I like that the curls are consistent looking with the automatic barrel...I have hair more than halfway down my back, so I feel it'd save me some time with the twirling too lol

I would say they are fundamentally different things. The air wrap is more like a salon blowout mixed with a curling iron, the curl wrap provides the traditional curling iron look with consistency because the curls are automatic!! Hope that's helpful!
