I have this game, and while i enjoy the carp out of it, i only have one particularly huge complaint. kelp forest is almost unplayable in daylight hours. I can barely see the screen during the day.

Maybe because Unleashed is a bigger game than this game? Idk, but in my opinion I think this game deserves more than a 7.5/10, especially seeing how you like almost everything about this game. When I was little I loved to play this game in my friend house so I decided I want one copy but I didn´t have an Xbox and I was a stupid child so I buy the PC version.

I have to agree with @spacebreakdown, The Flying Dutchman's Graveyard soundtrack has some very amazing guitar solos while also sounding like something that would be played at a Halloween party celebrated by teenagers.

I just randomly thought while watching your review of this beloved game of mine, just as much as games like SA1, SA2, and Heroes. What if someone made a Sonic Heroes mod where you could play as team Spongebob. Spongebob is the speed character, and even still has his sponge-roll ability. Patrick is the power character chucking Spongebob and Sandy like a melon Sandy is the flying character ("Flying squirrel, coming through!"), possibly using the lasso to somehow gain height. It'd be hilarious, would it not? You could even put in a bunch of voice clips from the games or even the show to try and replace the existing voice clips for whatever team is decided to be replaced.

This was their last game before shutting down. The exact reason is still unknown. Some say, that due to a glitch in Dutchman on the PS2 version where the loading screen would freeze up and make players lose their progress, said customers sent death threats and angry letters to Big Sky and they couldn't take it anymore and shut down. Others say that Big Sky couldn't find any more work after the Nick games they made. Those games for Nick were Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (the game that took two years to make and missed every release of the Movie and came out when the TV show was just starting to air) that game was being developed when Big Sky was still the US Branch of Kalisto. And according to an interview, Big Sky said that there were more games that they were making, but I guess they fell through after Dutchman.
I found a glitch in downtown bikini bottom. In the GameCube version, if you go to the top buildings, you have to go to the windmill and jump up to the top. If you open the box, you can skip a lot of the parkour. Yes, this does count when the box on the other side. But you can't get the spatula.
I hope you someday review Creature from The Krusty Krab, It was my first Spongebob game and I played the hell out of it along with The movie game and especially Battle for Bikini Bottom when I was a kid.

It was one of my first platformers as a kid and honestly its one of the games I hold all platformers to to this day, since I never got to play mario 64. That kelp forest slide is a nightmare though especially when trying to do mermaid mans time challenge.

Too bad you never got to play the Xbox version. It has faster loading times better audio quality more particle effects and higher quality graphics. Same can be said for the movie game on Xbox and it has a unique lighting engine only in the Xbox version.
You should review the 4 main Nicktoons games: Nicktoons Unite, Battle for Volcano Island, Attack of the toybots, and Globs of Doom. Also, the Jimmy Neutron: Attack of the Twonkies. Those are decent games
This game reminds me of Sonic 3 and Knuckles in terms of how the 3 characters play they run at the same speed but have unique abilities to make themselves stand out from one another.

Tom Kenny is actually a very experienced voice actor of all mediums. He's even Spyro's primary voice actor so his fluid transition here makes sense.
