Scout is without a doubt the most fitting name for the kitten who scoped out and discovered the human who would take all her siblings in. Truly was a real scout.

I don't fully agree. A lot of people would stop if 1 kitten ran out of the bush let alone 13. Kittens are cutiest thing in the word other than human babies lol. Most people wouldn't have taken csre of all 13 and just called a rescue place to tske them. Which is just as good.
There are packs of stray dogs in Moscow, and they've worked out which one of them is the cutest and that one goes and begs for food, which he brings back and shares with the rest. The Moscow underground trains announce their station stops, which the dogs have learned to recognise, so they use the underground trains to get around Moscow to all their favourite food begging stops.
They knew which human to approach. Animals have that instinct. We used cats as assisting animals in psych. They can tell when hallucinations are about to occur and react to let the patient know. This is a way of training ppl that what they are experiencing ìs not real so that they don't act on it.

It's not just the fact that he rescued all of the kittens but also the fact that all of those cute little balls of fur trusted him and ran to him immediately really shows that he's a person with the sweetest of souls
Cats seem to have an instinct that tells them who they can trust. I have often heard it said that you don't choose a cat, the cat chooses you. Robert was obviously a kind and gentle soul in the kittens' eyes and indeed turned out to be just that. Bless all who care for God's creatures!
That sure was a traumatic experience for Robert, truly a moment he wont forget, glad hes ok and wasnt injured from the ambush, he could have gotten stunned frozen from their cuteness!

@@paulleverton9569 I'd say either the mother was abandoned when the owner found out she was pregnant, or else the mother could've been born a stray cat herself. Whichever it is, I'd say she somehow unfortunately passed away. I'd say that is the most likely possibility because whenever you see stray cat families, the kittens always stay close to the mother, at least until they're big enough to go hunting for themselves. However, if their mother dies, especially at the age of those kittens in the video, they desperately search for another carer. There was a stray kitten that hung around my old neighbourhood growing up and he really wanted my family to take him in. He'd always be sitting outside my door when I got back from work and when I'd be walking home drunk from the club at 3am he'd come running at me from nowhere and I'd sit down petting him for ages. Unfortunately, we couldn't take him as our dog hates cats, but luckily we did manage to find a family for him and he's still going strong...

Regardless he still did the right thing. It would be nice to look for the mother but I can understand how complicated and hard that can be especially thrown on top of THAT MANY BABIES! 😯

Gentlemen don't destroy their kids health introducing strays nor do they vid encounters with a kitten. As a vet here in Scotland I'm disgusted by this vid. You never touch strays unless it's an emergency. The mother cat will reject the kittens at the very least, your car and house will be riddled with serious health issues within minutes.

Taken in about 40 kittens and not a single shelter in my area or human being is willing to take them. I've been doing this since I moved to this county where there's almost 2 million stray and pharaoh cats and kittens with no services. It's horrible.
The fact that the kittens were comfortable around a human meant that they had been abandoned from their initial home, sad world, but hey I’m so glad the man rescued all of them! And of course kudos to the star of the show, Scout!
This really was likely a dump from a backyard breeder. We have two cats from a dump of unwanted kittens. The breeder was trying to get munchkins. The two we got have bad hip problems. I hate breeders, especially backyard breeders who think wasting a life is an easy way to a quick buck.

I want to commend Scout for being so brave as a kitten to approach what could've been a threat to hopefully help his siblings, and now they're happy and safe.
Thank God for people like this. Shows that humanity isn't completely screwed up and all you need is a little compassion and love and things will work out in the end. He didn't have to save these kittens but they would have died without his help.

But it is much more likely that they were with their mother. Fact is most kittens you would encounter on the streets or in nature are raised by their mothers. In fact most adult street cats you see across the globe were raised by mothers outdoors. So the logical, reasonable deduction is that these kittens weren’t alone. Especially considering that these were incredibly young and stats show that usually adult pets are dumped over young ones. It is not difficult to hand out 13 cute, little kittens if you want to get rid of them, trust me. Of course they approached him. They are kittens. I don’t even know how to respond to that. And why would the guy take them? Because he loved animals and the kittens are cute. But that is no justification. The mother cat was very likely on the hunt. If you look at 0:11 you can see the white kittens waiting for the man to notice them and when he does they run to him. So cute! I'm so glad he found them and saved them.
My kitten wandered in from the streets to my sister's husband's workshop. Since he was so fearless, they took him and looked around for people willing to give a home. Since they knew I was looking, I ended up taking him in. 5 minutes after meeting, he was asleep in my hand. 6 months later, he's much healthier, and so loving. Still falls asleep in my arms or on my chest, currently asleep on my legs. I love my little Beans!
My found kitty was named Bean, cuz he was as tiny as a bean when we found him. But he grew onto a giant handsome beanstalk! We think he was a Turkish Van because of his size and shape, his bold personality and dog like behavior, which included greeting dogs,, and his love of water. He'd jump into the bathtub with me and play( i had to get him his own toys) , he come in from the rain and demand his towel and wear it around like a a gentleman wearing a robe. He loved going on leashed walks and was trained to heel, sit, stay, wait and release, give (something he caught like a toy or a critter) shake paw, high five, and... be cute, which was his own pose he invented. I love hearing about other rescue kittens bearing the same name as my best buddy!
My Beans is a domestic shorthair, tuxedo coloring. He loves to sleep on my legs at night, and cuddle into my arms or on my chest when I game. He's an adorable cuddlebug.

That first kitten was so brave and even though I’m sure he/she could tell you were a good person, it was a big risk. That kitten was willing to risk death or injury for its brothers and sisters to get help and food. I can only imagine how they viewed people since they were more than likely just left there. Thank you for taking care of those babies, and giving them a chance to be part of a family. I hope you kept that first baby that came right to you. I think he/she wanted to be yours. That baby will be such a protective, committed and loving part of any family.
Kittens that young can't really understand what is bad and what is good, at least majority of them, and judging by their situation they haven't really lived with humans to take a good judgement on them, they were probably all hungry and would most likely beg for food to anyone who stopped by And yes, he did kept that first baby + two of his brothers
Not necessarily, it just could have been a pregnant feral cat. Some breeds can have up to 13 kittens. It could have given birth and abandoned them. I've had that experience.
Scout is such a perfect name for the first little one. He went looking for a good person, found one and the others came charging in. Much love and respect for this man for accepting them into his life and taking care of them also.
300th Like here ❤. I have a rare ginger female cat that I rescued from the side of the road abandoned and scared out of her mind hiding under a bush next to a pond with no telling how many predators like snakes around and there's also groups of coyotes in that area. She was only around 7 weeks old and more than likely wouldn't have survived the night. I just wonder why people leave kittens on the side of the road.

Some folks may not understand how much you did for these kits, but you literally saved their lives. They wouldn't have survived on their own hunting for prey. They're too small and inexperienced. This man saved 13 lives. Whether they be human or animal, you completely changed the entire course of these beautiful animals lives, and they'll remember that, as will all the rest of us. I’m not much of a cat person until 6 months ago, I went to the Portland humane society and fell in love with one cat…then 3 months later rescued an abandoned litter runt kitten, with some special needs. I love them both. I can understand why people don’t care much for cats, but getting these two have really opened my eyes to how special cats really are, and so much easier to care for compared to dogs.

Cats seem to have an instinct that tells them who they can trust. I have often heard it said that you don't choose a cat, the cat chooses you. Robert was obviously a kind and gentle soul in the kittens' eyes and indeed turned out to be just that. Bless all who care for God's creatures!

@@paulleverton9569 I'd say either the mother was abandoned when the owner found out she was pregnant, or else the mother could've been born a stray cat herself. Whichever it is, I'd say she somehow unfortunately passed away. I'd say that is the most likely possibility because whenever you see stray cat families, the kittens always stay close to the mother, at least until they're big enough to go hunting for themselves. However, if their mother dies, especially at the age of those kittens in the video, they desperately search for another carer. There was a stray kitten that hung around my old neighbourhood growing up and he really wanted my family to take him in. He'd always be sitting outside my door when I got back from work and when I'd be walking home drunk from the club at 3am he'd come running at me from nowhere and I'd sit down petting him for ages. Unfortunately, we couldn't take him as our dog hates cats, but luckily we did manage to find a family for him and he's still going strong...

Gentlemen don't destroy their kids health introducing strays nor do they vid encounters with a kitten. As a vet here in Scotland I'm disgusted by this vid. You never touch strays unless it's an emergency. The mother cat will reject the kittens at the very least, your car and house will be riddled with serious health issues within minutes.

Taken in about 40 kittens and not a single shelter in my area or human being is willing to take them. I've been doing this since I moved to this county where there's almost 2 million stray and pharaoh cats and kittens with no services. It's horrible.

This really was likely a dump from a backyard breeder. We have two cats from a dump of unwanted kittens. The breeder was trying to get munchkins. The two we got have bad hip problems. I hate breeders, especially backyard breeders who think wasting a life is an easy way to a quick buck.

It is incredibly difficult to reason with emotionally unstable, erratic people like you.
Neither of us know if those kittens were dumped or not. But it is much more likely that they were with their mother. Fact is most kittens you would encounter on the streets or in nature are raised by their mothers. In fact most adult street cats you see across the globe were raised by mothers outdoors. So the logical, reasonable deduction is that these kittens weren’t alone. Especially considering that these were incredibly young and stats show that usually adult pets are dumped over young ones. It is not difficult to hand out 13 cute, little kittens if you want to get rid of them, trust me.
Of course they approached him. They are kittens. I don’t even know how to respond to that.
And why would the guy take them? Because he loved animals and the kittens are cute. But that is no justification. The mother cat was very likely on the hunt. They do let their kittens alone to find food.
You see, the problem isn’t even just about this story.
It is the deliberate ignorance of you.
You see a cute animal clip and blindly believe anything spoon fed to you and if anyone questions it you lash out emotionally because you don’t want your little, wholesome story to be broken.

My kitten wandered in from the streets to my sister's husband's workshop. Since he was so fearless, they took him and looked around for people willing to give a home. Since they knew I was looking, I ended up taking him in. 5 minutes after meeting, he was asleep in my hand. 6 months later, he's much healthier, and so loving. Still falls asleep in my arms or on my chest, currently asleep on my legs. I love my little Beans!

My found kitty was named Bean, cuz he was as tiny as a bean when we found him. But he grew onto a giant handsome beanstalk! We think he was a Turkish Van because of his size and shape, his bold personality and dog like behavior, which included greeting dogs,, and his love of water. He'd jump into the bathtub with me and play( i had to get him his own toys) , he come in from the rain and demand his towel and wear it around like a a gentleman wearing a robe. He loved going on leashed walks and was trained to heel, sit, stay, wait and release, give (something he caught like a toy or a critter) shake paw, high five, and... be cute, which was his own pose he invented.

That first kitten was so brave and even though I’m sure he/she could tell you were a good person, it was a big risk. That kitten was willing to risk death or injury for its brothers and sisters to get help and food.
I can only imagine how they viewed people since they were more than likely just left there.

Kittens that young can't really understand what is bad and what is good, at least majority of them, and judging by their situation they haven't really lived with humans to take a good judgement on them, they were probably all hungry and would most likely beg for food to anyone who stopped by

Not necessarily, it just could have been a pregnant feral cat. Some breeds can have up to 13 kittens. It could have given birth and abandoned them. I've had that experience.

Scout is such a perfect name for the first little one. He went looking for a good person, found one and the others came charging in. Much love and respect for this man for accepting them into his life and taking care of them also.

I have a rare ginger female cat that I rescued from the side of the road abandoned and scared out of her mind hiding under a bush next to a pond with no telling how many predators like snakes around and there's also groups of coyotes in that area. She was only around 7 weeks old and more than likely wouldn't have survived the night. I just wonder why people leave kittens on the side of the road.
whenever someone rescue an abandoned pet, a new heaven emerges just for them.

Some folks may not understand how much you did for these kits, but you literally saved their lives. They wouldn't have survived on their own hunting for prey. They're too small and inexperienced. This man saved 13 lives. Whether they be human or animal, you completely changed the entire course of these beautiful animals lives, and they'll remember that, as will all the rest of us. @@paul16451 feral cats don't generally like people - ferals need to be socialised to feel comfortable around humans. These ones didn't. They were comfortable enough with people to all approach the man and let him pick them up and put them in his car, and even let him bathe them.

I’m not much of a cat person until 6 months ago, I went to the Portland humane society and fell in love with one cat…then 3 months later rescued an abandoned litter runt kitten, with some special needs. I love them both.
I can understand why people don’t care much for cats, but getting these two have really opened my eyes to how special cats really are, and so much easier to care for compared to dogs.
Oh my gosh he's so gentle and wholesome even during the ambush.
