Such typical weather in Lansing. Seems like it's almost always cloudy and gray, except maybe in mid-summer. But, it still brings back great memories.

Its hard to identify a lot of cars because the film is dark and grainy but its at least 1968.

It is Clifford St. I lived at 427 S Clifford st directly across the street from the entrance to Hunter Park. Swam there every summer for $0.10 cents. Use to have to sit on the long wooden benches to get in. Went to Allen St School too. Although I don't live in MI anymore it is fun to look back in time. St. Lawrence Hospital is where I was born. My mom worked there, then Sparrow, and my Uncle worked at Lansing General. Was there in August 2017 and went to the Lansing mall. I still remember when that was built. Holy crap i'm old....

I really enjoy these videos. I try to figure out where they are in the city. A couple of days ago I was on Michigan Avenue and I was amazed with all of the Loft Apartments. If you haven't been down town in the past few years. You wouldn't recognize it. Keep putting out these videos... ❤️❤️

I-496 from Lansing Rd (present day exit 4) to Trowbridge Rd at exit 9 prior to being built was M-78 and M-78 turned up to Saginaw St East of the city all the way to Downtown Flint. M-78 ran concurrent with US 27 west of present day I-496/US 127 & Trowbridge Rd interchange where US 27 departs north at future US 127. M-78 turned southwest on Lansing Rd (later Temp I-69).

My parents bought a house in 1968 on Bancroft CT. In Lansing between Genesee St and Saginaw. Some of us kids worked at Bob's Fruit Market on Saginaw across white spot bar. Thanks for sharing. Brought back fond memories.

Several of those buildings around the tracks on Kalamazoo St are long gone.

@@brianwilson6403 Yup they were in middle tearing down about 900 Houses and Businesses from 1967-1973. This for 496(800 of them) and rest were from Michigan, Grand River Washington to Saginaw and most in between. Just old enough at time see second half of this Demo and opening on 496
