Every time I watch an M&D vid I am amazed at how much you guys have accomplished over these three years. Given the scope of this project, I think burnout is a perfectly normal part of the process. The interior access to the tent is super cool👍
Thanks Eric. It doesn’t seem that way from this side. All I can see is everything that hasn’t been done.
Flooring…. Sign makers have aluminum urethane composite sheet stock which are strong. A commercial sign materials company in your area should have this and other similar products. Keep up the good work! Like the very detailed videos.
Love the overall update vid! Fun to step back and review the big picture progress to date. (sorry I'm a little late to this)
Thanks
Great update video & good progress. It’s coming together nicely 👍
Thanks 👍
Floor. Leave the exiting ply, put a layer of insulating foam down and then another layer of ply. Top layer can be thinner. Wood is a pretty good insulator to start with.
Thanks. The existing ply has a ton of water damage and needs to be replaced. But I could always put new ply on.
I would evaluate damage and see if you can live with it. If not underside you could over ply it. If on underside you could paint a thick coating of something. But depends on how bad it is.
Use king starboard for your floor. It’s great.
Thanks! I will look that up
I am super interested in the solar/electrical panel that you're building from scratch. I'm looking forward to that video.
It’s coming up next. You are also welcome to see it in person 😀

Maggiolina, best in the business. No electric parts either. Would highly recommend over the Bundutec.
Thanks! I will try to find one to look at. It is an option.
AT Overland AT Topper - just buy the top section. Flips open - lots of room - access from cab. But it is a tent so in the wind will be noisy. Might be slightly longer than your cab roof.
I have thought of this option but I camp in the wind. Lots of wind in Northern NV.
Good idea, I have looked into those topper style campers. A number of issues. Way too long (25-30" overhang), not wide enough usually, way too expensive - even used (at least $10k), and the few companies I contacted were very uninterested in helping me. My favorite was the Oru because of the hard sides and somewhat local but they gave me a very curt "its too long".
What is the length of your roof? I do not believe this would hang over anywhere near that amount.
The max I can go is 94”
@@MogsAndDogs The AT Topper is 93.5 I believe.
@@MogsAndDogsThe width is still an issue 53” but the world does not design for dokas
Are you going to have solar? How many watts at what voltage? I ask because I had the eg4 all in one. It's good, BUT it requires 120v min to generate power.
Howdy. Yes, we will have solar. The goal is 1500-2000 watts but we will see how much room we have when all is said and done.
