  • The Purpose of Braille Skateboarding is to grow the number of people who skateboard by teaching, motivating, and inspiring. We do this by making skateboard tutorial videos covering every how to skateboard video under the sun moon and stars. By learning ourselves and showing that no matter how old or young, you can learn to skate. Part of this is also providing a suggested path to take in learning to skate. Then we inspire NEW people to learn to skate by making videos outside the very small world of skateboarding. We turn an ipad into a skateboard, skate on a big screen TV, and even a door. We focus not only on the creativity here but building the board and then all the way through to seeing what tricks can be done on it. Skaters have always been a creative bunch of people they take the normal ideas of society and change it to create their own world. Most people see a set of stairs we see a kick flip going down them. Our goal here is to take people that may never have thought of skateboarding before and get them on a board.
    Brand enquiries please contact kylie@brailleskateboarding.com
    I have created many ways to achieve the above goal and will list them all below. Different ways for different people so have a look through and see what fits you best.
    “You Make it We Skate it” - our most popular series enjoyed bo skaters and non skaters alike - • YOU MAKE IT WE SKATE IT
    “Skate anything” - our series where we search out what we can possibly make skate able - • SKATE ANYTHING
    Skate board tutorials - learn for free and on your own on TH-cam - • LEARN TO SKATEBOARD VI...
    “Worst Board at the Park” - we find the worst board and replace it with a new one for tricks. Its all love supporting the community - • WORST BOARD AT THE PARK
    Skate support - need help with that trick well watch the video here and send in your clip. We will do our best to make the video quickly but we have a lot of submissions. The end result gets posted on @Brailleskate Instagram - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
    “Skateboarding Made Simple” - instead of TH-cam tutorials where you can get lost here is a guided lesson plan to take you through the basics and beyond. Instant digital download and get started - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
    Skateboard coaching - this is a totally new idea in the world of skateboarding. Get a list of tricks to learn in and submit your clips to a skateboard coach who walks you through how to land them. This is done through direct text messages and video sharing. The best way to guarantee success on your board as you have a person there to help, guide, and motivate you. This service is called “Braille Army Plus” and is a membership with a lot of benefits - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
    In person lessons - if you live in the area sign up for lessons - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...

      +Audra I used to have a really hard time doing backside 180's (hard than a kickflip in my opinion). But eventually your brain just learns how to do it and roll away. The biggest problem I had was not turning my shoulders. It's all about timing.

    a good tip here: if you're really struggling with getting the full rotation quick enough for instance throwing the board round quickly so that it automatically kinda flies into your front foot (this is the real, clean way to try and get it) then try this: a lot of the time the problem is too much conscious thought into the actual kickflip part, when tutorials say "flick out slightly to get the flip but scoop hard" this is garbage. you need to scoop hard, yes, but the flick should come very naturally, it's all about the amount of weight pushing at the side of the board when you pop correctly, so; warm up well for a while, get some strength & agility going and deliberately try to do a 360 shoveit. this way you aren't interfering with the subliminal motor control of your front foot and if you aren't already experienced with a 3shuv this is even more of a benefit because you'll understand a 3shuv needs an instant relief of weight on the front foot when popping otherwise it is hard to do. focus fully on the back foot and consciously attempt a 3shuv - if you scoop hard enough there is a good chance, by your surprise, that the board will rotate a nimble 360 degrees and probably do half of a kickflip but most of all it might be thrown towards your front foot for an easy/natural landing. of course this fully depends on how far you are with tre's already but if you're struggling with the rotation it can have a lot to do with having too much weight with your front foot when you pop, you just gotta let that go and use only the back foot. you might not land it instantly but this can be a huge step in the learning process, it worked for me.

  • @KingBarney

    What helped me get 360 Flips is realizing it isn't really a horizontal scoop, it's a pop. If you see Aaron do it, he's barely doing anything, that's because it's more leg strength than technique, eventually you just learn how to pop it. And eventually you just get it as your legs get stronger. Don't worry about it taking too long, just keep practicing 360 Shoves and Varial Flips, me I learned it by doing a Varial Flip and noticing the board went 270, then just kept trying to scoop harder and harder.

    • @misterOerb
      @misterOerb 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hate that trick. I can easily scoop and flip it. The board always does the full rotation and I mostly land on the bolts. The problem is, I always lose my balance when rolling away. Feels awkward. Any tips? (Sorry for my bad english)

    • @KingBarney
      @KingBarney 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      misterOerb Yeah, I used to be like that with Varial Flips, I think it's because it's a lot for your mind to go through, normally with normal flip tricks you only pay attention to how it flips, but with tricks that rotate as well as flip, it's hard to get both factors together, just practice doing the trick and watching the board flip, and trying like, catching it instead of just forming the trick and your feet somehow land on it.

    • @KingBarney
      @KingBarney 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Indo Banged Just keep practicing it. :P It won't come quick. Literally ended up with muscle pain and couldn't skate for quite a while because of how hard I tried to get Tre Flips. It's a painful trick.

    Prior to the internet we were just trying over and over. Shortys had just started coming out with tutorial vids. But vhs 411 or other vids pause pause pause pause just to see what was going on. TH-cam and the amount of skate park have probably made sk8 progression so much faster. But in my small town I've yet to see others do the 8 set by the cop shop or any other big drops we used to skate but.....they now have a skatepark 👍

    Bro, I practice weightlifting and studied music in an academic way, and from both I learnt to visualize, its not that crap of attraction law, Is visualizing yourself doing the action, this helped me a lot to do the tricks. Visualize the trick, the board, you doing the movements a lot.

      It looks easy because his legs became strong enough and because he knows how it's done in terms of technique, eventually you'll get there, a few months ago Varial Flips were a challenge, not Tre Flips are so easy it's insane thinking about how long it took me to learn and how much effort I put into that trick.

      alypaige88 Weak little kid legs that got a strong enough pop/scoop to do the trick, but of course kids will suffer more than older peeps. The technique for this trick isn't much, you just need to get stronger and more used to scooping and popping.

    I can tre flip clean first try with a size 8 board but i takes me a while to try flip using a size 8.5 which im more comfortable with. Can you make a tutorial of a tre flip with a bigger board since you use a 7.75 and smaller boards are easier to flip.

    So I can almost do these,with no flick involved whatsoever.They sometimes underflip but would they still count as Tre flips or would they be 360 pressure flips or something?Anyway,thanks for the upload,really helps:)

    I used to skate when I was younger. About 25 years ago I stopped. Although I skated for about 7 years a kickflip was my golden achievement because we didn’t have TH-cam or more seasoned skaters we knew to give us advice. So all me and my friend had to go on was a couple of VHS videos I was given to learn from. I’ve been watching your videos for few months now & although I’m now 40 I’m considering getting a board again. I can see from your tutorials where most of my tricks were going wrong. Anyone else from the 80s to 90s era recently started again ??? How are you getting on???

      Do it!!! I did this recently when my eldest son got into skating... Landed my first impossible for over 20 years last week and first ever varial flip!... Not got my head round this one yet and concrete hurts a lot more in yer 40's but I'm loving it and it's surprising how quick it all comes back!

    Whenever I treflip I always slip out when both feet get on. Then I try centering myself when doing the trick but only my back foot gets on. Please help I’ve been trying this trick for 6 months.
