Exactly same Luna moped my dad have in 1984 model. I learnt driving with this as cycle mode. Switch isin back drum. Great memories 👌👌👌👌.

This can go in Cycle Mode also. It has a button in the Rear Wheel side. When it is in Cycle Mode, you just pedal and need not hold the Clutch.
Speedometer Console shown is upto 80 KMPH.
But Maximum Speed we could go upto 60KMPH.
I had driven LUNA Moped (LUNA SUPER, LUNA TFR PLUS and LUNA DOUBLE PLUS) during my School days as well as College days. It was very popular during those days.

These mopeds are based on the Piaggio Ciao from Italy (vespa) and here in the US engine parts are available and lots of parts are available in Europe, where they seem to be as common as belly buttons.
I have a 2021 Kinetic (made in India) that I just put a quiet dual muffler expansion chamber type exhaust (that I made) on, to get from being as slow as an old dog to just a dog (added 5 mph) and now will go 30 mph, to at least stay slightly out of the way of traffic on single lane roads in the city.
