I have a question. Do these companies ask you to install software in your pc in order to do the job? I'm looking for job vacancies and my concern is that they use specialized software for which Windows is mandatory.
@@abrahammartinez3603 that is possible especially for remote work. as to what kind of software, it really depends on the needs of the company so I suggest make sure you are aware of it and maybe ask for other options if possible.

I'm a fresh graduate and I applied for content moderation as my first ever job. I'm still waiting for my onboarding and currently searching what does it take to become a content moderator. I'm somehow used to dark side of different online platforms, well except for violence which I don't really like to watch, so I hope that it could somehow help me through this job. I'm nervous at the same time excited, but I'm well aware of everything you've said ma'am. I just hope that my mental health wouldn't be affected by all of those contents that I'll be seeing.

Please take care of yourself and your mental health. It is very difficult for a psychologically healthy person to deal with some of the dark content that sociopaths, psychopaths, sadists, and malignant narcissists post.

To my understanding the job is based upon those pending procedures when you try to upload a picture or a video and you actually have to wait because content is under review. English c1, internet 24/7 online, gaming friendly, higher degree obtained. How techie I need to be? What are most difficult tasks? Thank you
Back in the early years since You tube first launched. I have watched tons of graphic videos. It makes the channel as part of releasing my dark emotions by watching those videos. It's a kind of like watching horror movies and I'm a big fan of horror movies.

I apply for content moderation job both in BPO and V.A. kaso they give me some exam which I was not familiar at hindi ko alam saan nila hinugot yung tanong na yun. Theres a letter and number on the choices but I don't know kung ano iyon kaya namili na lang ako. Like if there is harrasmanent post will I plug it? If I will plug it which plug is it? As someone na struggling talaga sa Customer Service in general (sa Email and Back-Office talaga ako may edge), I really want to secure this role. I know na may kaakibat na risk itong content moderation, but maybe because of my personal experiences with social media and the like, feel ko na may edge ako sa content moderation. Parang ganito ba yan, like bago ma post sa public ang gusto mong ma post, ang mga content moderators ang mag checheck if walang harmful dito? Mejo hirap ako iexplain pero sana gets.
If naflag siya based sa report then doon lang papasok ang moderator if it’s removeable or magstay sa platform.

Your right this job is very risky, You need to have a very strong stomach to handle this job. I have relatives who used to work as content moderator but they didnt even last long, Because they cant handle graphic videos , child porn , and animal abuse.
They’re just exaggerating things don’t take it too much.

I do have a JO already about this position. But I'm afraid if this job suits me. I've seen a lot of video related about being a content moderator and it said that being a content moderator you have to watch different videos like explicit/child pornography, killing and random videos that's not applicable to all end users. 😅

Talk about your competencies, and give example for each competence.
Talk about a time when you took initiative.
Talk about an experience when you where creative.
If you are a native english then you will be good. If not you should be able to have a conversation in english because from my experience i think what matters most for them is your ability to talk in english. PS : I applied for the position of content moderator in english

They are usually from BPO companies too.There are instances that they hire content moderators along with other accounts.
Yeah, every time I apply for a remote job, I get redirected to factory jobs or fast food. As someone with crippling social anxiety, I envy people who can get these jobs easily. I mean, I already have a job, but still. I'd quit in a heartbeat for a remote job.

Di naman lahat ng content na nakikita ay gore, pornography o suicide content. Mas mag aalala ka pa nga sa pag dedesisyon mo kung labag ba sa policy at rules nila ang content na nakita mo. Kailangan mabilis kang mag desisyon pero dapat batay sa policy nila. Base sa karanasan ko.
Sa position na to kailngan din po ba magaling mag english?

Medyo makapal din muka ng mga company halos lahat 20k-25k package lang ang offer.Hindi naman sa pagiging entitled pero man sobrang challenging ng post na to.Hindi worth sa 25k/month. Total exploitation ng Filipino work force.
