense if the south doesn’t have a climate that’s typical of snow and therefore wouldn’t have access to all the equipment to keep the roads safe , as why purchase it if you live in a region that hardly ever gets snowfall ? I get the humor but just saying . It’s a legit reason when people who aren’t able to be as prepared in a different environment react to hardly any snow . There’s no need for snow tires or the road Equip. But next to never . Makes sense imo lol 😂. What I don’t get is why when weather gets bad , people hurry to the store for milk , eggs and bread .. what are they making ? Haha
I remember the Baltimore blizzard of 1978-79. It was New Year Eve. I was babysitting for relatives that night & the parents came to pick them up by 2:00 am. The snow drifts we're already two feet high. Thank God they only lived across the street. By 10:00 am the snow was 3 feet deep even in the street, not to mention the snow drifts being 4 feet deep. This all happened in a 1/2 of a day time frame. I lived on McEldery st. & Monford Ave. I was walking out in the middle of the street with a 4 year old on my hip. I got stuck & had to be pulled out. Just to get her father from the bar. . All the Monument st. stores got looted for everything they had. People were carrying furniture & TV's you name it, they stole it. No cars could move so the cops were helpless to stop them.
I wouldn't even waste my time cleaning my vehicle off, especially if I'm not going anywhere. That person cleaned their car off 3-4 times and didn't even go anywhere.
I think the reason they cleared it off was to off load the suspension. water and snow are not light when you get a lot of it. that or it stops it from icing over as badly as if you just left it
@@cailco100 the snow on the car would not harm the suspension. Do you even know how much a car weights, how much people weigh. And that little bit of snow is not going to cause structure damage either. Like I said, it's a waste of time.
For those who scoff at Baltimore puny snowfalls, some facts. The 2010 was the 2 storms back-to-back that our wonderful President Obama called Snowmagedon . Had to rent snow melting machines from Canada to get rid of the snow. Jan 2016 29.2" Feb 2003 26.8" Jan 1996 26.6" Jan 1922 26.5" Feb 5-6 2010 25" Feb 9-10 2010 19.5" Feb 1983 22.8
Why is the main driveway for that development not being cleared. A guy trying to get his car out had to literally shovel part of the driveway up to where the plow cleared it, to be able to get out to the street. Where's that complex's maintenance crew.
It was nice to see how alot of the community got together to shovel the snow? A lot of the time people dont communicate with eachother, but in times like this we come together!

And at 0:07 is enough snow to cause mass chaos in The south!!
joelshack85 ok and ? Haha
Kri MD they go to the store bc the weather and news people scare them into rushing to the store.
Kri MD **like you said they don’t have the equipment to properly deal with the conditions so they just fear monger people to stay inside and at home.
Wow.. 6:00 the clouds moving mad fast when its cleared. Then when the moon is out and lowering. Looks so cool.. earth really is amazing.
For such a large complex, it’s surprising they didn’t plow sooner.
Must be a nightmare living in them flats....no one ever leaves their parking spot !
Snowplow took forever to show up and didn't even finish the job lol ... where I live they'd have plows going during and after the snow was done
Beautiful timelapse 😍
1:29 Dude was shoveling for nothing 😂
I wouldn't even waste my time cleaning my vehicle off, especially if I'm not going anywhere. That person cleaned their car off 3-4 times and didn't even go anywhere.
I think the reason they cleared it off was to off load the suspension. water and snow are not light when you get a lot of it. that or it stops it from icing over as badly as if you just left it
@@cailco100 the snow on the car would not harm the suspension. Do you even know how much a car weights, how much people weigh. And that little bit of snow is not going to cause structure damage either.
Like I said, it's a waste of time.
Great video. I want snow like that this year 2019/2020. So glad I now have a garage and don't have to clean off my car like that.
For those who scoff at Baltimore puny snowfalls, some facts. The 2010 was the 2 storms back-to-back that our wonderful President Obama called Snowmagedon . Had to rent snow melting machines from Canada to get rid of the snow.

Why is the main driveway for that development not being cleared. A guy trying to get his car out had to literally shovel part of the driveway up to where the plow cleared it, to be able to get out to the street. Where's that complex's maintenance crew.
Wow that is a lot of snow. I almost wish I could experience that in Detroit. I suppose for some it is not fun
Greetings from Scotland, I feel sorry for the poor Bam with the little snowblower getting nowhere lol .Cheers
