Great song choice Greg. A great example of how using root, 5th and octaves with chromatic approach notes, can be fairly easy to play depending on your level, but so effective and sounds great. Cheers.
Super Fun - Watched The Play Along First And Just Now Caught The Lesson - Way Above My Skill Set But Appreciated The Patterns And Octaves - The Diagrams Of The Fretboard On The Screen Really Help For Sure - Enjoy The Rest Of Your Weekend And Stay Dicy Brother Man Cheers
Hey Travis, thanks man! I didn’t realise how tricky this was until I started transcribing it. Hopefully you can get your fingers round the simplified version. Good to know that the fret diagrams help.
Great lesson of a classic song.Thanks.Going off on a tangent here, but what was your favourite song to play when you were touring in the "Jersey Boys" ?
Hey John I actually played in the West End production of Jersey Boys and didn’t tour with that show. My favourite was probably ‘Oh What A Night’ as it’s a great groove and I got a chance to change the odd section on different nights. I love ‘Beggin’ but that was played on keyboard bass as I was about to go onstage at that point of the show!
@@GregsBassShed Ah ok,wasn't sure if you toured with the show or not.Just had a quick play of "Oh what a night ";took me a few tries to get it right ;-)
Thank you Teacher Greg for a great lesson!! I really like your style of teaching!! if possible, the song named"circles "by post Molone next lesson please...
Hi Greg. Going back to last week and octaves, I think a look at "Miss You" by the Rolling Stones is essential for practice. 🎶 Great lesson once again today. I'll be practicing this later. 🙏
Hi John, she's a great player and it would be nice to feature her on the channel. I'm on a British Blues run at the moment before my GBS British Blues Week but it would be good to do some Funk afterwards. I'll put it on the list.
@@GregsBassShed That's great!!! Thank you so much Greg, i will look forward to it. The best performance of this track i found on you tube " You can't fake the funk/positivity" Have a great time on your blues concerts
Check me out playing the track - it's not easy!!

Hi Owen, glad you liked the lesson. I always have quite a few lessons ready to go in advanced but I’ll put your suggestion on the list. Cheers.

Excellent suggestion Michael.
any chance you could do a lesson in ida nielson, "you cant fake the funk" always wanted to play it, but nobody seems to do a lesson on it
