I finally scored a PS5 the other day! Dude from one of my gaming groups, based off a podcast, has been able to get his hands on a good amount. He didn't even charge extra! I got the disc version and he charged zero dollars extra because he hates scalpers too and just helping people. Luckily he was local to me so I won out, but he shipped to two other guys. I've waited sooooo long for this!!! Nolan you're the real MVP

I actually really enjoyed playstation home. It was a place to just casually hang out with people who enjoy games and do mindless mini games and customization. It was a nice escape from reality sometimes.
What absolutely BLOWS my mind. Is they literally took a break from releasing BF games. BF 2042 has like an extra nearly 2 years over other BF games...and yet STILL they fucked it up. How is it missing so many features, when they literally had more time, AND could use existing BF code. Absolutely mind blowing!
Because the big game companies know they can beta- release a game, get people to test it and make money of of it while they attempt to make it better, or just make off with whatever money they made while it was out, fing lame :(

At a certain point I can see this being defended in court with the standard "No one in their right would ever look at this and think it's god of war or Horizon 0 dawn" or "Fair use, it's transformative! We did a thing with it!
I think the thing about GTA Remastered being a bigger story than BF2042 is that no one cares about BF2042 unless you're a BF/online multiplayer shooter fan, whereas GTA Remastered is going to bring in a lot more players and a bigger variety too. It's also more interesting seeing some beloved games get upgraded for this gen than just seeing the next in a series of yearly/semi-yearly shooters be released.
The heist was probably done even simpler: Truck rides up to a warehouse, provides some false papers, loads shipment of graphicscards, and rides right out the gate. The interesting bit is how they got the information to get there at the right time, managed to delay the truck that was supposed to pick up the cards, and where they got the right info to put on their papers.
I like how you've solved the case without any information whatsoever and whilst being a random internet nobody that doesn't have a clue what they're talking about. Very impressive.
Every warehouse has cameras, ever truck has plates. Part of checking paperwork is checking registration. Not the way it happened because you would never get away with it. Had to have happened outside of warehouse.
@@coldfate1 You load / unload the products outside the warehouse and if it is a guy who has a valid registration then it will be hard for them to fix the system. Most times when i see this happening is when the driver is recently fired and wants to get back at their employer or the driver thinks they can get away with it so they subcontract it to another that then picks up the load and carries it for them. As the system isn't as hardened as one would think it is and still has to many humans in it that can happen. To fix the issue really get rid of transport via truck and go to transport via trains. Move more tons in the same amount of space but in less time since you can have i think 20 cargo containers linked to 1 train. With electronic trains able to carry more weight than coal fired ones too. The problem will be the last leg of the trip to the stores it will be sold at still will require a truck to divide up how much goes where but the cross country and long distance truck rides would no longer be needed. The other advantage to it is you can put more than just 1 type of product into those 20 containers and depending on how it is set up you could set it up so it goes straight from the import inspection area to the train without any in between steps needing to be taken. This will of course get rid of a lot of human jobs not just trucker jobs but in place of that it will make other jobs for people who know how to operate the trains, loading / unloading, and having enough people to inspect all the cargo from sea import/export place with all the bureaucracy that goes with it too. So getting rid of some to make others require more. The fix is simple in words but will need many companies to break their contract with trucking companies. Usually the company that will will be the logistics not the shipping company and most times not the companies that make the products.

PlayStation home was very wholesome, the most relaxing experience I had in ps3, really one of the things that made me WOW at the ps3, it was an unique experience! Really sad that ps4 and ps5 don’t have something unique like that :(
Playstation home was one of the best things about owning a ps3 and the clones that are on ps4 are terrible attempts to bring the greatest social multiplayer experience back
PlayStation Home was my shit back on PS3. I'd come home from school everyday and rush to get on it. I met most of my ps friends on ps home. Tbh more than the amount of people I met on my other 50 something games. It was a blast for me.

I am WAY more willing to give an indie dev slack (T17, Hell Let Loose) when it comes to game releases verses a company like EA or Rockstar. Team 17 has been working non-stop to stamp out any bugs or glitches when it comes to Hell Let Loose. EA has way more money, time, manpower and yet turn out a worse product. To me, 2042 looks on par with BF3. Like this is supposed to be a next gen release yet plays and looks like warzone lite.
Well big companies wants more profit so those who's sits at top positions can get millions. You make 10 million from 100k or 100 million from 1 million it's just not enough for big companies.

I havent experienced anything game breaking in a while and I have been playing the game since launch so I experienced all of the issues first hand. Team17 has done a few updates and hot fixes to get rid of the most prevalent bugs. I would say for sure it is in a good place to pick it up.

The $60 price tag for games should have ended in 2010. That 100 mil doesn’t cover the 150 mil to 300 mil it takes to make this huge big budget games. Indie devs aren’t any better.

The story wasn't quite like portrayed; sources said that MS tried to partnership with nintendo, who said "no", then proposed to do large scale investing, which also got a "no", then it proposed to aquire/rent some IPs (intelectual properties) for distribution, which also got a No. All in the same "meeting", hence nintendo laughing about the fact that MS already was prepared to receive negative after negative without even blinking.
I made my decision to avoid Battlefield 2042 after 2 matches of the awful beta, the game just feels too weird and doesn't feel like Battlefield to me, such a shame.
Cyberpunk 2077, GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, Battlefield 2042….I just wonder do developers actually test their games before putting them out for sale? Like do they genuinely think they can squeeze in those bugs in hope of no one noticing?
Well they do save money not hiring bug testers. And they know many fans will buy a game the moment it is available for purchase. So while it does ruin their reputation, they make big quick bucks doing so.
@@frozenburst64 quality over quantity…this way you’re just losing the trust from fans and fans will buy the game whether it’s finished completely and done correctly or with a lot of bugs. So rather just take your time, give yourself like a month or two extra to fix everything and then release, because when I see games like such, I don’t feel like preordering again until I see the actual results

Gosh, I really loved PS Home and regret taking way too few photos in its photomode back then. From the top of my head I remember the central plaza, shops, MotorStorm/WipEout spaces, that one steampunk(?) floating island thingy you could 'fish' at, that basketball court where you could actually play basketball and own a place/hang out and listen to music on the rooftops and I'm seeing a nice christmas-y are in my last screenshot (of... three). Also I have to thank it, for teaching me to never buy server-dependent, purely digital goods ever again (way before microtransactions were 'in'!), cause oh boy, did I lose a LOT of stuff.
Just FIY there is no component shortage. The lack of CPU's and GPU's is because everyone closed shipping lanes so months of supplies of GPU's were stuck in ships that could not dock at ports. Ports then reopened but now they had 500% more ships than normal capacity, could not physically keep up with the amount of ships showing up, resulting in a literal ticket queue where ships are stationed for 1-2 weeks to be emptied. Cards produced in July are only starting to be sold now. That's how horrific the crisis is. There is no supply shortage, in fact there is probably an oversupply right now. Its just 70% of it is still stuck on ships and not in stores leading to everyone constantly selling out. When it comes to PS5's again there is no shortage of components. Its just everyone is attempting to manufacture more at once despite ships being over supplied. I can guarantee you at some point we will see prices crash to ridiculous levels. So buy then.
Nintendo betrayed Sony with their console deal, Sony made PlayStation, Nintendo laughed Microsoft out of the acquisition meeting, Microsoft made xbox. Nintendo really making enemies like Tony stark.
Actually the deal was pretty bad. Cause all disc based sale profits went to Sony. While Nintendo got the cart sales. The system took both carts and discs I believe. Well discs were much cheaper to make so ya Nintendo would have gotten shafted.

Instead, they accepted the deal, let Sony publicly announce that they were working with Nintendo on the Super Disc, and then backstabbed them by partnering with Philips behind the scenes and making the CD-i (which went about as well as chocolate on a potato salad). In the end though, things worked out pretty well I'd say.
I think the reason why so little people (compared to expectations) are talking about BF2042 is because the game is still enjoyable despite (and sometimes because of) its issues. So really it's not that bad. Like you said, the grappling hook thing, or for me personally the hovercraft thing....its pretty fun and I kinda hope they don't 'fix' those parts. Besides, the glitches will mostly be fixed within the coming few months, as usual. The rat thing though.....what has society come to....
Ps Home is actually pretty neat. It's one of my favorites from back then, i had outfits and a nice place. Had friends i'd meet up with in there, we'd go bowling and chat about IRL stuff, go meet new people at the malls or the basketball court then we'd all find a game we all had and go play that. It was good times, such simpler times - honestly. It was so small, and honestly not good for much of anything but that was one time I could genuinely just log onto Home and talk to random people and make new friends in an instant.
When I worked at a warehouse back when I was a young teenager, organized crime would steal the entire trailer after it was dropped at whatever big box store loading dock it was left at. Just one trailer held about 750000 dollars of merchandise.
It's not the chip shortage that is having the greatest impact on people not being able to get PS5s. It's scalpers. Scalpers are never out of stock because their bots are too good. This would actually be a very easy problem to solve, but Sony doesn't care to fix the problem. A sale is a sale.
Truck heists happen all the time. Doors get cut open at stop lights, trucks will be stolen (easiest way to do it), all kinds of ways, but stealing goods on trucks is very much still a common thing.

I haven't been excited for a BF release since BF4's disastrously bad release (Bugs, crashes, server issues), so I certainly wasn't expecting much from BF2042 to begin with. I gave up on EA a long time ago.
Then you're a fool, EA publishes far more than Battlefield games, and while we're at it the BF1 & BF5 campaigns were absolutely fantastic. They're not just multiplayer games (usually).
Not to mention the world over is seeing a serious shortage of the precious materials we use to craft those electronic components and it has actually been a problem that has been kept secret and swept under the rug for almost a decade now. This effects way more than gaming, like cell phones, wireless and blue tooth components, home systems, smart systems, even your new microwave and toaster! Let alone computers, graphic cards, or gaming systems. the planet overall is literally running out of resources.

If you're bummed about 2042 try WW3 if you're on PC. You can buy into the closed beta for $15. It's not what I'd call polished but the movement and gunplay feel nice and the game will be improved up up to it goes free to play in March and well after.

I’m sorry but that’s happening especially now because if there is at least some sort of demand for it, Sony will keep manufacturing it and although it represents a small percentage in the demand that will obviously be worth millions in PlayStation terms. Plus you can’t just withdraw a product that has already been created from the market. The ramifications would be huge. Loss in trust for the company, people arguing about it etc.

Honestly I'm surprised Bethesda and Rockstar aren't getting a lot of shit for labeling PS4/One games as PS5/Series. With the art whilst it looks similar you cannot copyright a format. You can only copyright your specific pieces. You could use a Mona Lisa style piece for free as long as it's painted with different tools, canvas, paint, and subject.

PlayStation Home was my shit back on PS3. I'd come home from school everyday and rush to get on it. I met most of my ps friends on ps home. Tbh more than the amount of people I met on my other 50 something games. It was a blast for me.

PlayStation Home was honestly a cool game for people who love these social sim type games. I hope the project adds more items to it.
I am WAY more willing to give an indie dev slack (T17, Hell Let Loose) when it comes to game releases verses a company like EA or Rockstar. Team 17 has been working non-stop to stamp out any bugs or glitches when it comes to Hell Let Loose. EA has way more money, time, manpower and yet turn out a worse product. To me, 2042 looks on par with BF3. Like this is supposed to be a next gen release yet plays and looks like warzone lite.
Well big companies wants more profit so those who's sits at top positions can get millions. You make 10 million from 100k or 100 million from 1 million it's just not enough for big companies.

I havent experienced anything game breaking in a while and I have been playing the game since launch so I experienced all of the issues first hand. Team17 has done a few updates and hot fixes to get rid of the most prevalent bugs.
I would say for sure it is in a good place to pick it up.
@@Zero00899 of course companies want to make money. They are literally in business to do that. But the cost of games nowadays is increasing faster with each new gen. The $60 price tag for games should have ended in 2010. That 100 mil doesn’t cover the 150 mil to 300 mil it takes to make this huge big budget games. Indie devs aren’t any better.

The story wasn't quite like portrayed; sources said that MS tried to partnership with nintendo, who said "no", then proposed to do large scale investing, which also got a "no", then it proposed to aquire/rent some IPs (intelectual properties) for distribution, which also got a No. All in the same "meeting", hence nintendo laughing about the fact that MS already was prepared to receive negative after negative without even blinking.

I made my decision to avoid Battlefield 2042 after 2 matches of the awful beta, the game just feels too weird and doesn't feel like Battlefield to me, such a shame.

Well they do save money not hiring bug testers. And they know many fans will buy a game the moment it is available for purchase. So while it does ruin their reputation, they make big quick bucks doing so.
@@frozenburst64 quality over quantity…this way you’re just losing the trust from fans and fans will buy the game whether it’s finished completely and done correctly or with a lot of bugs. So rather just take your time, give yourself like a month or two extra to fix everything and then release, because when I see games like such, I don’t feel like preordering again until I see the actual results

Gosh, I really loved PS Home and regret taking way too few photos in its photomode back then.
From the top of my head I remember the central plaza, shops, MotorStorm/WipEout spaces, that one steampunk(?) floating island thingy you could 'fish' at, that basketball court where you could actually play basketball and own a place/hang out and listen to music on the rooftops and I'm seeing a nice christmas-y are in my last screenshot (of... three).
Also I have to thank it, for teaching me to never buy server-dependent, purely digital goods ever again (way before microtransactions were 'in'!), cause oh boy, did I lose a LOT of stuff.
I'm sure battlefield 2042 will get all those missing features as paid DLC eventually!
Even if they don't do that its still bullshit we have to wait in the first place for a finished game

The lack of CPU's and GPU's is because everyone closed shipping lanes so months of supplies of GPU's were stuck in ships
that could not dock at ports.
Ports then reopened but now they had 500% more ships than normal capacity, could not physically keep up with the amount of ships showing up, resulting in a literal ticket queue where ships are stationed for 1-2 weeks to be emptied.
Cards produced in July are only starting to be sold now. That's how horrific the crisis is. There is no supply shortage, in fact there is probably an oversupply right now. Its just 70% of it is still stuck on ships and not in stores leading to everyone constantly selling out.
When it comes to PS5's again there is no shortage of components. Its just everyone is attempting to manufacture more at once despite ships being over supplied. I can guarantee you at some point we will see prices crash to ridiculous levels. So buy then.

Actually the deal was pretty bad. Cause all disc based sale profits went to Sony. While Nintendo got the cart sales. The system took both carts and discs I believe. Well discs were much cheaper to make so ya Nintendo would have gotten shafted.

Instead, they accepted the deal, let Sony publicly announce that they were working with Nintendo on the Super Disc, and then backstabbed them by partnering with Philips behind the scenes and making the CD-i (which went about as well as chocolate on a potato salad). In the end though, things worked out pretty well I'd say.
I think the reason why so little people (compared to expectations) are talking about BF2042 is because the game is still enjoyable despite (and sometimes because of) its issues. So really it's not that bad. Like you said, the grappling hook thing, or for me personally the hovercraft thing....its pretty fun and I kinda hope they don't 'fix' those parts. Besides, the glitches will mostly be fixed within the coming few months, as usual.

Ps Home is actually pretty neat. It's one of my favorites from back then, i had outfits and a nice place. Had friends i'd meet up with in there, we'd go bowling and chat about IRL stuff, go meet new people at the malls or the basketball court then we'd all find a game we all had and go play that. It was good times, such simpler times - honestly. It was so small, and honestly not good for much of anything but that was one time I could genuinely just log onto Home and talk to random people and make new friends in an instant.
We can only hope the truck heist involved a green underglow kit.

When I worked at a warehouse back when I was a young teenager, organized crime would steal the entire trailer after it was dropped at whatever big box store loading dock it was left at. Just one trailer held about 750000 dollars of merchandise.
It's not the chip shortage that is having the greatest impact on people not being able to get PS5s. It's scalpers. Scalpers are never out of stock because their bots are too good. This would actually be a very easy problem to solve, but Sony doesn't care to fix the problem. A sale is a sale.

Truck heists happen all the time. Doors get cut open at stop lights, trucks will be stolen (easiest way to do it), all kinds of ways, but stealing goods on trucks is very much still a common thing.

I haven't been excited for a BF release since BF4's disastrously bad release (Bugs, crashes, server issues), so I certainly wasn't expecting much from BF2042 to begin with. I gave up on EA a long time ago.
Then you're a fool, EA publishes far more than Battlefield games, and while we're at it the BF1 & BF5 campaigns were absolutely fantastic. They're not just multiplayer games (usually).
Not to mention the world over is seeing a serious shortage of the precious materials we use to craft those electronic components and it has actually been a problem that has been kept secret and swept under the rug for almost a decade now. This effects way more than gaming, like cell phones, wireless and blue tooth components, home systems, smart systems, even your new microwave and toaster! Let alone computers, graphic cards, or gaming systems. the planet overall is literally running out of resources.
The world is not running out of resources. This is the result of A shutting down all major supply chains for over a year in an overreaction to a disease outbreak and B something like 40% of electronic grade silicone produced is produced in Taiwan which is currently under threat of invasion by a fascist dictatorship.

If you're bummed about 2042 try WW3 if you're on PC. You can buy into the closed beta for $15. It's not what I'd call polished but the movement and gunplay feel nice and the game will be improved up up to it goes free to play in March and well after.

The PS5 problem is exacerbated by the fact that they feel the need to have to make two consoles. The market has spoken and shown that people want the disc version. Just stick to only making one.

I’m sorry but that’s happening especially now because if there is at least some sort of demand for it, Sony will keep manufacturing it and although it represents a small percentage in the demand that will obviously be worth millions in PlayStation terms. Plus you can’t just withdraw a product that has already been created from the market. The ramifications would be huge. Loss in trust for the company, people arguing about it etc.

Honestly I'm surprised Bethesda and Rockstar aren't getting a lot of shit for labeling PS4/One games as PS5/Series. The GTA collection and Skyrim are stuck using the 5.5 and 9gb available in those last gen profiles. Isn't that false advertising or something? The games should be labeled PS4 with PS5 enhancement.
