I have been to this pub a few times, but was very disappointed recently, to see it not only closed, but completely bulldozed flat. This was always a great highlight of our holidays to Western Australia and I hope that there are plans to replace it?

ive taken a cousin from england to a pub that was in a national park and had a dozen or so roos out the back and in the bar area, BULLDOZED??? pls tell me this isnt the john forrest pub???? EDIT ... i just googled it and it looks like it is , bloody government

I've seen a mob in central Qld that was ten's of thousands,I had to stop on the side road for 5mins let them pass,never seen anything like it,maybe a school of fish would be bigger
If youre in Perth i can point out a few spots where there are more. Not sure if there are more at the mandurah golf club. Might be, but they tend to spread out across the course. Its only when they get together and have a mass snooze on the hill at the first tee (you have to tee off over the top of them. The tee is on the top of the slope so its not hard) that you realise how many there are on the course. The mandurah gold course isnt one of the three spots.
Best time I find is when I’m out just about an hour before sunset, but the one time I never had my camera (pre phone camera days) was just on sunset and they were in front of the sunset racing me in the car I had to stop as I came to the bend in the road as then it would take them across the road in front of me, but the setting sun as they bounced across the hill side was the best moments of my life, not many I would say there was over 50 of them so small compared to the ones out at the dams. They come to my yard at dusk for food and water, I grow a native plant they love to eat, so I always make sure to save seeds every year to keep on hand for the next drought as that’s when we get anywhere upto 10-15 out front where I put the old bathtub as a water feature 😹😹😹

😹😹yep they are very strong, specially the males, when they stand up to their full hight I can look a Roo eye to eye, where as the wallabies only get to my waist in height, even then they can be just as strong😹😹we don’t see many of the biggest Roo’s in Australia and that’s the Red kangaroo, they were the ones used in the freak shows back in the 1800-1900 they are more down south of NSW and Victoria to where I live in QLD. I have not seen one in the wild since I stopped long distance travailing back in the early 1990’s.

Did you all hear about the 3 Aussie ladies who went into a San Francisco bar? The bar's guests were all in an up roar because a wild city possum go into the bar. The 3 ladies were calm but one of them hurried to the possum, grabs it by the tail and puts it outside! Everyone was very impressed and cheered her when she came back in! Is that a Sheila or what?!

Mate, this is not a joke: I went on a hike through the Scenic Rim in southern Qld, camping in tents at night - in roo & wallaby country - but leaving our packs outside. Cheeky buggers knew how to unzip my pack at night (thumbs or no thumbs!!) & help themselves to my trail mix, breakfast cereal, bread, crackers, dried fruit, you name it!!
No one but no one drinks that horrible shitty beer here in Australia. Not even the roos. Plus no one ever says crikey. I think Steve Irwin was the only Aussie I've I've heard say it. It really made me cringe.

I have noticed that some Americans have taken to buying wallabies as pets and calling them kangaroos 🙄🙄🙄 even Salt Lake City zoo had the names wrong when I was there in 94’ they were calling the wallabies kangaroos 🤔🤔🤔a kangaroo when standing can look me in the eye directly where as a wallabies an full height only reaches my waist😹😹😹 I am 5’10” a big Red well if it went to full height I would run in the opposite direction they are that tall that it could take on a NBA player, they are rare to see now the most common are the western grey kangaroo as they are everywhere same as the wallabies and they are dark brown during the summer but their fur turns to looking black tipped on the brown, they look so cute you want to cuddle them, but their claws are sharp and they can still pack a punch😹😹😹
