Can you encrypt a group message?
I have basic telegram. Just recently I had someone from a channel I usually frequent send me a personal message. How can I tell if its really that channel owner sending me that message and not a hacked account. I asked if they could send a recorded message so I can verify their voice and they wrote back that it was then who is writting that they only have one account. And I do not want to call since I dont know if that would be a good idea in case its not the channel owner.
I would advise against going for it. It may come across as insincere because the channel does not usually send personal messages.

How to get message at telegram before setting secret message ?
Send a regular message on Telegram by opening the chat, typing, and sending your message before initiating a secret chat.

- Tap More
- Hit Start Secret Chat
