REALLY good review, I feel. I'm glad I ended this show with such a solid video. Apologies that the Spider-Man 2 review wasn't made, my fault, but I hope you enjoyed Cooper's Perspective despite the various issues and problems it may have caused.

I think Toby Maguire was the perfect Spider-Man for me in my childhood, it was inspiring and motivating, empowering, I could go on and on. The games were good to, to roleplay in or for the story.
The oscorp level was also very scary for me xD
This game (plus the sequel) is one you can recommend to people who were bothered by how Spider-Man didn't crack a lot of quips in the Sam Raimi films, because Mr. Maguire's Spidey dishes them out left and right here.
I don't get why whether or not he jokes mattes, not to mention Spiderman 2 was one of the best, if not the best superhero game ever.

But the only person who actually cared from the movie who voice acted in this game was William Dafoe. The rest just wanted a paycheck.

I'm right there with you on the Sam Raimi movies and Tobey's performance. It bothers me a lot when people say they were bad because Peter didn't joke enough, because there's so much more to his character than a guy who just kids around all the time. Anyway, good review. I actually used to have this game on Xbox when I was little, but my older sister took it and the console with her when she moved out. I got the Gamecube version and was so confused about the missing Kraven levels, I actually thought there was something wrong with my copy for a while.
Exactly! Not to mention, when compared to the guy they have now, with that weird costume and the fact that he looks like he's 12 and that I could beat him up. I think we need a Spiderman 4 with the original cast.
Jordan Greene or they could do a continuation comic at the least, like with Smallville.
Comic Fan Nick Sony couldn't make enough money on it, they'll never do it. All these damn internet kids hardly know that Toby was the first Hollywood Spiderman and these English guys are trying to recapture what they created with that trilogy. And that bothers me.

Subway Turmoil was always one of my favorites. I always find myself humming that song.
This game was really really fun as a kid, and even now it's pretty fun.
I could never beat it though so I always resulted to cheat codes.
I have a feeling this game was going to be Spider-Man 3. another sequel to the ps1 game and then got turned into the movie game
I grew up with the PS2 version, and the weird thing is, the manual mentions Kraven as a villian
But no Kraven in the actual game

@@coopercastille Friendly reminder that this game is Rated E much to my surprise when this game seems more darker than it's sequels. Meanwhile you have The Incredibles game based off a kid's movie and that's Rated T. Point is they should've at least higher the rating a little or something because for a spiderman game, I'd be lying when I say this game didn't scare the hell out of me. The warehouse level, Uncle Ben's killer's shotgun, The Part where you have to avoid shocker's blasts in the sewer alerted by the spidey's sense all adds up to it's fear.

Actually, Spider-man 3 is my favorite Spider-man movie (all included) and my second favorite movie of all time
2:41 the ending scene has the BEST effects in the movie by far

The stealth levels In this game really terrified me as a child. Especially Breaking and Entering. Chemical Chaos was also pretty Intense but Breaking and Entering had that loud orchestra hit whenever you were spotted by a camera or robot.
Overall, This Is one of my favourite Spider-Man games.. Own It on both Xbox Original and PC. :)
Spider-Man 2 will always be my top Spider-Man game but this one Is also an absolute favourite.
I seriously thought I was the only one who really hated that stealth Level. IDK how i worked up the courage to confront it and beat the level, but whoooooo boy when i did

Spider-Man is literally supposed to be dorky. Why would one complain? I love Toby Maguire as Spider-Man. I also now like Tom Holland. I feel Toby is a better Peter Parker, and Tom is a better Spider-Man.

Dude I’m right there with you! I grew up playing Spider-Man 1 but would always rent Spider-Man 2 from blockbuster because swinging around the city was so much more fun in that game
Although I'm younger than you,I still have that same feeling when it comes to the original trilogy of spidey movies
i have a theory that scorpion in this game is the same one in the 3rd movie game he escaped from oscorp but mechaboicon founded him and started doing tests on him, and gave him new Armour and a mind control helmet. what do you think of my theory.

All Spider-man movies and cartoons and game portrayals are my favorite and don't have any complaints about any of them except for Marvel Nemisis

I love this channel
The opening cinematic is completley burned into my memory. This was the first video game i remember my parents getting that was specifically for me. I didnt make it passed finding uncle bens killer because the guys with guns scared me but I still played those first three levels all the time until i got a little older when the guns stopped being spooky
And using the organic webbing cheat while playing as harry gives you unlimited super speed so you could just repeatedly knock everyone down like the flash. It was fucking rad
Fair warning: If you use the web gloves consistenyly during the first and second Goblin encounter, Goblin will fall off of his glider and into ground level. Which means your game/level will be B R O K E N

I like how the model for Tobey Maguire in the game just looks chronically tired and depressed for no reason.

Are you and I the same person? I swear, Spider-Man was the first movie I ever sat through beginning to end as well. It was my first superhero movie, and I love Toby as Spidey. Not to mention, I had this game on the XBOX, and I despised the OSCORP missions. I used that cheat code to skip the levels as well.
Ah dude I also grew up with this game. Albeit on the PS2 version and this was my first ever Spidey game as a kid. watching this has really brought some serious nostalgia and I couldn't help but smile wide throughout the portion of the vid that showcased the soundtrack. :)

I bought this game to play with a friend. He played this when he was young but I didn't. First night we hurt our ribs laughing and having a good time. The rest of the game was good, we enjoyed it until the stealth mission. I found this video to see if anyone else played this and reviewed it. I was found this video entertaining and funny. I always thought that this video was lost and now i find it.
My fondest memory of this game is all of the costumes you could unlock and even getting to play as the Green Goblin on the glider. I miss the days when games had a ton of unlockable weird stuff that really added to the charm of the game.

I love the Sami Raimi Spider-Man movies (except 3) the first one blew me away when I was 10 years old when I saw it in theaters and It's one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. And the 2nd one is one of my favorite Superhero movies of all time.

It only took me a few years to complete the game, not knowing english and having never even watched a spiderman movie didnt help. I still have this strange feeling watching the gameplay, the music scares me, i think this game traumatised me :D

Anyone who says Sam Raimi's Spiderman and Spiderman 2 is bad is legitimately misguided. The movies are incredibly solid, if not the best example of a cinematic universe prior to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Matter of fact, we have none other than Sam Raimi to thank for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the first two Spiderman movies pretty much laid out the blueprint for the Avengers and the concept of the MCU.

the oscorps missions were my favorite and the easiest to beat for me lol, the clock tower mission pissed me off as a kid.

I was the very same with that Oscorp stealth level. It took me months to beat because I was so freaking nervous to play it. Plus to a 7 year old, it was not very clear what I had to do. But now It's actually my favorite lol
The Scorpion's Sting track sounds exactly like Gulp's Overlook from Spyro 2.
finding out years later that you could play as green goblin in this blew my mind. After all these false promises by word of mouth about being able to play Venom, my favorite, or at least, Carnage, in other games, it was a big surprise to learn that green goblin quite literally had a full playable character.
is there any way to play this on ps4, or xbox series x? Or any news of a remastered version of this game?
Sorry that I didn't watch the review earlier. (I was doing something) But I really liked it, and I think that this game is a nice improvment if the PS1 gameplay style. I don't think it is as good as Spider-man 2000 but I do think it's better than Enter Electro, by far.
