- The Unimog based Atacama 4000 is the smallest Atacama expedition vehicle that Action Mobil has manufactured so far. Constructed on a 231 HP Mercedes Unimog U4023 chassis, this 4x4 motorhome combines compact maneuverability and power.
The Atacama is very spacious thanks to the pull-out bed in the rear and the bathroom / toilet section in the front area of the cabin and is therefore also perfectly suitable for smaller 4x4 vehicles such as the Unimog.
Inside, the kitchen is small and the living room has an extendable double bed. Electrical equipment such as the fridge, freezer, underfloor heating, pumps for the water system, 32 “flat screen televisions and others are powered by a 4 x 120 watt solar / 300Ah lithium battery system.

I would never need something with that level of off-road capabilities. However I think the interior in that is beautiful and practical. I would very much like the big motorhome companies to look at that and see how simplicity in design works so well.
There was someone I met at Abenteuer und Allrad 2018 who had a just got an even larger MAN and I got the impression that he did not really need the off road capability - he just wanted a rather flash home!

unimog make great vehicles, but i think i prefer the U lounge with large windows in a vehicle like this, especially with the extra height.

Really nice vehicle for 1 maybe 2, but can you imagine changing a tyre? It would require a fit 30 year old, not an unfit 64...
The same way as I do if I get a flat tyre in any van. I ring the roadside assistance. Most of use cannot change a tyre even in a campervan, never mind something like this. However, I don't know any companies that cover the Sahara Desert!

Very hard to say - it depends on the level of equipment ordered. There would not be much change from EUR350k.

@@MarkChilds One just cannot say. It is a bit like asking how much does a suit cost - it depends on what one asks for. With most videos I do, this is the case. However with this vehicles, it is even more so as the price difference can fluctuate by as much as five times depending on what is inisde.
