    Amazing video!! I think you ate smart to say no to those companies. I used to be involved in constructing them. A mining company constructed them for subsidies. And I agree 💯 to say no. The land is torn up and very limited. Yes, they were lowering the subsidies, and we lost our outrageous wages.

    Great video! You're saying on the pine blooms were cool! I spent many hour crappy fishing with my dad as a kid in central Florida - great memories. Unfortunately, for us in Tallahassee, the pine and oak blooms means the beginning of the gold pollen season resulting in watery eyes and lots of sneezing - welcome to spring! Reminds me of a kid's poem:
    Caw, Caw, says the crow!
    Spring is here, I surely know!
    Just as sure as I am born!

      They should cover the roofs of every factory and warehouse with them as well as make them part of a vented roof over large parking lots. Places that use lots of electricity would also be making electricity. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Don’t ever think a professional politician is capable of doing something that makes logical (not self preservation) sense

      I’ve seen a guy on TH-cam that made an “electric” 18 wheeler. Of coarse, it has a diesel generator charging the batteries (which defeats the entire purpose). Hydrogen engines will he the next thing. They will replace diesel engines. Heavy equipment manufacturers are already working on them. They produce same power as diesel, their emissions is water, the engines use many of the same parts as current internal combustion engines, and Hydrogen is the most common element in the universe

    I’m a civil engineer and have designed a dozen solar farms. They like farm land because on paper the solar farm doesn’t produce more Stormwater runoff. If the cut trees they have to put in ponds and pipes. Alot more $$. I’m not a fan of solar and wouldn’t design another one. I live next to one that’s 700 acres and it floods my property every time it rains.

      Large solar field is next to my farm. It was all in pine trees that had just been clear cut and de-stumped. Owner tried to get it put into solar. It was rejected b/c it wasn’t farmland. He rented to a farmer for 1 year & they (the solar contractors)came back to him and wanted it for solar.

Won't your 'green projects" work there? Go check out abandoned solar projects, and wind farms. They just leave everything that breaks and move on. They leave it for the land owners to clean up. The government is trying to reduce the agricultural acres so that it has less agricultural subsidy obligations. The politicians are putting that plan in place with the encouragement of their wealthy donors, whose aim is to monopolize food. Bill Gates is rapidly buying food producing farms from coast to coast.

      Their wealthy donors (Bill Gates) want to monopolize the food supply. They do this by gifting large sums of money to democrats and telling them it comes with the condition of more climate control/green energy initiatives. Bill Gates is buying all the food farms he can and is getting the government to cover what he doesn’t own in solar farms. The government is helping him rapidly build a monopoly.

    Ask who is going to clean up in twenty years after the panels are to be replaced. Look at the windmills farms that have been left. Let’s take oxygen production area and put heat panels up. Gates is putting up 6000 acres of panels in Ohio. Nice wasted farm land.

I live in ohio 15 minutes from what they call the marsh which has arguably the best dirt in the state, it's black and they call it muck it's so fertil the main thing grown on this land is vegetables and they took 3,000 + acres out of production for solar panels, this may be the 6,000 acres your talking about in ohio. Love your 8530 🤤. I farm in WNY and we’re constantly being approached by solar developers. I’m completely anti! Nearby there’s one huge one supposedly going in that’s taking up acres and acres of highly productive river-bottom ground along genesee river…a know flood plain. Wondering how that’ll work when solar panels get flooded out? Also wonder why it’s ok to develop solar but all other development in flood plains here in NY are prohibited 🤷🏻‍♂️

      ALL rules are off when politicians get the chance to install a “green energy” project. Hurricane Michael caused a lot of damage to a huge solar installation south of me that was only 3-4 years old at the time. Government raced to add new solar projects on other farm fields, but not to repair the massive one that just needed repairs. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @PatrickShivers
      @PatrickShivers  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can’t no-till peanuts. UGA proves this every year with a variety of field trials. There are areas of this country where some crops can successfully be no-tilled. In those circumstances no-till is a definite advantage. UGA conducts annual field trials on a variety of tillage practices in peanut production. There is not a single successful trial by any university of no-till peanut production. You also can’t grow potatoes, onions, or carrots on a commercial scale in no-till. Perhaps you are the one not getting it. No-till is great, but is not universally applicable as proven by thousands of university studies (aka SCIENCE) every year.
