I tried telegram from app store to follow censored people talking about current world events but it rarely worked , videos would rarely play and it would auto download a ton of crap to my device i didnt want in the first place its a pile of crap . Why set it to auto download so much trash jpegs and other stuff you browse through?

It is a nuisance to manually set up secret chat. It should be encrypted by default.
